I just got kicked off of a tennis court yesterday by an old couple who told me I was ruining the courts! I showed them my clear wheels but they still insisted I leave! 48 year old mother of three and getting kicked out of places 🤣

I agree 100%!!! I usually always learn things way better from beginners bc I feel like they're on the same brain wavelength as me and the advanced people are too advanced to know what's going on in my confused beginner brain 😭

Your turning instructions are great, you literally just pick a foot to do all the work and you’ll turn the direction of the foot that’s doing the least work

I went to a birthday party at a skating rink, first time
Here's a list of things I did wrong :)
- Do the walk thing
- stand straight
- try skating straight up
- Wrong size for rentals
- actually push a kid
- played Minecraft most of the time
lol I am trying I am getting skates tomorrow though while skating I kept falling and I could barely walk after the party for 4 days

Btw if you wanna turn you have to like in the beggining you push and glide so you push and go to the other side then the other side and you turn long story short-
If you were turning left you would push with you left and then switch and boom you turned

If u had a little bit confused about the turning, she lifts up her left skate slightly and puts her weight on the other foot pushing herself to go left and it’s the same going to the right side. I’m not sure if this is correct but I think this is what she meant.

hey!! so for outdoor skating its the wheel that matters! the more gummy the wheel the smoother you will skate outside, there's charts online that show you what type of wheels you should get :)

You don’t have to glide to move forward. It’s not really the movement it’s the position of the toe. You can penguin walk with your feet in v position and move forward, but if your toes are pointed forward instead of out, you won’t go anywhere. Penguin walking is actually how they usually teach you at skating rinks I think. I really enjoyed watching.

When using the toe stop, try angling your toe to the side a little bit. It should be smoother
