Noel is my second favorite songwriter ever. He knows what melodies and notes go together. He knows what people with good taste want to hear. live forever is one of the best songs ever written. We needed Oasis in the 90’s. They were a breath of fresh air. Robert Smith is still my fav songwriter. 17 seconds, Faith and Pornography are golden.
Load era Metallicas look is when the Metal guys tried to go Emo. Which wasnt even a thing. Load is a grunge inspired record, which was not black eyeliner and rock leather jackets.

And when their American stadium tour sells out soon the British media will have egg on their face.

Blink is incredibly similar to Oasis. Terrible musicians, cliche 4 chord songs, silly lyrics, and caricature like personalities. The difference is that Blink is self aware. They know they suck. And they know that we know that they suck. And that is what's fun. Oasis is kind of the opposite, which i assume is a cultural difference in taste and humor between the US and the UK. They act like the are amazing, even though they know they suck, and we know they suck, but everyone seems to be in on the joke.

I bought Be Here Now when it came out days before heading up to college. I even bought the Standing Shoulders Giants crap still giving them a chance. Every album after that is worse and worse and worse.
Sad how some people think that their personal taste is somehow objectively 'correct'. I'd grown out of that mindset by my early 20s but some grown men and women still think like this.... 😂 Oasis may not be to your taste, but the immense success, respect from other bands (as seen in this video), and influence on other bands speaks for itself.
