      That one guy named May anything more than that would be forced and toxic diversity. If they were to make a video with a black transperson, a white disabled person, an Asian obsese person and a Middle Eastern non-binary person it would be so obviously forced to be politically correct and please tumblr. Their kind of diversity is beautiful because it’s so obvious it’s natural and based on the person’s skill and intellect, not just a specific characteristic. So I’d actually describe this as way better than “better than nothing”

      Can someone copy/paste my comment please? Jubilee keeps deleting it and i dont understand why.
      I posted a separate comment on here and it got deleted. Not cool. But here you have it again:
      This is really sweet.
      And inspirational. Could you please do a "Do they think the same" with:
      Muslims and the Sharia - male and female - especially the part where a woman isn't allowed to testify when there is no male witness
      Paedophiles and their story - male and female (if they exist??) do they know it's wrong, is it really their sexuality, etc
      Domestic violence abusers - male and female - is it not having self-control or what is it??
      Please do these for me and anyone who is curious. I really need to know to decide what I think of them, or not.

      Lol what? How are personal political opinions something you should be more diverse in? Like you can’t ask someone if they’re conservative or liberal when you’re hiring I meann that’s just a result of where you live. If you live in a highly liberal area like la then obviously most people are gonna lean left. Like for me political opinions are no ones business except close friends and myself even my parents aren’t people I talk to about politics. I don’t think companies should try and compensate for that because they live in a liberal area that doesn’t make sense. Diversity is about different races, cultures from people from different countries and/or ancestry from different countries’ cultures, genders, religions, etc. Right? Since when did ideological or philosophical principles become a necessary part of diversifying at least in terms of hiring people for your company? Idk seems like you couldn’t do that without being called out for possibly being discriminatory.

    I want Kendra and everyone on the Jubilee team to know that y'all have made an impact. This channel has made me more aware. Right now I'm struggling a lot with school, and things in my past that used to weigh me down a lot because I felt it was my battle to fight alone. But this channel just made me aware that it's not just me on my own. People are with me too. My relationship with my mom has gotten a lot more open. Things I thought I would take to my grave with me I'm bringing up to her. I told her about my depression, my suicide attempt in middle school and my suicidal thoughts, I've told her about my thoughts and dreams, my nightmares, my fears, everything both good and bad. And she's sharing with me too. I've heard more of her story than ever before. I've shared tears with her. It's making an impact. I thank y'all so much for changing my life.

    The importance of jubilee is not in changing anyone's ideologies but learning how to conversate and work with someone who is completely different, even when talking about that trigger topic. That is SO important. We now live in a world of great divisions and if we don't learn how to get along and work for common goods despite our backgrounds (ethnicity, politics, religion, philosophies, etc), this world will split apart at the seams.

      @Vanessailuvyuh 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      James Maloney I mean I’m no expert, just a uni student, but it would depend what specifically you would want to do. I for instance am studying media in the broadest sense (advertising, social media, communication technology, history of media/communication, political economy etc) which could apply to a variety of industries. But if you would want to work in the marketing or social media sphere some type of media or business/marketing background would probably be best, but for media companies like jubilee you could also work on production aspects and studying how to film and edit videos, etc. If you wanted to look more into the analysis side of what they do to focus on empathy, getting a historical background on different wars, countries, aboriginal studies or feminist movements for example could be beneficial to gain a better understanding of our world and how different ideologies have come about. There’s a ton of different angles to go from, you’d just have to think about what interests you most and go from there!
