    You probably won’t answer my comment.
    I think that was pretty cool. 1978 Chevy K5 at idle not in motion. it does not like turning to the right would the ball joints cause that.
    Great job on your video. It was self explanatory. You walked right through it.

      Hey there, don’t be silly, of course I will answer your question. Yes the ball joints can cause this problem but steering box could cause it too. The best way to figure out which is the problem, is to disconnect the drag link and tie rods from each side and hand steer at each position one at a time. The culprit will be obvious. Everything should move easily side to side. I hope this helps, good luck my friend

      I’m so glad that you found this helpful. I always hope that videos like this can help others see, that they can do it themselves. Suburbans are great rides. Thank you for your support. Enjoy the ride my friend.

    It’s probably the second time I’ve watched your video now that I think of it. I have not changed anything on the passenger side of my 78 square body blazer that’s the purpose of all this. I can’t steer it to the right, but I can steer it to the left, thanks thanks. I’ll check it out.

      Hey be sure and disconnect one end of your drag link and one of the tie rod ends. That way you can check your ball joints and steering box to see which one is the problem child. Best of luck

      I agree with you my friend. Sometimes you just get it right the first time, and I think Chevy hit the mark first try.

    I was not aware of that adjustment sleeve on the upper ball joint! Or am I wrong? I've never replaced any of the ball joints on my 78 GMC.

    • @Farm10customs
      @Farm10customs  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Unless you were tearing into it, you wouldn’t typically see that adjustment sleeve on the Dana44 until you remove the upper nut. I’m pretty sure the 10 bolt front end is the same set up. It’s not something that you would have to make adjustments on, it’s just to make sure the load is right on the ball joints tapered shaft. I hope this helps you my friend. Oh and I hope that you don’t have to tear into it. Happy trails!!

      Thank you. This sweet old pickup is a 1973 Chevy Cheyenne, K20 and Those hubs are some old school Selectro style hubs from Mile Marker. I don’t know how strong these hubs are but I’m going to find out. You really don’t see them around anymore I think they’re cool. Thanks for asking.

    Did you build your own drop arm steering set up or is that a kit looks better than having that corkscrew steering arm

      Hey there. Thanks for reaching out to us. This is definitely a kit, Here are links to a couple videos about this setup. This first one is what you are referring to. th-cam.com/video/MB4HoLJzIbQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qUpEUdtEO4_7fhzb and the second one is an updated version with the complete kit. th-cam.com/video/q2LBQ7-nq58/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zCes2I4gjafNmluM

      Check out “Greatautodeals” on eBay. They have a great selection of parts and kits. You can always ask them for something specific as well.

      Honestly I don’t remember the brand, nothing super fancy though. It was just a pair I picked up at our local NAPA store. They will last a long time.

    Where did you get your bumper??

    • @Farm10customs
      @Farm10customs  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I made that bumper from the center section of an old school WARN type winch bumper, and added the tubing, side mounts and a skid plate below the fairlead. I have a bumper video coming soon but I didn’t get much video of making the front bumper. I actually got ideas from an “Off road designs” bumper.
