My space bar switch is super tight. Am I supposed to unscrew the top before taking out the switch? I don’t think so as it’s a hot swap board but the force I’m using isn’t moving it and I’m worried it’s gonna snap something

Great video!! But can I remove the switches first before removing the PCB from the keyboard case? That way I wont dmg the PCB when removing the switches, what do you think? :)

Nice review! Just got mine and planning to do the mods you did with the stabs and foam. Do you think this keyboard can be spray painted? I'm having doubts I could because of the electronics attached to the case.
You could, just remove the components inside, remove the pcb first then unplug all cords conencted to the pcb. Or do spray paint it by layering, just close the crevices of the keyboard, since it is a spray paint it is easier to control

@@kobowo masking tape would do, that's what I use when I repaint my model kits using spray paint. Enjoy!

@@kobowo just to add, most use painter's tape as the adhesive is not too sticky and in my experience does not leave residual adhesive if by chance you want to replace it.
where did you buy rk100 foam dapeners?
If you are happy with the switches, can you leave the switches and remove the PCB from the metal plate without touching the siwtches, in order to add the foam inbetween?

Tips :
If you ever will put case foam, look for a thin one, the Rk100 case has a weird shape making it harder to actually put foam effectively.
Tempest Tape Mod, Literally The easiest mod possible just put (Masking or Painters) tape under the pcb

What exactly is the keycap profile of RK100? l'm looking for new keycaps, and I don't know what time of profile it's compatible to.
@@zinogre4987 Im pretty sure the profile is OEM
@@zinogre4987 also theres no compatibility issues for keycaps, unless its cherry profile, which would probably cause interference, I still don't know what that is

mine just suddenly lost all wireless connection. only wired mode is working. never done any mode at all.

Boba switches so silent, liked it. How much tactile compared to brown switches?
Its definitely more tactile. And it has a heavier press, you could choose from 62g or 68g. While browns are only 45g. Hope this helped!

Do you have any Idea to adjust the brightness of the indicator lights? Mine seems so low or is not working at all. When I press capslock key the indicator doesnt lit. Hoping for your reply. Thanks
I dont think theres a way to increase the brightness of it, im sorry. You could replace the led lights of it if you want but i dont have any electrical engineering skills to help you out :(
@@ItsCCMTV Awts, sayang naman. Un lang problem ko need ko kasi ung indicator lights para sa work. Aside from it wala naman problem sa keyboard. Mukang factory defect

Are you replacing your batteries? You could just gently push them out or use a tool for leverage

I'm having a hard time knowing when the keyboard is fully charge. Do you know how or when the keyboard is fully charge?
I just charge mine for a good 2hrs the manual doesnt tell us anything about the charging indicator. Sorry

What's the thickest foam/pad that could fit inside the RK100
Aside from adding foam on top of the PCB, have you tried adding foam at the bottom or at the case itself?
Sorry I dont know what thickness is the safest to use for the rk100 pcb, regarding the bottom foam I did already try and use it but not for the rk100, i used that mod on my rakk LP. its quite time consuming especially cutting it out and fitting it properly, the materials to be used is quite controversial and still ends up on user preference. And to be honest its not that useful or it doesnt really have that big impact on the sound. The biggest impact on the sound is the material where your keyboard is resting, is it wood, glass or a desktop mouse pad? It always sounds better on a desktop mouse pad for me. But if you want my opinion, i use foam material, but it is recommended to use butyl rubber for the bottom material. Sorry for the long reply
I guess the best mod for the RK 100 is to replace the plate with a brass version.
if you're rich sure, if practicality then no, it's just a waste of money in my opinion. :( you could purchase a different switch or a comfortable keycap, but it is still your money and still your keyboard, as long as you are happy and comfortable with your keyboard I have no problem with it! :)

That’s a lot of lube. What’s the benefit to replacing the factory lube?
you're more confident with the lube brand you are using and you could apply the amount of lube that you wanted/preferred.
If you are satisfied with factory lube then it is fine, since Keyboard modding is all about your own preference and not other people's. :D

medyo may delay ang rk 100 no guys ano kaya sa mga rk ang walang delay may rk 100 ako dalawa bali bumli ako ung white and tong black with orange mas ok ung stock ng black kesa sa white mas maingay yang white na yan ung stock black ganda ng tunog . kaso same ung dalawa me delay minsan kahit naka rekta pa ng white kaya pag mabilis kayo mag type medyo alanganin to . nagka rk61 din ako ginawa ko na nga pro e ung alluminum same pare mas ma delay un tapos need mo pa bluetooth dun unlike dito sa rk 100 me option ka 2.4hz may libre dongle sa likuran . pero sa price takte . ang expect ko mas maganda performance neto kesa dun sa a4tech kong di man mech keyboard di kasi un recharchable tapos ang mura 800 lang me mouse pa ang ganda ng response nun kesa sa rk . maporma lang royal kludge pero sa performance hanap niyo a4tech talaga tapos di maingay logitech kasi ang mahal ng sobra ano pa kaya maganda baka me alam kayo
