    Thanks, guys. You inspired me to take advantage of the recent good weather here in Virginia and paint correct my 2014 Silverado using TW1&done. I used a medium-cut Hexlogic pad, 50-50 microfiber cutting pad with an inexpensive DA polisher. I followed up with some Griot's Garage wax applicator red pads and the results were stunning. No dust, no sour smell, just a deep base coat (Tungsten Metallic) shine. Following up with a "glass bottle" ceramic coating this weekend to show off that newfound metal flake. Kudos guys. You got me off my arse and that's no mean feat on a Sunday.

    I used the One and Done yesterday on my car; using the 50/50 microfiber pad first (4 dots on the pad) and then used the black foam pad (4 dots on the pad). I tapped the pad over the area to be done, started the machine out at a 1 speed (using a Porter Cable machine) and then switched to 4 speed in a cross hatch; doing this way with the 50/50 pad. Then when using the black foam pad, I also tapped the pad over the area, started out with a 1 speed to spread, then changed to a 3 speed in a cross hatch. I noticed that with each pad and application, it was harder and longer to remove the compound; I had to use all three microfiber towels; and it wasn’t very translucent. What did I do wrong?

      @PureOctaneGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Paul. It sounds like you might have too much product built up on the pad. Not sure of course, since we aren’t there, HaHa! Everything you’re doing sounds correct. Let us know if you figure it out. Thanks for watching!

    Want to finish with Ceramic for UV. Can Pro 1 & Done be topped or should a different process be used to have the UV of Ceramic? Also, no machine; by hand - any tips?

    That's not a microfiber cutting pad fellas, they sent you a 50/50 pad. Which is only half microfiber, so it's still a step below a cutting microfiber. Nice video keep them coming!

      It’s a buff and shine uro fibre 50/50 microfibre pad, uses 2 types of microfibre fibres so it can cut and finish , it is a microfibre pad

    Is this product a temporary remover of scratches and they come back eventually? Also can you use a micro cloth and do it by hand

    • @PureOctaneGarage
      @PureOctaneGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Lisa. This Turtle Wax product will actually cut and correct. No fillers here. This note is directly from Turtle Wax: "Proprietary blend of high-quality precision platelet abrasives, removes up to 1000 grit paint imperfections for heavy-duty surface restoration"
      You can use this by hand or machine, the correcting ability will be much less by hand though. Thanks for watching!

    I know it’s hard but if I want to use the one and done by hand what kind of pad should I use? Medium heavy cutting pad?

    • @PureOctaneGarage
      @PureOctaneGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the question 6atlantis. By hand, you are right on with a medium density pad. We would have a lighter dense pad (usually more for polishing/not cutting) on hand as well, depending on your paint.

    Quick question for this product there is no need to use an ipa after polishing/compounding correct?

    • @PureOctaneGarage
      @PureOctaneGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. There is no mention in the directions of an ipa wipe before moving onto your Last Step Protection, but are in the habit of always performing an ipa wipedown just to make sure we got every last bit of compound/polish off the paint. Thanks for watching!

    Non foam pads like the uro fibre or wool or microfibre pads need to be primed , Need to cover all the fibres with polish
