Your prothesis is super cool. I recently helped out a customer at the retail store I work at who is currently saving up for a similar prothesis. Although they don't have a full foot on their wonky leg(their name for their smaller/shorter leg), they have enough of one that a standard below the knee prothesis wouldn't work well. I can't wait to show them your videos when I see them next! I'd love to see a video just about your prosthesis if you feel comfortable sharing!
It makes me so angry to read that Emma 😤 your friend shouldn’t have to save to get something necessary for her health. Thank goodness for the NHS we have here in the UK. Do you know how many people went bankrupt because of medical bills? Zero. It’s not perfect, of course but we don’t see people with huge tumours or medical conditions they can’t afford to fix or have treatment for. On an ordinary month I get 8 prescriptions, the price for one is around £10, no matter the actual price, if that item is cheaper to buy from the shelf they will tell you in the pharmacy. But…you can get a pre payment card where you pay around £10 and you can get as many prescriptions as you need. I now get them free because I have a low thyroid. Elderly, unemployed and pregnant women get them free too. In 2019 I had what would have been thousands of dollar with of tears and treatment for nothing including brain & spine scans. The system there is a large reason I didn’t move there with my 🇺🇸ex hubby. Children get free prescriptions, dental treatment and glasses etc.

Thank you for the educational video. I hadn’t known that October was dorfism awareness month. If you’re open to explaining I’d be curious to know how your condition cause hearing and vision loss. I wasn’t aware that dwarfism could do that.
Hi, i am from The Netherlands and also have Conradi Hünermann syndrome. This syndrome is actually a metabolic disease and dwarfism is more of a symptom than a diagnosis on its own. Wonen have 2 x-chromosome 1 healthy and 1 sick chromosome and depending on how many sick x-chromosome you got, in Cassidy’s case from her Mother and in mine case from a spontaneous mutation you are seriously or less serieus affected. It often gets worse per generation with the hereditary version, that clearly wasn’t the case with Cassidy. Bad luck, Shell we say. Mother has almost no complaints and Cassidy is quite affected. No Conradi Hünermann patient is the same because of this. Dwarfism is often the most hindering disability together with the defomity of the back and any other limbs. In my case. I am 130 cm tall and have never been able to walk properly and I have been using an electric wheelchair since young adulthood. I am blind in my left eye and I see only 5% on the right. Due to the kyphosis scoliosis, my lungs have little space and for +/- 10 years I have also been ventilated. During the day with a pipe that I can use as needed. At night I use a nose mask.
I am smaller than average and having a mailbox not higher than head level was something I really considered when looking for an apartment to rent. Having mail drop on my head wasn't something I was willing to put up with on a regular basis if avoidable.
No idea there could be a difference in limb lenght until I saw your shorts. I had to do a double take when I saw a leg with two feer, and at first I just thought you have a really weird shoe or something lol. Pretty neat that a prosthetic like that exists. I guess one question would be: How did you get your mobility aids and was it easy/hard to get them? I'm sorry if I'm being invasive. Anyway, cool video and I glad you're taking the time to talk about this stuff online
Awesome video! I didn't know there were so many types! Here are my questions: What are your hobbies and how does your dwarfism affect them? Is there a dwarfism community? If so what is it like? Do you have special events? What are the biggest misconceptions about dwarfism?
Have you heard of the TH-cam channel special books by special kids? This was a former special needs teacher who interviews people with different disabilities and mental disorders, etc.
Thank you for the education. Of all the visible differences you have, it seems to me that ichthyosis would be the most off-putting to people who see you out and about. In the several videos I have watched, I never saw any evidence of unusual skin texture; in, fact, I have admired what I thought was flawless skin. I don't know if that is because you have managed it so well or caught a bit of a break in that department, but you seem to rock it all.
Do you have hand and wrist problems? And so any tips to releavie such pains. I have artritis in my wrist and struggle with daily pain. Sorry if things are spelled wrong I also have dyslexia
thanks for sharing!!! its not your job to educate others but you do and that’s cool! i saw some shorts and was trying to figure out what prosthetic you had, glad i was able to find this :))
Hi new subber too and like I love your vids your so inspiring and pretty and I would love to hear more on your life style and how you live when did you really find out when you had your disability not to be rude but any other words do you suggest I use instead of disabled and etc.
i just found your channel and i have no words. i have two rare diseases and both are very rare. i'm 30 now ans i've been dealing wirh bone and eye issue since i was 6. until today i haven't been able to accept myself and every single day i wonder why did i have to be born like this. even though we don't have the same diagnosis i am so glad you're out there living.
Thank you so much for educating people. I'm 45 and I have idiopathic scoliosis which presents itself in the form of a double major (S shaped) curvature along with axial spinal rotation. As a result I also have restrictive lung disease and I'm winded and out of breath after going up a flight of stairs. Good work with your videos!!
Hey Cassidy! Hope you see this.. I recently seen a guy who i think has kinda similar to what you have with your right leg he had inches added to his shoe so they basically help you stand up balanced like the one you use now i was just suggesting you should try that out! I really don’t know how though to like find how to do that tho but nothing like a little research would help..😂Anyways I just wanted to that and say that you’re so funny especially the bloopers! Much love! ❤️

Your voice is so calming, also the way you explain everything, just lovely!!
Dear Cassidy, I have tears in my eye. Your are a fucking super hero! All the best to you from Germany!

I didn’t know either that October was dwarfism awareness month because I only know it as Down’s syndrome awareness month. 👍🏻

Thank you for educating me
THANK YOU FOR THE EDUCATIONAL VIDEO ❤❤❤ I APPRECIATE IT
Awesome video! I didn't know there were so many types!
Here are my questions:
What are your hobbies and how does your dwarfism affect them?
Is there a dwarfism community? If so what is it like? Do you have special events?
What are the biggest misconceptions about dwarfism?
New subscriber.. but I just want to thank you for sharing your story!
Great explanation
I would love to hear specific details about how champ helps you! what are somw specific tasks/services he does that help you?
Have you heard of the TH-cam channel special books by special kids? This was a former special needs teacher who interviews people with different disabilities and mental disorders, etc.
How does your Ichthyosis affect you? I’ve heard it affects people differently

Is there like pros and cons about your disability if so could you make a video about if you want
I have Cerebral palsy! Nice to meet you my name is Cece
Do you have hand and wrist problems? And so any tips to releavie such pains. I have artritis in my wrist and struggle with daily pain. Sorry if things are spelled wrong I also have dyslexia
i got a question, is it okay to ask to pet a service dog
No. It has a job to do (pay attention to its owner) and being petted distracts it from its owner. It could miss something important
could you not get a shorter mail box? i know the one i have is only 2 feet above the ground.
If it’s easier for her let her be it’s not affecting you and the mail people just gotta bend down a little like bruv
@@W1sp3y_ThE_W0lf_D0g did you read my comment properly?
Could you please caption your video?
You could do that in the settings of the video you are watching in the top right corner-also a shortcut icon “CC”- on / off.
@@victoriagarcia2318 Those are auto-generated captions, which are often inaccurate and hard to follow
I’ve never seen a prosthesis like your foot-over-foot one. It’s very cool. Didn’t realize they were a thing.
thanks for sharing!!! its not your job to educate others but you do and that’s cool! i saw some shorts and was trying to figure out what prosthetic you had, glad i was able to find this :))
You’re a very charismatic speaker! I’m envious
