So i've changed OEM fuel pump as it was failing and new pump is TYC and came with metal sensor and as soon i installed i've been getting P0181 fuel temp sensor. So i will put plastic one which was working and metal one does NOT work. It's opposite for my fuel pump. Maybe my fuel pump just came with bad metal temp sensor.

The fuel pump that I got from Rockauto has the same code. I’m beginning to believe it was never on the new fuel pump. Now I need to remove the pump and swap the sensor from the old to the new one. Horrible ! Asking for my $$ back. Please compare and test before installation.

Sir I always buy OEM parts from Advance Auto Parts other place they sold aftermarket parts Nissan or Infiniti recommend use only OEM parts and when you buy the parts you buy what lifetime warranty

Also, just clarification....the fuel temp sensor on the new pump was never installed so I had to transfer it over from the old to the new pump body.... hence the P0183 code. nuts right

@@talkingwithcars Hey im looking at a hitachi fuel pump and the temp sensor on it looks black so i assume its plastic. The cheap non oem have a metal sensor. Is this guy correct the sensor needs to be metal? if so how does the hitachi oem have a black plastic sensor?

@@user-2Hteyasizyc I’m not 100% sure about the need for it or even if you can choose which one you can get but the original (130k miles) was plastic on my car and is still working and I transferred form old to new pump assembly and worked. But be aware of the sensor and make sure it’s there prior to doing the job. Some newer models don’t have the sensor at the pump at all. This is a good video because it offers awareness and personal experience. The rest is on your research. Good luck !!

Reset the code then go to the hood disconnects mass airflow sensor start the car until the engine light turned on but the OBD on the car and you receive the code for Miss air flow sensor go back put the sensor back to his place then reset the lights after that start the car for 5 minutes or 10 minutes and the car start drive better

If the divide the fuel pump brand new you still have lifetime warranty if the fuel pump the one you have in the car is old is the factory one so it's better to find a used fuel pump from someone and Facebook markets if you would like to use something Factory

Is Common's problem when you install aftermarkets parts on Infiniti because recommend Factory Parts Only so we have to do go to the place to buy the fuel pump and ask them for OEM parts with the sensor coming and metal no plastic

Hello, I have a very weird situation if you could help. My 2010 Nissan Altima 2.5s has a crank won't start situation. It has P0463 and P0183. I filled my tank with 105% (more than full) and parked on a 10 degree inclined slope. I don't know if these two codes would cause my car crank but no start? Last time it had a starting sound for 1st second, then died on the 2nd second.
I checked battery - good. I pulled out fuel line before the injector, when I switch to on position, there were fuel shooting out. The fuse of the fuel pump is good. I even changed a camshaft position sensor, didn't help. I removed engine air filter, sprayed starting fluid, didn't work. Car is cranking, so I assume the starter is good.
    What can the problem(s) be?
    Thank you in advance!
