Hey Mighty Mamas! It's Spring Cleaning time and we need to tackle all of those neglected spaces in our home! Today I bring you a miracle cleaning for your oven racks that takes very little to no effort at all! I hope this helps you continue on our journey to take back control of the mess in our home! Also, if you haven't seen it here is the link to my video for The Best Way to Clean Your Oven Glass Door: th-cam.com/video/hpD0FLjwi_s/w-d-xo.html
I love this hack. I moved into my partners house which had been a bachelor pad for too long. So much cleaning 😔. I tried everything on the oven racks. But this did the trick 😄. Thank you so much !
I'm definitely going to have to try this! My oven is in need of some serious deep cleaning. It doesn't look too terrible but it smells pretty rough when it's on sometimes! 🙈
This did well with the rack I really don't use. Dried that one off, emptied the tub, and used the rest of my dish detergent to redo the messier one. Added more hot water each hr, too. Any suggestions on other ways to get this done? My friend is in a basement floor 1 bedroom with no yard and no tub, only a shower. Because of that, she IS careful with her oven racks, though.
So, glad it worked for you. As for your friend. I guess she would just have to lay down some plastic on the floor and prespray them with a dawn soap and water mixture and just keep going back to spray them so they stay wet. And then hours later wiped them down and dry them. Not sure how good it would work but this is my only suggestion if she doesn't have a tub or yard to use a baby pool. Using a baby pool in the apartment would come great risk of a bigger mess. Good luck and thanks for being here!🤍🙏
Thank you for this method I want to ask you this.....can you use vinegar and baking soda instead of Dawn detergent I will be trying this today Please send me a message 🤗
Well I for one never knew you could clean oven racks...I guess I missed that in Home Ec. 40yrs ago....lol I have always just bought new racks every couple years when I deep cleaned my oven...Going to give this a try! Has to be way cheaper than what I have been doing!
I suppose that I'm surprised that many other people do not do this, but after spending HOURS (and yes, 6 hours is a LOOOONG time) one time to clean racks, I now cover my racks in aluminum foil and whenever it's time to clean the oven and racks I just rip off the old foil, and use white vinegar and water to clean the racks, and then refresh the foil. The whole process is less than one hour and I go to lunch and/or dinner. 6 hours? Nuh-Uh... Nope! No ma'am. No, sir!
Hi there simply Amazing I have been putting My oven racks in My dishwasher do a brilliant job but wow here I come Oven Racks I'm coming too get you in the bath for a nice long soak in the bath lol lol lol. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊👀👀👀😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Thank you, Mighty Mama - cleaning oven racks with Blue Dawn in the bathtub really works! 👍🏻

I use a large plastic storage bin. I keep a big one empty just for soaking big things. Usually next to the shower/bath so its easier to drain.
Tried it, worked fantastic!

Thank you! I love how relatable you are.
Concerned about the cleanup of all that Dawn liquid in tub afterwards. How did that go?
Just use COLD water to rinse it out or more vinegar
yes, it works. I have done this before.
Love the vacuum, what brand and/or style is it?
Ahh this is incredibly satisfyingly to watch!! I am doing this today!!!!
Hope you enjoy it! xo
This is an awesome video, I will be doing this.
A LOT easier than taking them outside, laying them on newspaper and spraying with EasyOff over cleaner!! Then SOSing them. Thanks
Oh my gosh you're awesome!!! I'm definitely doing this. Love your necklace also. 💜💜💜

What if u don’t have a bathtub? Need an alternative!
Wonder how well this would work on that nasty grill rack?
i just tried the dishwasher tabs, in the tub, didn't do anything,
Supposed to be liquid I believe

Or you could just soak them in a plastic tub.
Why not call the racks bad girls instead of bad boys?

Will try it tomorrow !!!
