They never broke their legacy. Oasis was selling out huge arenas in the US to support their final album. Keep in mind their last 4 albums essentially got no airplay on US radio yet every concert sold out and every fan was singing every word to every song.
Oasis had one top ten hit in America - Wonderwall. Even Noel said the band lost momentum in that country. I'm sure they did sell out decent sized arenas but they were never big in the USA.
@@BattleBecause Fake News. First three were very big. Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova, Don't Look Back in Anger and Do You Know What I Mean were heavily over played on MTV and The Radio and now that I think about it Stand by Me and Don't Go Away were overplayed too. I would know that my junior high era. I don't mean that negatively either, I'm a fan. But yeah, the one hit wonder is a myth.
@@JustinRoss-rf1lg Name the American chart positions for all the songs you mentioned other than Wonderwall. Go look it up. You will see that not ONE song was a hit in the USA for Oasis other than Wonderwall. Go ahead and look all those songs up. I'm waiting...
Problem with groups like this is that all music from that time the 90s began to sound the same. Such music has well and truly died for a few decades now. The scene has moved on a long time ago. Electric guitars are no more. It's all about Teknic music these days. It's what everybody and today's generation want and listen too. The DJ is now the man and Manchester has the best Female DJs to put on good concerts. Most people reading this probably wern't even born when this group split up.
@Danny-sd5vm Noel claims not to sing as well as Liam, but his voice is almost as good. He only needs to rehearse more. He has a more professional attitude on stage. Liam messing about like that would have affected the playing of the rest of the band as they wouldn't be able to concentrate as well.
Oasis connected with people, and whilst some of their media persona is taken too literally by some low flying braincells, their genuine personalities connected with those of us who were from the same place as they were, the same communities, the same lifestyle ... and on top of that, they had songs we could sing to the top of our voices to - no band, and I mean NO BAND, in history connected to the people as Oasis connected when they arrived in 1994 with Definitely Maybe.
both of them have had No1 albums and sold out shows in recent years, Liam even played Knebworth himself in 2022. The demand is for them to be brothers again, but demand to see them live again - old fans like me and new fans who never saw them live
The Gallaghers could have kept on doing their own thing and continued to be rich. Noel could easily live off of the royalties from his songs and be just fine.

@Danny-sd5vm have another look at the US tour dates - they were never all that big venues.

I'll drink a pint for every day that Oasis stay reunited!
Oasis is awesome! Excelent songs. I❤ It🇬🇧🙌🏻🤘🏻🎸✨
Come to South America PLEASE 🌎🇧🇷✨🙏🏻🙌🏻✨😊
At that concert in 1996 Liam only pretended to be ill and then turned up to the concert to laugh at Noel trying to sing lead vocals.
Noel became a legend that evening. I remember watching as a 14 year old in sheer amazement and how talented Noel was.

Still connecting with the people eh , £600 for a concert ticket
@@benmacdui9328 no ticket was sold for £600 most got them for face value

I hope they come to Southamerica next Year... I would really love to See them Live

Turns out Liam was right about the 100 million pounds, that Noel disputed...
Tonight im a rock roaster.

I think this might be an exception. 😂
Both con artists and people are gullible to buy tickets to see the loosers
Yeah losers that became one of the most successful bands ever dude

Liam stole ya girl?

Andrew with one subscriber, Wonderwall playing in the background of his bedroom in his parents house, sat in his pants.
The reality is that if they ever do return to Australia, it would be a massive event, that most of the country would get behind.
Half a billion quids or more are the estimated revenue once they finish the tour of 2025. No one can top that. 😂
Nobody needed them then. Nobody needs them now.

And yet they sold out all their tickets. How strange is it.
Nobodys shouldn't talk about Legends! 😅
