I love this video! So easy and your explanations are excellent! I am in Mexico so I can’t find self rising flour but I added 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder and the naan was really good.
It is this recipe that got me to your channel, and then I fell in love with your baking and decorating/plating skills. So you have a new subscriber now !
@@mj-je7el I have made these without gluten before using gluten-free self-raising flour. It does work, however, the dough is very crumbly (due to the lack of gluten) so you can't work it as well. I think using a dairy-free yoghurt substitute would work well though although I have never tried it. If you do, please let me know how it goes!
Deffo! I brush oil/melted butter over the top with salt, pepper, and fresh coriander, but sometimes I add a little salt to the dough. No longer makes it 2 ingredient though XD
Hi Marta! Well I haven't tried it before but I think it's always good to at least partially cook things before freezing. The dough can also be a bit sticky, so it's a lot easier to freeze once the naans have been cooked. What you could do though, is brown them slightly on the griddle on each side without cooking them fully, then freeze and finish cooking them in the oven once defrosted. Hope that helps, let me know how it goes if you give it a go :-) Best regards back from Scotland!
Hi Christy! No, I don't leave the dough to rise. Because I use self-raising flour in the recipe, the naan breads puff up nicely and become fluffy inside once they are cooked in the hot pan! It can be a bit tricky to start with, but let me know if you try again - good luck I hope it works better next time!
Hi there! So I don't use baking powder in this recipe because I use self-raising flour. It's a special kind of flour you can buy in the UK that already has some baking powder mixed into it. If you want to make your own, you can simple mix 500g of flour with 15g of baking powder and you'll have self-raising flour! So for the recipe on my blog and if you only wanted 250g of self-raising flour, just mix some plain flour with 7-8g of baking powder: theunicook.com/2-ingredient-naan-breads-with-garlic-coriander/
Brilliant no messing about !

Brilliant … the recipe I was using didn’t show when to add the topping so I thought it was before cooking 🙈
Oops, sorry! Yes best to add it at the end!
If this is naan bread then I am Angelina Julie 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈
Did you leave it to rise, if so, for how long. I tried this and failed dismally. I am going to try again. :)

She did not add baking powder?

So I went to the grocery store, but I didn’t have enough money for the flour anymore
*Flour* 😆
Fat free “yoghurt”. Yuk, put proper yoghurt in it
I just prefer its slightly runnier texture, but you can use whatever yoghurt you like!
With all that yogurt, does’t the bread have more of a cake texture? I’ll give it a go no matter.👍
No not in my opinion. It's a very fluffy and light-textured bread. Let me know what you think though once you've given it a try :-)
