Chris G had not picked up Vergil here yet and Champ still wasn't as good as he became later on even though he won. Also because people had not yet realized how crazy zero was until 2013, so even though this top 8 had more character variety, in 2013 is when I believe we got to see the game being played at the highest level
i think its good. it's nice to see someone like she hulk being played bc i see nova all the time. it gets boring seeing the same character over and over again.
maybe i'm being a bit judgemental, but DiosX strikes me as the kind of guy who puts his life into the FGC and if one little comment can turn that against him, it can be devastating. this game is a hobby to most, but a passion to some. champ's actions was straight up bullying
Frutsy may have done well with MODOK at EVO but it was basic at best. MODOK has much more potential than what he did, but hell, he did good and got to top 8 EVO with this strategy anyways. Mad props for making it to top 8 EVO with the less used characters though.

Yipes is awesome even when he's not playing "Oh! What a Whrilwind! Classic Marvel 2 finish!" xD And i think ChrisG as always playing very smart. Lots of epic moments here. Frutsy with dat MODOK and Infrit was great too with Nova. And i admire Philipino, i like when he uses Phoenix, stuck with her despite the nerfs.
And just because it's Justin Wong doesn't mean he never derps it out in this game. He only made top 8 because of 1. His super solid fundamentals and 2. Plenty if braindead play. It's understandable, since he was focusing more on AE.
It really isn't nearly as bad. At least he actually knows his combos, has good tech, good gameplan, great combos, unlike Chris G whose combos are mostly basic BnBs.
I love the matches best man win... It's not about being cheezy on the playstyle is about what works and MODOK showed you how to do it and the finals showed you there are a lot of players out there with different play styles and how to beat them There is no such thing as "hey come face me head on" they is just idiotic if you can win from a safe place why not win from there. Don't say Fchamp was bitching mode on the last part it's his way of countering his opponents team. :p
People just hate Champ because of the characters he used. He did have a reputation for being a dick a while ago, but he doesn't really act like that anymore. He's just a guy that likes to be a heel.
Well, try achieving what he did with one of the hardest chars to use in the game (also one that's not as highly ranked in the tiers) and then you can come and say Frutsy is a loser. As weird as this may sound, trolling is a valid way to play, and Frutsy knew how to do it.
