I would like to know if they would be place with the engineers and used as support or would tey be under the command of the elites as some sort of shock troops.

Really put's one of Truth's final phrases into context: "I see now why they left you behind." Maybe he was just in denial that his faith was a lie or maybe he did genuinely believe it but it seemed like he thought humans were the dregs of forerunner civilisation, the ones unworthy of becoming gods.
I find an interesting thought with this though, had the covenant attempted to peacefully explain their religious quest to humanity; there would have been humans saying the covenant were demons. The devil's first recorded lie, "ye shall be as gods," wouldn't have gone over well with the biblically inclined.

I think you're on the right path. Humanity is prone to fracturing, so I think that some would have joined while others would not. This likely would have lead to a civil war within humanity...atleast until the truth about the Great Journey was uncovered. At that point, I think the vast majority of covenant allies would defect (possibly with some of the covenant), but this would lead to tension within the ranks of the human resistance because of the fact of being on separate sides of a civil war. From there, who knows what will happen. History is full of examples of victory after a reconciliation of sides or collapse because of an inability to reconcile.
Knower of truth with that argument, the mythologies of old could still be alive and well. Religions die out in response to cultural changes. They’re born out of cultural changes. It’s totally valid to think that in 500 years there would be no Christianity or Islam.

Humanity absolutely would have submitted to the Covenant if that had been an option. They were faced with extinction and any alternative would have been preferable. The Prophets' biggest mistake was seeking to destroy humanity rather than conquer them. It left the humans with absolutely nothing to lose.

Not to mention that there are many chapters in the first and second books dedicated to this, as well as some after. So the SPARTAN-IIs would exist. I doubt they would have been utilized and heavily relied upon as we see them in the current timeline, so it is possible the creation of SPARTAN-IIIs and SPARTAN-IVs wouldn't have happened though.
I don't see the unsc as materialist. Probably egalitarian and militarists. and maybe a little xenophile, this base off the apparent aliens now living in human space post UNSC-covenant war. Or at very pre-war they were, so the war only back to neutral on that scale.
The covenant got lucky about how they upgraded their ships. They were not punished by not having kinetic weapons because the UNSC didn't use shields during the war.
Honestly, I think if humanity could have joined covenant, we still would not. I don't think all of humanity could have been convinced to join this new religion and powerfull persons would probably just not want to see Earths empire of 800+ colonies become a "memberstate" of the Covenant.

Humanity and the Forerunners weren't entirely created by the Precursors. The Precursors are also implied to have engineered both species from their original forms, hence in the Halo Universe various species of archaic humans exist.
Well, part of the Devolution process the Forerunners gave mankind was to make us as separate from the original baseline as possible; a la tower of babel creation story.

@@Reyma777 actually its because forerunners and humans have one ancestor, known as the inheritors. the inheritors were chosen by the precursors to hold the mantle, but hey were to good at what they were made for, so the precursors split the inheritors genetic code into two strands. one would become the forerunners, while the other became humanity hence the similarities.

Yep, back during the time of the Archaeo-Human/Forerunner War; the Prophets(San'Shyuum) and Humanity were close knit allies that also so happened to share a lot of cultural heritage together. Also, lots of fucking both ways across species lines. I remember in Cryptum that the San'Shyuum were described as very beautiful and fuckable looking, obviously over 100,000 years things changed(for the better, I mean really who really would fuck a prophet other than the most skantankolous kind of thots). Also not only were both species allies, but shared an empire together.

Something Brakkk Master Chief and the Arbiter killed the Prophets. I believe it’s explained in Halo 3, although 343 made the covenant the enemies again with Halo 4 and a small cult that still believed in all that junk the covenant believed.
Covenant Empire collapsed after Great Schism. The official remnants led by last prophet were defeated by combined UNSC and separatists forces on the Ark.
It the ended when The Elite fleet destroyed the Brute fleet, The UNSC soldiers destroyed the Covenant soldiers, and Master Chief and The Arbiter killed Prophet of Truth. Where it ended? Installation 00, The Lesser Ark. When it ended? The fighting ceased on December 11 2552 at The Lesser Ark, the truce and official ending to the war was March 3 2553 at the ruins of New Mombasa.
Seeing as Xenomorphs are from beyond the SW Galaxy, I doubt his force senses could directly detect it. He could likely detect a lack of force around it however. I'm certain he'd overcome a single Xenomorphs relatively easily, but if he were to be trapped in a hive, that would be more interesting.
If a pissed off sleepy lady can waste countless xenomorphs, then I think a bunch of rebel soldiers would probably be able to take one out with blasters
ODSTs vs N7s, N7 would most likely win. N7 Training is very intense, literally the first day they are given Basic Gear and placed on an Asteroid the last few to run out of Oxygen are accepted. Then once they recover training more than 20 hours each day, leading small combat teams through hostile Terrain with little food and Water, and if they do well become N1s. And that's where they begin the proper Courses. Once they reach N6 is when they enter actual Combat zones, and if they survive, they become N7s.
@@fenrisvermundr2516 honestly I would say it depends pre great war or post post the ODST would have a major advantage over the N7 (post and pre reaper invasion) and ODST training isn't easy either it has base level spartan training which normally required arguments to their DNA to survive. So I would say that the training was about equal tech I would give the N7s but overall combat experience I say the ODST would win post great war they have experience from fighting rebels and then fighting the covenant. So I would say pre great war 4/10 go to the ODST after 7/10 go to the ODST.

While the design of the UNSC is influenced by the US military from an out of universe perspective, it is never stated in the canon what are the influences of the UEG both in and out of universe.

Halo's lore is so much better than most people realise. I've been a fan of the series since I was 7, and stopped playing when I was 16 because I didn't like the newer games, and I had no idea that the story went so deep until recently when I started watching these videos.

Truth actually mentioned knowing the reality of their religion in Halo 3. After killing Miranda he cites "Your forefathers wisely set aside their compassion. Steeled themselves for what needed to be done." Humanity's forefathers the Forerunner set their compassion aside and activated Halo. It needed to be done to stop the Flood.

I can't see any way mankind as a whole could have peacefully coexisted with covenant society depicted in the Halo franchise during the 9th age of reclamation for very long. Theological differences between the many factions of man and that of the covenant would have eventually struck a wedge in the peaceful coexistence of the two. Species wide indoctrination to an alien religion would have either been met with immediate resistance and open war as was the case during the events of the games. Or man kind could have agreed to an alliance, which would have eventually turned into dissent and rebellion in the societies of man as the covenant government gradually imposed itself into human society. - I may be wrong but i like to think the version of mankind depicted in the halo franchise would have been wise enough to see through the veil of lies of the covenant hierarchy before it was too late.
Humanity would most likely Agee and disagree to the proposal, thus plunging humanity into a a civil war that would have one faction opposing the covenant as it would mean having their own race bow down to another. On the other hand there would be factions supporting the indoctrination into the covenant mainly out of fear that the covenant would easily wipe humanity off the face of the galaxy, some would even see it as a way to expand and grow their power, the war with the insurrectionists would more than likely see the rebels be the first to accept as it would be an easy way to get an overwhelming advantage over the UNSC. If the whole of humanity were to join the covenant there would be constant war between humanity as war is in our nature which then can lead humanity to be downgraded to the bottom rung of the covenant hierarchy along side the grunts and jackles, or even worse the complete genocide of humanity. It is a bit stupid not to accept them into their empire. If they asked humanity, they would have a good chance of them saying yes. If they agree humanity would have access to technological advancement but humans aren't stupid in Halo.

It should be noted that in the pre-343 lore, humanity themselves were actually the forerunners. 343 are the ones who made the forerunners a separate species of noseless fishpeople.

In one of the books some covenant guy mentioned that humans could join as a junior race around the time the glyph of reclamation is detected on Harvest. Then its all out war when they realize its reclaimer and not reclamation.

Humanity and the Forerunners weren't entirely created by the Precursors. The Precursors are also implied to have engineered both species from their original forms, hence in the Halo Universe various species of archaic humans exist.
Well, part of the Devolution process the Forerunners gave mankind was to make us as separate from the original baseline as possible; a la tower of babel creation story.
Tyvern Overlord I think humans were naturally evolving into modern humans, but the precursors enhanced them genetically to create the stronger, faster, & more intelligent “ancient humans” and forerunners removed the genetic enhancements. As an aside, I think forerunner resemble humans simply due to them being apes that the precursors heavily enhanced before seeding them on Ghibalb.

the inheritors were chosen by the precursors to hold the mantle, but hey were to good at what they were made for, so the precursors split the inheritors genetic code into two strands.
one would become the forerunners, while the other became humanity

You left out a bit of important info regarding the Prophets and that is the fact that their race also existed alongside the ancient humans and the forerunners.
Yep, back during the time of the Archaeo-Human/Forerunner War; the Prophets(San'Shyuum) and Humanity were close knit allies that also so happened to share a lot of cultural heritage together. Also, lots of fucking both ways across species lines. I remember in Cryptum that the San'Shyuum were described as very beautiful and fuckable looking, obviously over 100,000 years things changed(for the better, I mean really who really would fuck a prophet other than the most skantankolous kind of thots). Also not only were both species allies, but shared an empire together.
Tyvern Overlord from what I remember, the San’Shyuum also lost a war with the forerunners and were subsequently punished by having their beauty stripped away as it was something they prided themselves on. (It’s been awhile so this could be off)

Something Brakkk Master Chief and the Arbiter killed the Prophets. I believe it’s explained in Halo 3, although 343 made the covenant the enemies again with Halo 4 and a small cult that still believed in all that junk the covenant believed.

Installation 00, The Lesser Ark. When it ended? The fighting ceased on December 11 2552 at The Lesser Ark, the truce and official ending to the war was March 3 2553 at the ruins of New Mombasa.

They would all be dead before Vader even shows up, he might be able to kill it but it all depends on if he senses it first.
Seeing as Xenomorphs are from beyond the SW Galaxy, I doubt his force senses could directly detect it. He could likely detect a lack of force around it however. I'm certain he'd overcome a single Xenomorphs relatively easily, but if he were to be trapped in a hive, that would be more interesting.

ODSTs vs N7s, N7 would most likely win. N7 Training is very intense, literally the first day they are given Basic Gear and placed on an Asteroid the last few to run out of Oxygen are accepted. Then once they recover training more than 20 hours each day, leading small combat teams through hostile Terrain with little food and Water, and if they do well become N1s. And that's where they begin the proper Courses. Once they reach N6 is when they enter actual Combat zones, and if they survive, they become N7s.
@@fenrisvermundr2516 honestly I would say it depends pre great war or post post the ODST would have a major advantage over the N7 (post and pre reaper invasion) and ODST training isn't easy either it has base level spartan training which normally required arguments to their DNA to survive. So I would say that the training was about equal tech I would give the N7s but overall combat experience I say the ODST would win post great war they have experience from fighting rebels and then fighting the covenant. So I would say pre great war 4/10 go to the ODST after 7/10 go to the ODST.

These ideas included self governance under human authority, a democracy style republic of government/egalitarianism, and personal freedoms including the freedom of religion. With all of these a small handful of humans or even some small colonies may have decided to join however still unlikely but the vast majority of humans would have nothing of it. The a war may have still played out but there is more likely a chance that then the Covenant would have learned the truth of Humanity and the Forerunners and in turn it may either have the Covenant destroy itself completely like in the Halo timeline or the Covenant would fracture with have a significant percentage deciding to follow Humanity as their leaders duo to us being the successors/heirs of their gods and then having the Covenant disband after that.
While the design of the UNSC is influenced by the US military from an out of universe perspective, it is never stated in the canon what are the influences of the UEG both in and out of universe.
lol of course it has to be based of america, not like there are hundreds of other nations that could have influenced it. From an out of lore perspective though it wouldn't be surprising considering Bungie is an american company and had to show bias.

But I do know that more concrete evidence is needed to fully support or deny that idea. So until then it is the little info we have on the UEG mixed in with a lot of inference.

Halo's lore is so much better than most people realise. I've been a fan of the series since I was 7, and stopped playing when I was 16 because I didn't like the newer games, and I had no idea that the story went so deep until recently when I started watching these videos.

Truth actually mentioned knowing the reality of their religion in Halo 3. After killing Miranda he cites "Your forefathers wisely set aside their compassion. Steeled themselves for what needed to be done." Humanity's forefathers the Forerunner set their compassion aside and activated Halo. It needed to be done to stop the Flood.
I think they would of joined at first, but once they found out that activating the rings would kill everyone they would defect or try to tell them.

I can't see any way mankind as a whole could have peacefully coexisted with covenant society depicted in the Halo franchise during the 9th age of reclamation for very long. Theological differences between the many factions of man and that of the covenant would have eventually struck a wedge in the peaceful coexistence of the two. Species wide indoctrination to an alien religion would have either been met with immediate resistance and open war as was the case during the events of the games. Or man kind could have agreed to an alliance, which would have eventually turned into dissent and rebellion in the societies of man as the covenant government gradually imposed itself into human society.

I may be wrong but i like to think the version of mankind depicted in the halo franchise would have been wise enough to see through the veil of lies of the covenant hierarchy before it was too late.
Funny part is, Ancient Humanity had an alliance with the San'Shyuum, they traded often and had close relations.

I already knew all of this, but for some reason I desperately, *desperately* wanted to hear this from you.
Humanity would most likely Agee and disagree to the proposal, thus plunging humanity into a a civil war that would have one faction opposing the covenant as it would mean having their own race bow down to another. On the other hand there would be factions supporting the indoctrination into the covenant mainly out of fear that the covenant would easily wipe humanity off the face of the galaxy, some would even see it as a way to expand and grow their power, the war with the insurrectionists would more than likely see the rebels be the first to accept as it would be an easy way to get an overwhelming advantage over the UNSC. If the whole of humanity were to join the covenant there would be constant war between humanity as war is in our nature which then can lead humanity to be downgraded to the bottom rung of the covenant hierarchy along side the grunts and jackles, or even worse the complete genocide of humanity.

It is a bit stupid not to accept them into their empire. If they asked humanity, they would have a good chance of them saying yes. If they agree humanity would have access to technological advancement but humans aren't stupid in Halo.

It should be noted that in the pre-343 lore, humanity themselves were actually the forerunners. 343 are the ones who made the forerunners a separate species of noseless fishpeople.
Indeed, as someone who doesn't consider 343i's inclusions to be canon, the Prophets were not mistaken as far as I'm concerned.

God, that explains quite a bit. I was always confused, even after reading so much from the extended universe, why Truth said " Your forefathers wisely set aside their compassion, steeling themselves for what must be done".
I always thought that this was a general criticism of Human behavior, but this makes so much sense, considering truth thought the humans to be forerunners.
In one of the books some covenant guy mentioned that humans could join as a junior race around the time the glyph of reclamation is detected on Harvest. Then its all out war when they realize its reclaimer and not reclamation.
