Really enjoy the down to earth, simple and practical way that you present your content.
This review has highlighted (pun) that hunting at night using NV and without having dogs is what we need to up our success.
Some content for the average hunter (primarily meat for the family and some pest control) using standard equipment/gear that's reasonably affordable is what we learn from the most at the moment.

They seem to be much bolder, almost ignorant like they have nothing to fear. This is usually their mistake. Thanks and good luck. 👍

As a pest controller I've been weighing up on the pros and cons of thermal vs night vision.
Currently working on alot of lifestyle blocks and after your review I'm really considering going night vision as identifying the target is absolute paramount.

Thanks for watching. Yes it’s an interesting debate as they both have pros and cons. I have found thermal to be great but it can be tricky if it’s summer and everything is emitting heat until 2am ( rocks etc). The night vision doesn’t have this problem. However both are pretty awesome technology. 👍👍

Roger here from Marlborough NZ. I have been watching your long range videos closely to learn about the skills required to make consistent kills. I have started hunting a property that has had major feral pig problems, losing up to 50% of new born lambs and think both long range and night vision combined will make a difference. I would love to see some shorter videos on the gear you use and how to look after it to go along with the hunting videos. Keep up the good content.
Hi, yes it seems to be a common problem especially here in Marlborough. We have also had a bad lambing because of pigs this year. Long range and NV or thermal certainly is a great combination to control numbers. I’m currently working on some how too videos at the moment. Just trying to find the balance of covering the details without overdoing the technical stuff. Not easy when it comes to long range ha. Really appreciate the feedback and your support.👍👍

I enjoyed the video. Very informative on the NV100. I was looking to purchase one and came across your video. I heard someone else say the format of the video is difficult to change over to mov.or mp3. Did u have same issue. Thanks!
Hi, yes they do have a different format.
You have to convert from .TS to MP4. I used VLC to convert which is free to download. Some devices may automatically be able to convert. It’s not to hard to do, just takes a little longer. I have contacted OneLeaf about this and they said the would look at different format options in the future. Definitely not a deal breaker for me but something to be aware of. Cheers.

Max here from nz lower North Island (Levin). I’ve loved watching your long range videos and understanding how you go about it all. I’ve gone from only being comfortable shooting animals out to 100yards to being very comfortable shooting out to 600 yards it’s been a great learning process and loved every minute, very satisfying to drop an animal at long range!
My favourite video of yours was when you dropped those two massive boars I’ve watched that video many times.

I’ve been using a Remington 700 LR in 300 win mag with muzzle break ect but have been finding it bloody heavy to carry around the hills, so I’ve just spent the life savings and bought a sako finnlight 2 in 300wm and have just started setting that up so hopefully she’s a straight shooter.
We don’t get the massive pigs these ways like you’ve got down there! Might have to do the guided hunt with you at some point! I’ll start saving the pennys!

Thanks for the video I have watched alot of videos on this scope. Your video had both technical and action in use. Still not sure if the range will be good for longer shots but can put on a 223 that I need to replace scope on any way and have a dialabel scope so now I want one really bad. Again thanks for the info. I live in ft.worth are of Texas the wild hogs are about to take over the area and need night vision very bad

@@controlledrecoil-nzhunting Its s great cartridge from gophers to coyotes. Its nice when i use it around farm yards. Its quite enuff it does not spook the livestock.

@@controlledrecoil-nzhunting suppressor’s are illegal in canada. I shoot 32 gr for gophers and 40gr projectiles for coyotes. The 204 dosnt carry the repercussion that most calibers do. Dont get me wrong its does have a pop but 20cal loud lol

Heaps of reviews I’ve watched on various rifles etc leave me with nothing more than knowledge that the reviewer loves the sound of his own voice and is obviously compensating for something??
Have mentioned to u before re how much I like the fact that u to great effect use rifles etc that the average joe can afford and don’t flaunt mega expensive guns and equipment and spout continuous make an model numbers like some other channels do??
I’ve hunted mostly Cape York for over 40 yrs for feral pigs so much prefer ur pig vids but also now that I’ve moved to more southern regions in Qld am getting into the deer hunting scene too. Mostly have used my Winchester 30/30 but also for longer range shooting have a scoped sporterised 303 which I love and load my own ammo for both👍
Anyway again well done in the vid I think ur down to earth way u interact in ur vids will make ur channel very popular quite quickly as im sure I’m not the only one who is sick of poser presenters ah??
