Seth and James are honestly the best, most knowledgeable pair of fighting game commentators out there. I love these two and the dynamic they have between them.
What I like most about this is that Top 8 had, "either different characters represented, six different countries." That's the sign of a great game and a great community.
Can't tell you how grateful I am for you uplodaing this! See, I'd have loved to watch it live but in my timezone that would've been around 5-6 a.m. and I had to go to work today, so thanks for giving me the opportunity to come home after a long day of work and enjoy the EVO action i missed yesterday.
This is the best gaming event ever!!! It's time that ESPN starts to cover this thing. Seth Killiam, James Chen, and Ultra David can all get great jobs as commentators at ESPN!!! Any one of these top-eight players can easily make top-10 plays on Sports-Center. Get ESPN FOR EVO 2014!!!
Glad you said that! Although it's a little less convenient finding the matches to watch, this way you can't tell when the match is going to end. Plus it meant I didn't have to piss about cutting up the video ;)
Thank you so much for this. I wasn't able to stay up late enough to watch it live, and I really didn't feel like sorting through a bunch of individual fight videos, trying to find the right order to watch them.
Thanks so much! I here in Vegas. Was 8 rows back, but I definitely need to watch these again. Infiltration is so smart. I highly recommend people watch "Infiltrating My Heart" on UltraChen TV. UltraDavid knew Infiltration was becoming the best.
1.) Get comfortable with the controls 2.) Get comfortable performing the moves 3.) Get comfortable with making combos, super cancels, etc. 4.) Get comfortable with reading your opponent(think of SF as fast-paced chess) 5.) Get comfortable in the winner's chair ;) Key Tip: you'll get better faster the more you play against human opponents and, most importantly, NEVER GIVE UP!! I hope you enjoy this wonderful series ^_^
You're welcome! I originally only recorded this for myself incase I passed out while watching it, but ended up staying awake for the whole thing anyways. I figured others in or near my timezone might benefit from the upload :)
I always overlooked Infiltration when watching top player videos. I would just watch Tokido, Poongko, Gamerbee. Never really thought much of this guy. Proved me wrong. Props to Infiltration! He earned it.
Very nice of you to upload this and to take the time to bookmark the matches in such a professional manner. Like a lot of other people I had to sleep and missed it!
The beauty of Infiltration is that he plays Akuma so perfectly. He doesn't use zone tactics to win, doesn't want to just use mobility to stay out of attack range. He gets up in your fucking face like "DIE ONE THOUSAND DEATHS."
Same here, friend...I didn't get a wink of sleep and STILL cycled into work today! I hope my boss didn't notice me nodding off at my desk from time to time. Worth it though!
FADC stands of Focus Attack Dash Cancel - the act of cancelling an attack into a Focus Attack, then performing a forward or backward dash out of the Focus Attack.
the thing about SSFIV, when your a beginner its hard to link shit up. but if you practice, it feels fucking amazing to be able to link things up and to use them against other players.
A frame trap is a way of saying "If you do this you'll be able to hit the person if he attacks you" For example, in UMVC3 Vergil has a frame trap with his crouching M, if any of the cast tries to attack when they can after they block it, Vergil can hit crouching H and hit them before they can him. This is called a frame trap.
Man, just wanna say that I couldn't thanks enough for uploading the entire top 8 stream. People want to watch the match, exactly. But we also want to see what happen between them too. So thanks again for the upload dude!
I'm not sure what sorta info you want! I purposefully kept it sparse so assumptions couldn't be made about the results for those that weren't able to watch it live.
infiltration was on his level in all his rounds. he made akuma look like the most dominant character in the game. i get so hyped whenever those 4 kanji appear.
Better way of saying it. You do a move that get blocked, but if the person tries attacking you after the block stun wears off, you can do another move that will always beat out anything they attack with. It forces people to keep blocking certain moves in fear of getting put into a combo. Just type in "frame trap UMVC3" it shows you very clearly what they do. And yes, it's the same for all fighting games.
I haven't played TTT2 yet, but people seem to be really enjoying it right now. I'd wait a little bit to see if anyone finds anything hugely broken in it. At a guess I'd say it's probably not too hard to get into, or at the least, easy to have fun with. SSF4AE is still a good game, and I'm sure you can pick it up for super cheap now. The game itself doesn't do a great job of teaching you how to play, but if you start off with Ryu, it's easy enough to pick up.
I guess he didn't, and hey, neither did I! But now it'll be on TH-cam forever :) Thanks for all the great comments, guys! I've added a link to a similar-styled video for UMvC3, uploaded by FGC2012. The link's at the start of the video, or just check out the video responses section.
Had I the money to get it on release, I would have been happy to have bought it. With the recent drop in HDD prices, I would have replaced the 80GB with something way bigger. My new experiment is to see whether or not the previous PS3 slim hardware will accept a Hitachi 2.5 7200 RPM 1 TB HDD. If it does, it will greatly reduce loading times, I'm sure.
That Adon was a fricken Beast out there. Adon Vs. Cammy was really good match. Akuma's Raging Demon was too much to overcome with those unsafe jaguar kicks. Eve 2012 was awesome except for Daigo choosing Ryu.
Actually I was talking about gamewise. Which is easier for a beginner to hop into. I already ordered the Major League Gaming Arcade Fightstick: Tournament Edition from gamestop
Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I just tried now, but it didn't seem to make any difference :( I really wish they would hot link! If anyone know hows to make TH-cam recognise time stamps greater than 1 hour, just post how in the comments!
Try BB CS EX. The tutorial is a must for anybody who's completely new to modern fighters, it's especially designed to give new players a sense of how fast you need to input moves, which is what you need to learn if you don't want to end up smashing your console out of frustration. It's definitely raised my SF game. Don't know why Capcom with its piles of cash can't put together a measly tutorial...
Yes :) Nice matches earlier, sorry I only played Guy though. He's the only character I really know how to play and have fun with. Apart from Evil Ryu - I love me some of that axe kick combo!
I wish there was some championship where the fallowing characters are banned: akuma ryu jun gouken cammy zangief dhalsim c.viper seth and maybe zangief, adon and sagat. I know, it's almost a half of the characters. But I'd like to see the second half. Those in the list are used too often.
Sergio, can you help me understand why infiltration is able to pull off raging demons so easily when so many others can't ever seem to land it? How is he able to punish whiffs and neutral jumps with it, and even use it as a sort of anti-air?
I'm more of a Mortal Kombat player, but I have to admit Street Fighter is a lot more entertaining to watch because in MK, its like fighting the same person over and over again. Everyone duplicates each other's combos
Nah. If it was then it would as useless as Honda's Ultra 2.. even at point blank range.. the enemy can still just "hold up" and it will never grab.. If you setup the ultra in a way for it to land I think it's fair game.
I don't think Daigo reflexes are falling off, it's just the competition is getting much better nowadays. However, Daigo is still a great player, nevertheless.
He didn't eliminate Daigo, he sent him to loser's bracket. Daigo was already in winner's bracket. It's like a second chance, and Xiao won that's when daigo gets eliminated :)
Infiltration deserved the win... He plowed through everybody I personally was rooting for Poongko but that cammy dude surprised me... I think top 8 was nice, Lots of surprises
Seth and James are honestly the best, most knowledgeable pair of fighting game commentators out there. I love these two and the dynamic they have between them.
3:01 Losers Round 1: Poongko vs Xiaohai
9:49 Losers Round 1: Gamerbee vs Dieminion

30:03 Losers Quarterfinals 1
36:42 Losers Quarterfinals 2
44:54 Losers Semifinal
54:09 Winners Final
1:00:22 Losers Final
1:07:52 Grand Finals
No better commentary team than these two!
Infiltration 2-0d iPeru, Dieminion, Daigo, PR Balrog, and 3-0d Gamerbee. He didn't break a sweat all tournament, talk about dominance.
Fawk up
Actually though. He was untouchable.
Damn I miss these days FGC not the same anymore :(
2011 will always be the best. LATIF, POONGKO🔥
What I like most about this is that Top 8 had, "either different characters represented, six different countries." That's the sign of a great game and a great community.
It was so much more interesting than all the Kens and Lukes we’re seeing today.

Hi i'm from the future. in 2016 it seems your wish finally came true. Guess you called it 2 years in advance ey?
New to SF scene, love sethkillian commentary watched the whole thing :D
Just wanted to thank you for the feed. Downloaded in HD and watching it now. Good work!

Plus it meant I didn't have to piss about cutting up the video ;)
Thank you very much for uploading this
Gracias a todos por esta preciosa competición desde Chile un abrazo infinito a cada uno. Gamers 4ever.
Carpe Diem.
Infiltration did not lose one round, not ONE round, at all & took the gold at this year's evo. that guy is a machine.
I am so glad Seth decided to stick around with EVO. He brings a professionalism to fighting game play by play that NO ONE else does.
Thanks for the HQ upload. I fell asleep during the UMvC3 finals yesterday.
Thank you so much for this. I wasn't able to stay up late enough to watch it live, and I really didn't feel like sorting through a bunch of individual fight videos, trying to find the right order to watch them.
Thanks so much for uploading this!
oh man I miss SF4 and its professional players
thank you so much for uploading this!!! appreciate it a lot!

Woooo thanks! Fell asleep after waiting till 6am - they took so long to start...
Thanks for having editing this vid !
Dude, you're awesome for uploading those matches.Thank you.
The beauty of Infiltration is that he plays Akuma so perfectly. He doesn't use zone tactics to win, doesn't want to just use mobility to stay out of attack range. He gets up in your fucking face like "DIE ONE THOUSAND DEATHS."
Came back to this to remember the good times. Daigo got destroyed
Thanks, someone uploaded each matches separately but the problem is for some reasons, all Gamerbee matches are missing the last round.
Same here, friend...I didn't get a wink of sleep and STILL cycled into work today! I hope my boss didn't notice me nodding off at my desk from time to time.
Worth it though!
FADC stands of Focus Attack Dash Cancel - the act of cancelling an attack into a Focus Attack, then performing a forward or backward dash out of the Focus Attack.
cheers for taking the time to do this. you are a legend!

Thanks for the upload. I wasn't able to catch top 8 because of work in the following morning.
No spoilers, bro. Having the video like this is much better. Especially since you added links in the vid.
Such a great upload! You're a true hero sir!
Man, infiltration was on point with his demons. Infiltration, the demon, topples the beast! Would love to see these two play again!
Gamerbee vs. Xiao -- amazing stuff! Love the commentary too.
Congrats to all the winners of EVO 2012 and to the guys who didn't take home the title of Grand Champion good luck next year!
I'm not sure what sorta info you want! I purposefully kept it sparse so assumptions couldn't be made about the results for those that weren't able to watch it live.

yesterday i had to sleep so i was not able to watch it ! :(
PR Balrog kept smiling after he lost but.. I know he was dying in the inside.
thank you so much i couldn't stay up for it either
Oh god, the Star Wars reference during PR Balrog and Human Bomb's match...
After that, it just impacted on the surface Dx
I guess he didn't, and hey, neither did I! But now it'll be on TH-cam forever :)
Thanks for all the great comments, guys! I've added a link to a similar-styled video for UMvC3, uploaded by FGC2012. The link's at the start of the video, or just check out the video responses section.
Thanks for upload! It's a lot better when it's not in parts...
Sorry, could you clarify? I don't know if you're talking about how I captured the stream or something else.
That Adon was a fricken Beast out there. Adon Vs. Cammy was really good match. Akuma's Raging Demon was too much to overcome with those unsafe jaguar kicks. Eve 2012 was awesome except for Daigo choosing Ryu.

best players of the world! thnx 4 uploading this via
Yes :) Nice matches earlier, sorry I only played Guy though. He's the only character I really know how to play and have fun with. Apart from Evil Ryu - I love me some of that axe kick combo!
Few have lived to see Daigo show emotion...
the way daigo left is like he had to hurry to the nearest corner and cry it out real quick
0:58:09
Holy hell, that was absolutely awesome!
HI im brand new to fighting games. Should I get street fighter iv arcade edition or tekken tag tournament 2
I wish there was some championship where the fallowing characters are banned:
akuma
ryu
jun
gouken
cammy
zangief
dhalsim
c.viper
seth
and maybe zangief, adon and sagat.
I know, it's almost a half of the characters. But I'd like to see the second half. Those in the list are used too often.
This was awesome down to the last second ;)
Sergio, can you help me understand why infiltration is able to pull off raging demons so easily when so many others can't ever seem to land it? How is he able to punish whiffs and neutral jumps with it, and even use it as a sort of anti-air?
depends on wether you like Olympics or video games. I'm all for Evo.
If you setup the ultra in a way for it to land I think it's fair game.
yes you can. usually id assume if its a controller they are using a fight pad, but some players use dualshocks
"All hail our Korean overlords..." I loved that XD And they do have a crap ton of great players!
Omg thank you so much for uploading this! I completely missed it :(. By any chance do you have any plans to upload umvc3 or kofxIII finals?
That match with Cammy and Adon. just wow. nerve wrecking. Great match
KOF was hype. This final match was just... I'm glad I didn't stay up all night to watch it
infiltration sooooo strong! great tournament
thanks for uploading
Thank you very much for this!!
Nope, sorry! I only captured the SSF4AE stuff. I'm sure the UMvC3 stuff has been uploaded by other users - that game is too hype to be ignored! :)
you dont have problem pulling off combos on a dpad?? How do I practice combos. I can't get hits higher than two, I want to be able to juggle people.
Ikr? He's lost his touch..
i would call it an art of cancelling because of all the creative ways to use it
Good Street Fighter Tournament Entertainment 😛
Yup - as I said, I tried that but it didn't work. It's not working in the comments either, as you can see!
dude, you're awesome
This is the first tournament i've ever watched, and i'm screaming at the screen. this game is so fucking intense.
of course, its just a matter of preference
thanks for uploading!
I don't think Daigo reflexes are falling off, it's just the competition is getting much better nowadays. However, Daigo is still a great player, nevertheless.
He didn't eliminate Daigo, he sent him to loser's bracket. Daigo was already in winner's bracket. It's like a second chance, and Xiao won that's when daigo gets eliminated :)
really? how can we access the recorded matches on twitch cuz i only saw it live?
I know right~? Daigo's still Daigo no matter what~ we all know who he is by now...while all these other guys...have yet to be named
That was amazing!!!
these were some awesome matches!
what's the difference between a clean and dirty throw? And cross under?
Infiltration deserved the win... He plowed through everybody
I personally was rooting for Poongko but that cammy dude surprised me... I think top 8 was nice, Lots of surprises
Thank you very much for the video!!!!
Could you list the last two matches as
60:24
67:55
They don't seem to link properly when listed as you have them now.
