Noel Gallagher is and always will be the brains and genius behind Oasis, but when I think of Oasis the first thing that enters my brain is Liam's voice. Such an iconic band that was and still is the soundtrack of my life. I miss them but I'm grateful I was alive during the Oasis era.

Oasis have definitely become more admired by American musicians as a whole than they have by British musicians. British musicians might more often use Radiohead or The Verve or The Stone Roses as their gold standard from the last 30/40 years.
I'd say Oasis took the proverbial torch that The Stone Roses were carrying. If there really are any British musicians still finding success in that genre it would probably be the Arctic Monkeys as the most popular. They were massively influenced by Oasis. Lesser sized artists like Kasabian and Jake Bugg too.
As a yank I love British rock n roll. Beatles. Stones. Zep. The Smiths. Oasis, Pistols, Bowie...on and on and on, but the Roses? I could never quite get it. Even tried recently. “Adored”? Overrated. There’s like no verses, not that that matters, but it doesn’t do much. IDK. Long live British Rock N Roll.

If Noel hadn't had the lens to direct his songs he would have been a semi successful songwriter. Inversely without Noel, Liam woulda been a memorable singer. It would not have been this force nature we call Oasis. One needed the other unquestionably.
Yes, written by Noel, he owns them. He did everything. He composed the music, created the melodies and made backing tracks for each musician and showed them, literally, "It goes like this". He wrote all the lyrics and sat with the producer and engineer while making the albums white the other guys goofed off until Noel called them in for their bits. That is why Noel owns them, he is the only one who receives the publishing royalties and Liam can not perform them without Noel's permission and if Noel does give Liam permission, Liam has to pay Noel for singing HIS songs.

You do not need to personally ask for permission to perform another songwriter's work at a live show, as concert venues are responsible for obtaining a blanket license from their local PRO(s) to ensure the legal status of songs that are played within their premises.

Umm hello? Nirvana? Radiohead? Weezer? RHCP? Or even Guns N Roses? In my opinion Oasis don’t even fall into the top 10 bands of the 90s. I just personally think there were a lot of bands who were doing the whole Oasis thing and doing it better. I respect Noel’s vision as an artist but Liam totally dragged the band down and I think the band would be miles better without him. Noel had a better voice and if Noel was just a rhythm player and they got a decent lead guitarist to fill in I rate Oasis would’ve been a lot better.
Tyree Flores Noels story has stayed consistent, Liam Change’s his feelings towards Noel every second. He loves him one second, hates him the next,, he wants oasis for the fans, says fuck oasis right after. He loves to pretend he’s the “man of the people”

Liam and Noel may not like this, but they both remind me of John Lydon. Just in the way that they are both straight forward, with zero bullshit. They don't answer questions the way they think you want, they answer honestly. That's what makes a true rock star in my opinion. Rock isn't about "right" answers; it's about saying what you've got to say in the most direct, honest way you can. No one does this better than Lydon, Liam, and Noel.

I find it so sad that Liam and Noel’s Music can bring so many people together but they’re so far apart as brothers. Iv genuinely seen a pub full of people, regulars and non regulars of the boozer with an arm over each others shoulders Singing stand by me lol. For me personally oasis are the last real rock band to come out of England not just because of the music but they’re personality and attitude.

Oasis broke up because Liam is a child that can't control his emotions (see also the accusations of DV).

Whatever those ‘extraordinary circumstances are they must be impossible since the ‘one love’ concert wasn’t good enough for the reunion which IMO seemed like the perfect time to pull all the shit and aside and stand together instead of having some stupid beef
