I love your instructions. You don't miss a thing and your explanations are great. These recipes make up for me not watching my mom cook and learning then.
Indeed a very good recipe! Thanks very much. Just a couple of notes: 1) 2 cups of flour is not 500g due to density. 2 cups is about 240g. 2) I live in tropics and so I only needed about 50-60g of water for the 240g of flour. My trick was to is a blow torch to carefully produce the leopard spots. Worked a treat! Thanks again.
How much water depends on type of flour and grain. High protein grain=high gluten=more water to get same consistency of dough. Best is to try with the minimum water to start with, adding more if needed to reach the desired dough consistency.
I'm a keen cook (I'm not a pro but I got to the SF of Masterchef a few years back) - I love researching and cooking North Indian and Pakistani food. I've watched lots of videos on TH-cam and I have to say your recipes are among the best I've seen! Also as as a British Asian I'm really happy you stick to authentic recipes. Would love to see you do your versions of a lamb or beef nihari as well as chole, seekh kebab and chapli kebab! Keep up all the great work! ❤👍🏽👏🏾
@@jayneh2006It’s called a Tawa. If you search online, you should easily find one, plus Indian stores online & physical ones usually carry them as well. Btw, Amazon does carry as well. Just search for “Tawa pan for cooking Indian roti or chapati” or something similar. Also, if you want the same style, look specifically for a concave one…there are different styles. Hope that helps. 😊
Gonna try this one. Normally I order about 4 nam with a takeaway and freeze 3 ready for when I make my curries which is every week lol. To be fair I've had no luck with making nam so hopefully this one works out for me, thanks for sharing
You are amazing thank you! Could you make a video on educational information like the differences between each type of bread(naan, roti, etc) spices and how to use then etc.
Just happened upon your video in my feed. I love the way your presentation is from a "real" home kitchen and not some fancy youtuber's spic and span island kitchen with potted plants etc. Makes it feel achievable and relatable. I actually have a tawa which I once bought on impulse and have never used.... Going to give this a go. Thanks so much. Subscribed and banged that bell.
you can make a cushion out of tea towels to stretch Nan over its easier oil the other side face down on to the cushion .and after bobbles come on pan bang the grill on high and just rotate under grill works well better if you have electric cookers i found out.super video though
Excellent. I get my Indian food from "Joy of India" on Flatbush ave. in Brooklyn, NY. Your naan looks exactly like it, delicious! Great job. Beautiful English accent too :)
Making these tomorrow! I made your Samosa Chaat last week and it went down a storm. Thanks for sharing your recipes and a Happy New Year from Leicester 🎉
Thank you for your comment, please do subscribe and turn your bell notifications on to see my new videos and don't forget to go through my older videos to find some amazing recipes.
Wow! You made it on ceramic hob, well done. Very good result, i have a gas cooker and i love my Naan to cook on gas 🔥 but you showed how beautiful they come out without that too. I love Naan from good restaurants cooked in Tandoor and my homemade ones, rest are all not appealing to me.
Will thank you for this ....but definitely a work out - I used a easy way Self raising flower , yogurt and bit salt and make on your flat pan and flip on high heat and it works wonderfully but if you want a work out go for this recipes is fantastic thank you !
Thanks for another great video! Simplicity and clarity . You have what it takes to make it easy for anyone to cook great food. Not far until you hit 20K subscribers ! Keep on doing what you do !💚
Am looking for gluten free recipe for Naan …I do use yucca flour, buckwheat, gram flour almond flour, so maybe making a mix of these…? Any ideas? Thanks
The easiest and tastiest naan recipe ever. Have tried a few other recipes but something is never quite right. These produce large naans which are super filling. The dough is also really easy to work with. This will be be my go to naan recipe from now on. Thank you!!
Did you sprinkle water on the back of the pan before placing the naan? I like your tawa, which brand are you using. The one I have never sticks when I flip the pan upside down, it falls.
Mine didn't create the large air pockets like yours, I have tried this twice and although very very tasty, I'm clearly doing something not quite right.
Beta yummy Nan I will make it just like you but please beta can you tell me which tawa that is and where did you get the tawa thank you beta from London with love ❤️
Me too! Great with a nice curry! Please do subscribe - keep watching and please do share my videos to your friends and families, so I can grow the channel. :)
Hiya! I'm looking to scale this for a party of 20 people in three weeks time! I've been challenged by my guests to make some Naan bread for them. I've tried your recipe at home and it works out great, however, can this be scaled precisely for more people e.g. doubling the plain flour and the other ingredients? It's on me if it fails, but if it succeeds I'll most certainly give credit where its due and recommend your channel to my wonderful guests 🙂!
It's nice to see a british Asian explain and show simply. This is easy to follow thanks

You are so right. In another recipe it called for 55g of milk. O realise the recipe is way better with water.
thank you so much i was confued about that🙏🙏🙏
wow looks so tasty and delicious .. thanks for sharing

Gonna try this one. Normally I order about 4 nam with a takeaway and freeze 3 ready for when I make my curries which is every week lol. To be fair I've had no luck with making nam so hopefully this one works out for me, thanks for sharing

Could you make a video on educational information like the differences between each type of bread(naan, roti, etc) spices and how to use then etc.
I'm definitely thinking of doing this, thank you for the suggestion.

How would it be cooked on an induction stove?
Did your other naan recipe a couple times and they turned out great! Excited to try this as it doesn't need to rise, just rest.
Sounds great! Enjoy
you can make a cushion out of tea towels to stretch Nan over its easier
oil the other side face down on to the cushion .and after bobbles come on pan bang the grill on high
and just rotate under grill works well better if you have electric cookers i found out.super video though
I am in amazement 😮 you are a wizard
Can this be done on an induction range?
Excellent. I get my Indian food from "Joy of India" on Flatbush ave. in Brooklyn, NY. Your naan looks exactly like it, delicious! Great job. Beautiful English accent too :)

Wow🎉
Yeeeam thank you so much !!! Have trierd m'y first naan today with your recipe and its Just pretty well done !!!
Wow they look yummy can this be done on a gas oven?
Yes, so much easier on a gas hob than ceramic. You won't need to use the back of the pan.
Hi looks great, obviously this wouldn’t work on an induction hob??
Hi, I'm afraid not. Induction hobs work differently.
no yeast?
They look so good can't wait to try & make these. Thank you for another great video 🙂
Great just one tip the other dry side brush with oil and browns better .
Gas ring is of course better.
Thank you for sharing the recipe.
Where did you get your tawa from as I've recently moved into a rental.that has an induction hob. Thank you
I purchased mine from Morrisons but. I've not seem them since. Try your local Asian supermarket, they may have some.

Never used it so unable to comment. Sorry
Thank you! ❤
Can I use all purpose flour
Never tried it but I don't see why not. Try it and let me know too 🙌😉
This looks great! Can the dough be frozen at any stage?
Hi there, not really as the results won't be the once you defrost it and make them. However, you can make the naans and freeze them.
Great 👍 tips and techniques, but where did you get that pan or what is it called?
Thanks Delia. It's called a Tawa and I purchased mine from my local Morrisons superstore.
Wow I tryed it fantastic kids lov it

Absolutely, much easier on a gas hob than ceramic if im honest.

very nice, seen this on a Sonia Barton video, she also added garlic and coriander to it 👍🏼
Hi, can you show the packet of flour you use it will help a lot thanks 🙏🙏
Yes I will
Did you sprinkle water on the back of the pan before placing the naan? I like your tawa, which brand are you using. The one I have never sticks when I flip the pan upside down, it falls.
No I didn't as I'd applied water to the naan. Its one I picked up from Morrisons.
Thumbs up from me
Wow amazing ❣️
Thanks 🤗
Yummy 😋
Ring on a 9? Deg?
Yummy 👌🏻
Looks nice 👌
I like your recipes. Can you send us link what pan from Amazon please? I love all of your videos.
Hi, I purchased this from my local Morrisons superstore. You can find them in most local Asian shops which do cookware.
Whats the pan you use? Do you have a link?
It's called a Tawa/Tava spelling differs at times. I picked this up from my local Morrisons. I'll see if I find a link and leave it below.
Made them on tawa on gas cooker
One of them when i flipped the naan which stuck to tawa was falling off- did i splash too little water?
The tawa wasn't hot enough.
where can you buy the pan for the naan bread
Looks yummy 👍
Your air fryer wings recipe is so good please can you make more air fryer recipes
Working on it Misha.
Mine didn't create the large air pockets like yours, I have tried this twice and although very very tasty, I'm clearly doing something not quite right.
Supermarket Naans are just rubbery and gash, I will be giving this naan recipe a go!

Thank you 😊 I got mine from Morrisons.
Canny but I spat my tea out when you turned it round 😅😅 took some getting off 👍🏼
What if you have a gas hob?
Same method, just don't use the back of the tava.
Made your ‘Keema naans’ yesterday, I was maybe a little heavy on the filling, but they were out of this world, thank you so much for sharing x
You're welcome Martin, glad you enjoyed then. They are delicious 😊👍
