I had one, honestly they are nice cars, but the transmission is absolute trash! If Nissan would fix that with the ZF transmission like they did on the new Pathfinder it would be an absolute hit.
I bought the new pathfinder instead of the Rogue, it has been okay so far, couple downsides: it eats trough brakes and tires, I’ve drove 72,000 miles in 3 years and so far is I had to replace the rotors and pads 3 times and the tires twice, also the AC system has been a constant problem, Nissan fixed it multiple times under warranty, but the issue kept returning, they replaced multiple parts of the AC system, its a still ongoing issue! luckily I’ve got the extended warranty with the car when I bought it brand new, having that said, I’ve seen the prices on these new parts that they had too use and it’s a ridiculous amount of money so if I didn’t have the extended warranty it would have been a lot of money out of MY pocket! So do I like the car? Yes, it honestly drives great! It’s a very smooth and comfortable ride, the car handles decent in corners for a suv, the engine is butter smooth and has plenty of horsepower to overtake somebody on the highway. Would I buy another Nissan after this one? No, It’s good but not as good as the other Japanse car brands.
We just bought a 2025 Rock Creek edition in Boulder Gray Pearl several days ago. This color reminds my wife on the Brooklyn Grey BMW X3 M50. My first impression is its feels a little quicker than our previous rogue. Really have to watch your speed because it doesn't feel like its going as fast as you think your going. The steering is way more responsive compared to previous Rogues. I like the buttons and analog gauges because its less to fail compared to a digital screen. On the gauge cluster it shows the oil life expectancy at 8,000miles. I do not recommend running it this long for oil change intervals especially since it has a turbo. I would suggest no more than 5,000 tops but 3,500-4,000 miles ideal. Also change the CVT fluid every 30-35K not every 60K and it should be fine. We bought a factory extended bumper to bumper warranty through Nissan 8 years 100K because I do not trust this 3cyl turbo and with all the new technology in these car I wanted peace of mind for my wife. The cabin air filter is much easier to change out located in the glove box compared to being underneath the dash on previous model. We traded in a 2015 Rogue SV premium package with 117K MSRP $29,400 Trade in value $5,250. It was a great car for my wife. Hopefully this Rock Creek Edition Rogue will last a long time.
I noticed that Nissan changed the steering wheel on the 2025’s, It kinda had an octagon shaped on the center of the steering wheel but on 2024’s was just round.
I bought a 2018 Rogue SV sold it and bought the 2022 Rogue SL loved the engine hated the CVT, sold it and bought a 2024 Mazda CX-5 Signature, great Turbo and standard trans, Nissan needs to follow suit like with the Murano
Soo.., the functional aspect of the 'off-road' pkg is tires & a roof rack? The vehicle looks good... I watched another channels review which included some very mild off-roading/ dirt-roading. It appeared to do well.., for what it is. Nice knowledgeable thorough review guys.
I have a 2023 rogue SV. Drives nice enough good mileage, BUT it does have a variable compression complicated engine and the CVT, not known for reliability. That's why I lease, it will last 3 years, not worried.
@@LicPlate8VPL158I work at a Nissan dealer. Been replacing long blocks on them since they came out two years ago. 70% of them are before they reach the first factory recommended maintenance mileage.
17:55 This is actually not true, if you give it gentle throttle it'll hold RPMs. In my 2 years experience, the transmission won't shift if RPMs are at or below 2,500rpm, which with normal gentle acceleration it'll just hold 2300 rpm or so all the way to your highway speed. If you give it more gas, then it'll start revving and fake shifting instead.
Everyone is a critic. Know the facts. This trans is NOT the horrible Renault crap box. They are gone. This is a great JATCO unit. It provides the great mpg. The engine is state of the art. This is an amazing drive train. I own 2.
The Nissan Rogue is a popular SUV that's known for its comfort, safety features, and reliability. It's a great choice for people who want a versatile and spacious vehicle for their everyday adventures.
Not true. Nissan Rogue is small and not very big for family hauling. Vehicles such as the Honda CR-V and Mitsubishi Outlander have more space, reliability and effiency. They both have a hybrid option which beats the rogue.
@@GarlandTexasSpotter2024Mitsubishi Outlander and Nissan Rogue literally share parts in fact, the Outlander at least the current generation is a literal Nissan Rogue parts bin SUV.
It’s just a logo appearance package slapped on a Rogue SV, it doesn’t make it more rugged. Just save some money and buy the Rogue SV and slap some all-terrain tires on it. You’ll save a couple thousand bucks.
@@BoopSnootThe MPG on this is a total crock, real-world fuel economy has been posted all over the internet in multiple comparisons. It doesn't get better fuel economy than pretty much any of its competition. And it's not quicker either.
@@BoopSnoot My Rav4 Adventure does that, and more reliable. Doesn't have a turbo or a CVT. Sure, it's boring but I can rely on it. Nissan needs to have better quality. I've owned Nissans in the past but their quality has gone down hill since then.
@@victreebel170 As an actual owner of a '23 Rogue S, my lifetime fuel economy (mixed obviously) over 19.5K miles is 32.7mpg per the built in display (not measured). This is close to the advertised 33mpg mixed economy and uses 87 octane. Our AWD Mercedes GLA uses 93 octane and advertises 27mpg combined despite being smaller than the Rogue, and our lifetime economy over 37K miles is showing 25.1mpg. Small sample size, but very happy so far.
@@Hschlick84 What quality issues? Granted ours is a '23 and we've only owned it 2 years now (bought in 22), but only issue we've had so far is disappointingly common, the volume button on the steering wheel gets stuck in the down position. Nissan had to replace it, very disappointed that happened so soon, but otherwise no quality issues so far.
Generally the off road spec has a lot of options .. Nissan, for whatever reason, offers no prion on this so you basically get the garbage screen, no sun roof and no platinum options. Makes zero cents.
I wish self-driving technology would go away it's not a safe technology no matter how long they try to polish it use that time & money on more important improvements that's my opinion to each their own though
@Metalpazallteway Sure...but the self-driving technology is just dumb & will never be safe just a waste of time they need to put all that time & money into more practical safer technology
I hate the screen on the Rogue take a look at the Equinox Activ. Much better screen and shifter. It has an 8 speed automatic with the AWD configuration. It also has a better looking interior and exterior. These orange accents on the black is really gaudy and the roof rack is hideous. I'm disappointed in Nissan.
My parents rented one in July they did not like how it handled and the shifter we can agree to disagree but we all like the Santa Fe better it’s a 2022
Nissan has one of the worst decision makers. Instead of wasting money to develop some cosmetically enhanced version of their outgoing Rogue, they supposed to safe every penny to develop better engine, hybrid preferably, and consider seriously replacing their CVT (their infamous box of trash)

Only way I'd improve this rock creek is to give it the 12" from the SL/Platinum, and a black headliner.
I had one, honestly they are nice cars, but the transmission is absolute trash! If Nissan would fix that with the ZF transmission like they did on the new Pathfinder it would be an absolute hit.
