My 19 Murano is about to hit 80,000 miles. Not a single unexpected trip to the dealership. Heck not even a single recall. I like the port injection for long term reliability. No direct injection. No cylinder deactivation or annoying start/stop. I change the transmission fluid every 35-40K.
Yes, the CVT fluid needs to be changed out regularly. The CVT is my biggest worry on my Murano and I will maintain it properly. The V6 is so much better than a turbo 4 but at least it gets a 9 speed transmission now
I have the 2012 second generation murano AWD V6 .still runs smoothly and the CVT work good on it. 153000 miles. I haven't turned it up yet. I love the way it handles with the 260hp V6. 😊.
@@fredlevinssr3021 same here . i have the 2019 sv as well . Been a good one so far, no issues really. But the new one def looks better on the inside lol. Still have to grow on me on the outside
I like the new 9 speed transmission vs the CVT, however, what's the advantage of a turbo 2.0 L four cylinder if it makes the same mpg as the 3.5 L V6? Im sure the higher torque with the 2.0 L turbo comes at a higher rpm vs the 3.5 V6. Again...why go with a 2.0 L 4 cyl if the mpg is not any better?
The 2025 Nissan Murana is now a throwaway Car as the replacement cost is$16500 for a new engine. The 2024 murano cvt transmission replacement is around $4000.
I have a 2016 Platinum and love it. Had no issues and it has been great on the highway. Since the 2024 looks more like what I have ...if I decided to uograde it would be the 2025.
I have the 2023 SV, and I can't leave my 3.5L v6 for a 4 cyl. Turbo. So far I'm STILL in love with my 2023. I find the 23 and older sexier looking than the 2025, plus I don't like 21 inch wheels which obviously ride rougher on pot hole roads and bumps.
I've Murano model of 2017. New model , as for me more modern and trends but old model have own advantages (as 3.5 l engine, cvt -transmission) , and buttons control car options. If have need adjust temperature or play music, you could do this in one act. In new, I guess you would run in menu led-display. And when you drive the car, absolutely complicated intuitively find what you want in display.
The brand new Marano is leaves ahead of any of the previous generations. Obviously, you don’t value luxury, technology, Marano is better. I just ordered a platinum unfortunately, they can’t guarantee that I’ll get the exact color combinations I want which really sucks.
And by that do you mean that there were 6 reports of engine issues with no accompanying context at a time when there was an estimated half a million KR engines on the road. I’m not saying that other owners haven’t had issues, but 6 reports caused an investigation which Nissan responded to by saying they would improve and reinforce their KR engines. That’s hardly an issue in my opinion and I think there are much greater issues in the auto world than that. Look no further than Toyota if you want to look into engine issues.
Never liked the exterior design of the Murano, especially the back. This new one is somewhat of an improvement. I guess the luxury and gadgets give it more of an appeal. But they ruined it with the price.
The 2025 is not more powerful. 2024 is 260 HP. 2025 is 240 HP. I wish it had a 6 cylinder. I had a bad experience with turbo engines, but that was 40 years ago. The turbo lag was awful. Not a fan, but I love the look of the 2025.
The old one has better and more daring styling. The new one is bland. Was hoping for better. And why oh why do we get a 4 cylinder turbo with no better gas mileage than the V6 anyway. The only saving grace is the interior styling and upgraded tech
They should have made the 2025 a huge improvement in MPG and offered a hybrid model. I like everything about the 2025, except the front end, the front end is hella fugly! The rear, interior is very infiniti like, but the front is this weird bug looking ugly alien creature looking, blah. Fix that front end, then we can talk!
I would love the 2025 top of the line car for the lease and always have a dependable and fun car to drive to take me to my doctor's appointment,s on time and soI don't half to depend on other people to get me to all of my doctor's appointments on time is a joke because they don't care if you get there or not...
Neither, shoot dealerships won’t discount the 2024 model years all over 40 grand, new version doesn’t look like that much of an improvement also the loss of v6 and the turbo 4 is less powerful, also they are saying the interior space is actually a little less than the Rogue, it’s a shame too Nissans reliability with engines has gone down hill, the interior is a copy cat Ayria electric style, doesn’t get its own style this is a Hard PASS for me
Sorry, Nissan, but giving us a 2L turbo just so you can keep the same MPG numbers is a d*ck move. EVERY Murano owner loves the V6, and I'm sure we would all take the 9 speed auto with the V6 even if it dropped MPG by 1 or 2. We don't buy a Murano because we're picky on mileage. A hybrid would have been a better choice, IMO. Add the fact that you took away the physical buttons and encased the touch surfaces in gloss black, and it's a hard pass from this 2020 owner. And you better believe they're gonna jack up the price so they can recoup the new design costs.
Let's see: looks like a larger Nissan Kicks with a wimpy engine replacement. This video extolling how great the new engine is can't be serious! Get back to me when they add an engine with at least 300 hp/300 torque. This new model, hard pass.
The LED shape is similar, but to be fair Hyundai has always borrowed from other companies as well. Think of the Nissan Juke placing the headlights in the middle of the bumper with the DRLs on top, which is now a design feature on all Hyundai vehicles.
Wow that 2024 Murano's headlight design is ugly ass hell! Also the 2024 has a CVT. The 2025 doesn't have a CVT is has a 9 speed regular automatic transmission and looks 100X better than the 2024 👍.

I want the V6 and the 9 speed…. Thought that’s what the 2025 would have. So disappointed.
Nice interior though.
I have a 2018 Platinum. I really like the 3.5L V-6. I'll stick with what I have.

I like the new design and interior of the 2025 model but not too excited about the engine. A hybrid would have been the right choice in 2025.
Yeah idk why they don’t do hybrids a phev would have been perfect
I love my 2017 Nissan Murano. I wouldn’t change anything❤
I have a 2017, but I like both of them

Exterior-wise, the old model looks far better than the new design. Interior-wise, the opposite is true, IMO.
I'll get the 2025 version once the recalls are done
The 3rd gen is still better. The 4th gen is such a disappointment

@@joegraziadei7895love the nissan “marano” ❤️
Seems like you get a less reliable engine and a hi tech radio in the new car. Some would say that the older model is actually nicer inside.
The 2liter 4 cyl (VC) has a potential class action suit because of stalling and engine self destruction.
