Deco feels soo much harder to use, and it's honestly an amazing 2nd kit as it plays extremely differently from the vanilla while also being a really good kit. I kinda like what nintendo is doing with tenta missiles where the main and sub kinda holds missiles back from being more broken and chumps kinda taking it's place on the 3 weapons it's on.
honestly, i'd rather them just replace missiles with chumps and kraken, missiles are still incredibly annoying even if they can't be spammed, and those 2 specials could use more weapons on them.
This is fine for me. I wasn't excited for Deco Wiper for power level reasons, it was all about what the Splatana can do for Squid Beakon; I've wanted a good lightweight weapon to get around the map quickly while being more self-sufficient than the other lightweight Beakon setters. 2 slots of Sub Power Up grants the equivalent of 3 slots of Quick Super Jump to anyone jumping to a Beakon, and Wiper can make room for those two slots on a QR build without really sacrificing what the weapon wants to run; if anything, the huge boost to Quick Super Jump can be critical in getting back to the battlefield even more quickly. My Deco Wiper is a scout/skirmisher hybrid, not a special spammer.
I think wiper deco was cause for alarm cause it was a top tier getting the best special in the game, but I think for a missle weapon to be an issue that breaks/ruins the meta, it either needs to be an incredible painter like big swig, or a pretty decent painter and gets paired with a lethal/combo sub
4:00 as a flingza main i can 100% confirm. i have one piece of headgear that has special charge up as the main and every sub and i can fill the special meter within a single ink tank and i noticed and incredible difference with the wiper 😅
This video explained well how non threatening wiper deco actually is. The weapon’s playstyle is more of a supporting role imo since beakon and missiles are stuff that allows push to happen
Beakon was such a good choice for this kit. Like beakon definitely works well on wiper but it's also the one thing keeping the deco from literally just being a kshot
wiper mains already knew that it wouldnt be that game breaking as ppl thought when it was released, a beautiful example on why synergy and playstile can make all the difference
I'm a Wiper player and I have been since the beginning of the game. I love the vanilla Wiper's kit, and even though I only recently started utilizing Torpedo more, both the sub and special are very important to the way it plays. Now fast forward to Deco. This thing is really cool, not gonna lie. It's definitely gonna be important to the meta and teams are gonna run it, yeah. But this is no KShot, and this is Splat 3 where we have missile cooldowns. Wiper Deco is an aggressive missile weapon that is able to play off those missiles very effectively, and it can support really well with Beakons. But this is not the new best weapon in the game. Not having Torpedo means it can't position as aggressively, and having a really good special means it has to play more conservatively to keep its own charge, so it plays less QR (I still think QR is good on this though). Now, I've seen a lot of builds for Deco that are literally only Charge and Sub Power. That is not going to work; if you want a missile spammer, Flingza and Reeflux are right there. So yeah, those are my thoughts. Sorry if this is a little long, but I'm very opinionated on this weapon. Great video Chase!
At first, I also thought this weapon would break the game Then I actually played it, and realized just how much not having torpedo hurts it. For combos, paint, etc Flingza and Wiper can both paint a lot, but the difference is that Flingza can paint SAFELY, while wiper has to put itself out there, adding an element of risk 190p is still too low imo, but I agree the vanilla kit is better
I feel like if CDS and Wiper Deco had a special swap it would be better for both weapons. Wiper would work way better with chump than Squelchers and I think missile squelchers would work better than chump squelchers
I think it’s a very interesting kit. Definitely harder to use than vanilla wiper. When I realize that i just can’t be that aggressive, it made me consider a more passive option in my play style like shark around more with ninja squid and plant beakons to help teammates jump back quick. I find myself only firing tenta missiles 5 times in a match and only when im planning to slow a push in the objective. I really feel like I’m taking a more aggressive support role with it by making sure im backing up slayers at the front. It really does give a good contrast to the vanilla wiper playstyle.
thank you, as a vanilla wiper main who has a friend eho mains wiper deco, this is excactly my thought on the weapon, plus the leathel bomb point, hope this helps me win the next argument
I agree that it's not broken, but I still hate it because it means we will see more Tenta Missiles. Before the update, I almost never ran into a Missile user, it was super rare, and usually not a problem because the only real weapon with Missiles was Flingza Roller, and even that has its fair share of problems. Ever since the update dropped, I see at least 2 Tenta Missile users in every single match I play. It might not be overpowered, but holy shit is it annoying, especially if you main a slow weapon like Dynamo or Range Blaster. Having to deal with Missiles all the time is something I do NOT miss from Splatoon 2.
So I've tried a few things for Splatana Deco and its grown on me in Turf War. My main is the regular wiper. You have to embrace the support role a bit more, help the team more, but you can still get aggressive with the wiper itself. I've been using +9 sub up which grants quick super jump to any teammate to the beacon (the higher sub up, the greater the chance if I read it right) +9 to special up (larger target, more ink), +9 ink recovery and +6 special charge up to launch missiles as often as I can, +3 special saver. Ink recovery means more beacons. I've been able to keep my team more in the enemy base. I think I need to tweak more, haven't even mentioned the shoes at +9 stealth (seems not that worth it) +3 quick super jump, +3 ink resistance +3 intense action.
I play mostly turf war, but maybe this applies to other modes. I main with wiper, dark tetras a close second. The original kit gives more options especially when paired with others with low turf ink ability or players with rollers who just don't want to take care of home base. With the original kit, I aggressively attack first. After being splattered, I ink the base, once ready with stamper, I usually super jump to the best team mate to stamp the other team's base or throw it at their sniper or splitting. The new kit totally negates that play style. The original kit can be offensive and defensive, while the deco kit is mostly all defensive. When going on the attack, it is pretty much wiper only. Once tenta missiles are ready, I gota step back to make it more efficient. I rarely get hit with them because you get so much warning and they are easy to run from. Reef slider gives plenty of warning but the increase radius of the splat makes it a challenge to get out of the way. The deco wiper really should have gotten an offensive sub with tenta missiles.
While I agree diper won’t be game breaking, I still think it’s slightly better than the viper, simply because of its ability to play a flexible play style. Even though it’s kit contrasts it’s conventional way of playing, this could help wiper be able to play more supportive in some situations and more aggressive in others. Also even though it can’t spam missiles, it still can use them as an entry tool to partially compensate for the lack of torpedo
Thing is D Wiper can’t be overly aggressive. V Wiper can because it has a lethal bomb and doesn’t overly rely on it’s special output. You have to play passive with D Wiper😂
Hi chase! This is just a video suggestion but if you haven’t/aren’t already I would love to see a zipcaster guide. I love tetra dualies so learning zipcaster would be great
hey Ian! this is totally on my list! im just waiting a bit because zipcaster is something I'm currently learning myself! getting the hang of it but want to make sure I 100% know what I'm talking about before making a video haha
I'd love to know how Zipcaster's reduction to main weapon ink cost benefits the dualie dodge rolls, I feel like that in itself would open up a ton of options
I agree that the Deco Wiper is overblown, without heavy practice in the wiper itself, it's just a unwieldy support kit. Though, I'm not going to let that stop me from figuring it out.
Now I'm not a huge competive r ranked player, hell I only just go to do X battles for the first time last season so my opinion won't be great in terms of competitive play. But I actually prefer the vanilla kit personally and the main reason is the lack of bomb, I didn't quite realise just how much use I got out of torpedo's damage or tracking until I didn't have it and even though missile is an amazing weapon it fits for a more supportive play style which I like for a second kit since it has options but I think Stamp fits the aggressive playstyle that I love from the Wiper so much better. The second is still amazing but I haven't found it game breaking in any of my personal attempts, even when I actively tried to just missile spam for a couple matches just to see how well it worked and... it worked for spamming missiles but I barely felt like I was contributing and I didn't find it as fun. Again not a huge competitive view point but from my personal experience I think both kits are roughly on par, deco has the better special whereas the vanilla having torpedo is just amazing but I feel like for the more aggressive play style I personally look for with the wiper, the vanilla kit just fits more.
ever since i started maining wiper i really wanted beacon and i got it and now i play deco for beacon and only get missiles like 2 or three times a match
I agree with most things here, but I strongly disagree with it not fitting wipers playstyle. Yes, it doesn't fit VANILLA wiper's playstyle, but kshot, the weapon that made tenta missiles start really being used in splatoon 2, also did not have anywhere near as an aggressive of a playstyle as vshot and tentatek in that game, and tentatek was a meta viable weapon in that game. While I think beakon is a pretty big downside, I think an aggressive main weapon that can paint like wiper is the most synergistic type of weapon to get tenta missiles. Being able to take advantage of the opening your own missiles make is specifically why tenta missiles were the meta in splatoon 2 in the first place, you didn't see the jet squelcher nearly as much as you saw kshot and nzap 89 in that meta for a reason. Wiper is also the only weapon in splatoon 3 that has tenta missiles and can really do that, goo tuber is an anchor, reeflux is a weird support, and flingza can't really approach on its own like wiper can, and like most rollers is better at punishing approaches rather than being a part of an approach. This is what makes deco wiper scary imo, not it's tenta missile pure output.
i like playing the deco by playing safely, laying beacons, then after i use my special i play very aggressively for a bit and then retreat to recharge and for my team to push after me. It’s a very back and forth playstyle, but it seems to have been working
As a splatana player, I was originally excited about wiper getting beakon, I was hoping for wiper with inkjet, wail, or inkstorm. After it was revealed it was getting missiles though, I was disappointed because I hate playing the passive play style that the missile weapons have. I honestly think wail and inkstorm would make great push specials for it, and inkjet would be a really fun special for a splatana. At least now i can hope that stamper (my main) gets inkjet, booyah bomb or tri inkstrike.
idc about missiles, im playing wiper deco for BEAKONN it was so fun to just constantly spam beakons around the map, dying and jumping in immediately and just keeping up so much pressure, ive played so many matches where the other team cannot even start their own push
Wiper deco is not as broken as I believed it was gonna be. Not giving it a lethal sub is a big help, though. The kit is great, but definitely a bit harder to use. I actually haven’t really ran into many wiper deco users mainly because players say it’s not worth using without a lethal sub
I was scared about Wiper Deco too (even though I'm not a comp player, just someone who's interested in the scene) But a bit after the announcement, because I play Wiper as my secondary weapon, I could kind of guess the flaws it would have, and my thoughts were pretty much what you brought up in this video. It would have been WAY SCARIER if it had a bomb, so the fact that it has Beakon balances out the kit while creating an interesting support/skirmisher hybrid playstyle, and I really enjoy it so far. Also, I hope it gets 200p next patch, I'm even okay with 210, I get too many Missiles per match that's just not okay
Totally agree with you. Imo wiper deco is not gonna be that much in comp because of one thing: the sub. Beacon is not a bomb, its an utility sub. And we all know that actual bombs are better than things like beacon. Also like u said, missiles aint workin with the playstyle of wiper.
I agree I do not think the kit is fitted for Wiper Deco as it is too passive for deco wiper. I main shooter and I find it easier to confront them than V. Wiper
See, early overreactions like this, especially if they come from top players, is one of my least favorite things about the Splatoon community. It really makes things seem less fun than if their overreactions were actually true.
I'd say mix a good amount of QR and SS and Run Speed small bit of charge up sub power up and intensify and you got your self a pretty suppressive wiper kit that I'm very excited to try for the first time today been waiting for a new wiper kit
the new wiper kit wants to be an aggressive midline/pseudo-backliner by jumping back to missile and having very aggressive beacons set-up when your team can push up. i def need to practice Deco, as my swordplay is rusty as hell.
I think the devs thought process for this weapon was: Step 1) Plant one Squeakon in base/suitable position Step 2) Kite the enemies with slashes to charge special Step 3) Jump to Squeakon and launch missiles So imo it leans more towards supportive by helping with chip damage from horizontals while it slowly builds up special rather than rushing in aggressively. Being a Splatana just makes it much more mobile and agile than lets say a GooTuber or Flingza, and easier to defend yourself with than the REEF-LUX. As a bonus the missiles helps reveal to the user where the enemies are so it can somewhat help to lure them closer to you to either combo with the missiles or one-shot them with the direct.
ive heard some people say that the wiper benifits a lot from beacons but just when. someone else on the team has them lmao. they said since wipers are pretty front line there isnt a lot of chances where a wiper deco user can afford to deplete so much of their ink tank and theyd need to replace the beacon every time (plus the whole non-lethal thing lol)
I literally said this when the splatana wiper deco was announced ahahah, never thought that this skit would be the end-all-be-all of splatoon 3 kits, people were really just overreacting.
I was moreso mad bc a busted main getting missle means that special is significantly more common (bad), it's still good but thankfully beakon stops people from stacking it
I mean, yeah. Between the normal Wiper playstyle and the way Tenta Missles work, the kit is gonna have the Inkvac problem if the users try to be overly aggressive with it. With the Inkvac you have to be close to use it and it can leave you open. The vanilla kit just has better synergy. In the past days, I have canceled Tenta Missles more often then ever in my experience of Splatoon.
I disliked not having a bomb. I could help in more fights with torpedo and the main weapon, than tenta missles could. However, I ran a bunch of special saver on the deco and it made for a very great option
I already figured this out. But honestly, after playing so much Big Swig, I have gotten sorta decent with Wiper. I wouldn't mind playing a support Wiper despite not really finding missiles fun to use. Obviously its better with the bomb but I kinda like beakons on it.
So is it okay to give missiles to short ranges shorter as long as the don't get a bomb? It seems to me that missiles aren't the problem, it's the bombs.
I main Vanilla Wiper and I was very disappointed when I saw the kit. The lack of a good sub makes the weapon feel weird to use. Also missiles don't fit the aggressive gameplay of it either. Guess I'll have to wait 3 more months for a chance of Kraken and/or Burst Bomb.
What do I think of wiper deco? All I think are missles Ok, jokes aside, I do like it a lot. I personally am the the kind of player who forgets to use the sub and with beakon its kind of a one and done for the moment. It also is a great weapon to learn what how to poke with the main weapon and how to be a nuance to the opponent after launching missles. My strat is farm for first missles, place beakon or 2 if needed, then launch missles and go in with them to push. Its honestly a lot of fun and if I die It would still probably be faster because missles are on cooldown
Being a huge fan of the Wiper; and it's versatile base kit, I cannot help feeling disappointment at the news that the Deco kit is Squid Beakon and Tenta Missiles: some of the more boring game mechanics on offer. I'm surely not alone in having that reaction, given that we've had to wait close to 9 months for this depressing news. Hopefully us Splatana enjoyers get a cool Stamper kit this September. Also hopeful that Missiles don't end up defining the Wiper like it does the REEF-LUX. I'm STILL mad about that! That bow alone is cool and deserves to be recognized as such. 😢
hard agree! it very good but has to sacrifice a lot of aggression you can pull off with the vanilla kit. i definitely love that its given me a new play style to try as a wiper main tho
While Wiper Deco isn't broken, I do think it's extremely powerful. You explained how Beakon and Missiles promote passive playstyles, and on weapons like Flingza and REEF-LUX that hang back and focus on painting that may be true, but I find that Wiper Deco is the opposite. Wiper's aggressive frontliner playstyle can be amplified by Beakon and Missiles. You can forge a path with the main weapon, place down a Beakon for later, and finish off the enemy while they're too distracted running away from your Missiles. Using Beakons as a selfish re-entry tool instead of a support tool allows Wiper to bully backlines and Missiles complement that playstyle perfectly.
Kinda happy that Splatana Wiper Deco isn't too overpowered. Squid Beacon is honestly a great utility sub. Glad that Tenta Missiles got nerfed so it won't break the meta.
Y’all are just wrong, saying that conflicting play styles hinders the weapon is the dumbest thing I’ve heard. Remember ksplat-that thing had an extremely versatile play style and that’s what made it good. Sure it had a lethal bomb but the point is that diper can fight pretty well even without it’s sub. There’s no way in hell it isn’t top 3.
I think that vanilla wiper is the better one. Sub & special goes extremely well with vanilla but on the other hand missing doesn’t at all, you have to fall back to ensure you survive the special. And as someone who should push or hold I think that’s a terrible weakness. I like beacons somewhat if you build your would gear around it, I think you would be an extremely annoying opponent, and quick respawn is quite good, but if you actually that much of an advantage compared to just jump to another player? I’m quite unsure about that actually, especially since stealth/roll drop are viable alternatives.
I’m glad it’s not as strong as people thought. I’ve been one-tricking VWiper for 2 seasons, and honestly I was more upset this got missiles *because the kit just sucks* as opposed to “it’ll be too good” Yeah it paints a ton, but the lack of a sub rly hurts its combat ability, and the cooldown nerfs missiles hard
This weapon, along with its set, is like trying to be the Splatoon 2 sloosh-o-matic deco. Almost like it, but it requires a bit better aiming, even up close to opponents.
i dont think people are as worried about this in competitive but its extremely annoying in solo queue because it gets away with spamming missiles and is pretty difficult to pick off if theyre playing more passively. i do agree that its not game breaking and theres not going to be 2 wiper decos in every comp, but the issue is that its an entrance for missiles to come back at the top level when it was almost irrelevant before because it wasnt on anything crazy good, and also that its a very frustrating weapon to fight in solo queue
I think this easily could have broken the game if missiles were never nerfed to begin with because that specific nerf to stop the missile spam was very needed.
While in practice, I do agree that it isn't THAT big of a deal, 190 Missiles, even with the cooldown nerf is way too low. If they give that special amount to Rapid Pro Deco instead, I would be fine with that but yeah. Make that 200 please.
As someone who has 3 stars as well with the wiper deco and is not in but very intrigued with the competitive side of Splatoon 3. I think that wiper deco is perfectly balanced for the new maps Splatoon 3 has added. I do like vwiper better because I like to use a bomb more the my special but that is a personal opinion. Overall I don't think it will rule the meta like splash did at the 6 month mark of the game I do think it will be a pretty good weapon that will be in a few of comps that have the ability of play around the weapon.
Idk if i'm first or not, I despise the Splatana Wiper Deco because personally dislike utality Subs, Point Sensor is okay on Heavy Deco, but i perfer using Lethals on non shooter weapons, like Foil Flingza better have Splat Bombs and Triple Inkstrikes. In my opinion, The Diper is not designed in Competitive, only on Turf War(idk i'm wrong?). Worst than Aerosprays.
completely agree with you, Wiper Vanilla is more agressive kit, Deco is clearly more a support one without a bomb and with missile that you have to go back a little to target the most enemies you can.
IMO people were overreacting to Tenta Missiles as if they were still pre-nerfed 'when you could immediately start to fill the meter back up after using the special'
I think its weaker in soloq than people expected, but I think it will likely still dominate JP tournemants (they are faster to adapt) this patch like V splash did pre nerf. Wouldn't be suprised if it was #1 picked weapon in JP pro play
Thank you chase this is literally what I've been trying to tell people, I think most of people who are scared and would disagree with you are non wiper players.
When i saw the kit i was incredibly disappointed as they completely missed the opportunity to give it kraken. Kraken wiper wouldve been so fun. I still have yet to play deco wiper despite maining wiper
@@Lightning-gg5iu it would've been redundant but its something wiper wouldve liked as it would help it get in and potentially place beakons behind n such and in general kraken is a much more fun special than stamp imo Other specials would have been fine aswell but kraken is the most fun and fills what the weapon wants to do best
While Wiper is probably the best weapon for direct combat between the four missile weapons, people overestimated Wiper's killing ability once you take away a sub it can combo with Meanwhile Im just waiting for Reeflux to get a more functional kit coz I think that thing has huge potential with the right sub or special
For me wiper deco is the best support weapon, this kit forces the player to flank and farm missiles and place beakon behind the enemy team, also cheap damage. This weapon in my opinion is top 3. Best weapon rn us BP and splash slightly worse but SLIGHTLY (almost the same)
I feel like it doesn't matter if the vanilla wiper is the "better" kit: people are picking this for the missiles more than anything. Maybe it's first in line for a pps nerf, but that just begs the question why the devs gave it 190 missiles in the first place if literally everyone knew how problematic that would be.
I think the nerf to missiles really helped maks sure this weapon wasnt as potent as kensa shot. Especially since the wiper deco isnt even in the shooter class and theyre known for having the best paint output. I think the fear really boiled down to "Wiper deco is a weapon that can paint AND has 190p missiles." This may not be true, but i dont think flyfish in salmon run helped with the backlash at all since those guys are literal run enders, so seeing 190p missiles sounded really messed up on a wiper
its definitely strong, especially in the right hands, but it is not busted, which is what everyone was thinking it'd be. viper's kit is really aggro, but deco's just isnt. i really like how nintendo made the 2 kits have completely different playstyles
I just dislike how missiles function honestly. It feels like so much potential reward for such a safe special. More missiles in meta isn’t healthy imo. They need to reduce targets you can lock onto, or reduce how many missiles are fired at each person
I like the weapon, dont think its broken tho Ill probably try running some special saver. same with tetras now that both have actually good specials I lije missiles on it not cuz it makes the weapon passive but because it enables it to push off your own missiles
Why is goo tuber 200 though and the splatana deco 190 instead? I'd imagine the goo tuber would be less of a threat than the wiper since goo tuber has always struggled and doesn't get the special that often.
I honestly dont care if its good or not, just whether its miserable to play against. Just cause missle spam isn't an ideal playstyle for the main weapon doesn't mean people aren't gonna run tons of special charge and play brain dead missle spam on a weapon they think is "cool". Only time will tell whether it will suck for the solo que experience, but frankly I find it maddening that they'd make it 190p; tentamissles straight up aren't a healthy special, and making them insanely spammable by putting them on weapons with strong paint and giving them a low cost honestly sucks
I really like your voice and you didn't speak too fast because English is not my first language. Are there some states in America that people usually talk faster? because some youtubers talk really fast.
Yep, it ended being a big nothingburger. I've barely noticed an increase in tentas. Of course weapons will continue to be nerfed and buffed for a long time, amongst many other adjustments, but I think the dev team has gotten a pretty good grasp on balancing the game now that they're 3 deep into the franchise. People need to chill.
From my experience, the Deco version is good, but not even close to broken. It having beacons really holds it back when fighting, i kinda don't see it's playstyle being very useful, at least not in solo.
Personally? I was never really doomer with this weapon. I just hated that Nintendo added missiles to another weapon instead of just giving missiles the Ray treatment.
i predicted that wiper deco wouldnt ruin the game and i was right, if anything, i think the vanilla wiper is gonna be better (but they will still be run in comps)
I agree with you tbh. I think something you can do with it is get behind the enemy team, missile them and then flank them while they get displaced by the missiles, which I think can be really good, but not broken. Personally, I would play VWiper over it most of the time, bc I prefer Torp Hammer over missiles. Also STOP CALLING IT "DIPER" FFS this is THE most cringe nickname anyone has ever given to a splatoon weapon and I'm so tired of every 2nd splatoon player saying it.
OK, if the same main weapon that has two kits one with Stamp + one with Missles, in my opinion either way with a bomb or utility Missles would be better Also I’m a dirty Missles spammer so kinda bias
@@general.catallion_8054 yeah, I want to see the Octobrush getting Kraken next.
@@general.catallion_8054 I would have loved kraken on the wiper but it would become waaay to aggressive and overpowered.
People just overreact to everything. Remember neo splash?
no one “overreacted” to Neo splash because we already had the same damn thing in the game. People were just mad bc of that
People werent overreacting to neo we were just mad that we already were having such similar kits
Neo splash is still a top tier lol
@@NotSnak no it's not, it's a mid tier at best and only has a nieche with carbon deco
@@ganwhow Wrong lol
Beakon was such a good choice for this kit. Like beakon definitely works well on wiper but it's also the one thing keeping the deco from literally just being a kshot
But KShot didn't have cooldowns, and it was a better painter.
wiper mains already knew that it wouldnt be that game breaking as ppl thought when it was released, a beautiful example on why synergy and playstile can make all the difference
Deco is way more passive then vanilla and feels like you have to worry more about positioning than kills
At first, I also thought this weapon would break the game
Then I actually played it, and realized just how much not having torpedo hurts it. For combos, paint, etc
Flingza and Wiper can both paint a lot, but the difference is that Flingza can paint SAFELY, while wiper has to put itself out there, adding an element of risk
190p is still too low imo, but I agree the vanilla kit is better
You have to play passive with D Wiper😂
call it wiper deco 😅

Which Wiper do you think is better? Vanilla or Deco?
probably vanilla because of torpedo for entry tool
A good sub is more important than a good special because you're constantly using it as part of your regular gameplan.
Usually I would pick deco if your playing more aggressively and beacons also stamp got nerfed from 9 secs to 7 sec but it’s your choice
@@GoldStorm07 makes sense. Subs are more versatile than specials
I say it at the end of the vid haha but prob v wiper
it just doesnt really FEEL like wiper
This video is so funny after deco becoming a support meta
It won't break the meta but I'm still maining it. I've waited too long for a new wiper kit.
Totally agree with you. Imo wiper deco is not gonna be that much in comp because of one thing: the sub. Beacon is not a bomb, its an utility sub. And we all know that actual bombs are better than things like beacon. Also like u said, missiles aint workin with the playstyle of wiper.
Editing is super clean Chase, keep up the good work
Thanks Luci :)
I agree I do not think the kit is fitted for Wiper Deco as it is too passive for deco wiper. I main shooter and I find it easier to confront them than V. Wiper
I’ve played vanilla wiper a ton and when I switched to deco wiper I really felt the impact of its kit not having a lethal bomb.
I think the devs thought process for this weapon was:
Step 1) Plant one Squeakon in base/suitable position
Step 2) Kite the enemies with slashes to charge special
Step 3) Jump to Squeakon and launch missiles
So imo it leans more towards supportive by helping with chip damage from horizontals while it slowly builds up special rather than rushing in aggressively.
Is it to late to buy this game I gave my switch to my cousin but I want one again
I do wish Wiper Deco got a special that synergized more with playing off the sides of the map to go with its beakons, like inkjet or killer wail.
I disliked not having a bomb. I could help in more fights with torpedo and the main weapon, than tenta missles could. However, I ran a bunch of special saver on the deco and it made for a very great option
i agree, the regular kit is SO much better in my opinion
Burst bomb and kraken would be so fun
Beacon works best with wiper. But yeah this kit is more supportive and i honestly like support so it’s my favorite out of the splatanas.
It's not getting burst bomb and you know it.
@@fortunemuderhwa9318 let me dream ):
@@Krampy2 Beakon is good tho huh
What do I think of wiper deco?
All I think are missles
Ok, jokes aside, I do like it a lot.
I just get behind people and annoy them with missiles, die, jump to my beacons, repeat
I’ve been one-tricking VWiper for 2 seasons, and honestly I was more upset this got missiles *because the kit just sucks* as opposed to “it’ll be too good”
Yeah it paints a ton, but the lack of a sub rly hurts its combat ability, and the cooldown nerfs missiles hard
Honestly, All of us at the Wiper Discord were just salty that Diper (Pronounced Diaper) didnt get Storm or Chumps.
I think the diper will just replace the current spot of flingza, good because its the only missile weapon but that's all the weapon has going for it
This weapon, along with its set, is like trying to be the Splatoon 2 sloosh-o-matic deco.
I believe this’ll be a really good one-of option on comps and a really strong ninja squid weapon. Uh, that’s about allllll.
Worst than Aerosprays.
completely agree with you, Wiper Vanilla is more agressive kit, Deco is clearly more a support one without a bomb and with missile that you have to go back a little to target the most enemies you can.
do people realize that fighting with uncharged slash attacks kills slower than clash blaster in most cases?
Eh Kraken and Stamper are already similar specials, would’ve been redundant. I honestly think it should’ve gotten Chumps
@@Lightning-gg5iu it would've been redundant but its something wiper wouldve liked as it would help it get in and potentially place beakons behind n such and in general kraken is a much more fun special than stamp imo
Other specials would have been fine aswell but kraken is the most fun and fills what the weapon wants to do best
While Wiper is probably the best weapon for direct combat between the four missile weapons, people overestimated Wiper's killing ability once you take away a sub it can combo with
Meanwhile Im just waiting for Reeflux to get a more functional kit coz I think that thing has huge potential with the right sub or special
All i know is im ready to throw hands as a Reeflux main weapon main.
I don’t care what anyone says, 190p missles is 190p missles. :
i tried it, but its not that fun to use. having a bomb is really useful, and ultra stamp is more fun to use than missiles even if its worse.
its definitely strong, especially in the right hands, but it is not busted, which is what everyone was thinking it'd be. viper's kit is really aggro, but deco's just isnt. i really like how nintendo made the 2 kits have completely different playstyles
I just dislike how missiles function honestly. It feels like so much potential reward for such a safe special. More missiles in meta isn’t healthy imo. They need to reduce targets you can lock onto, or reduce how many missiles are fired at each person
Dawg My tent shield just got eradicated by a dweco
I like the weapon, dont think its broken tho
Ill probably try running some special saver. same with tetras now that both have actually good specials
I lije missiles on it not cuz it makes the weapon passive but because it enables it to push off your own missiles
Honestly, Wiper Deco in my opinion not a skirmish weapon, but rather a support weapon. The weapon doesn't even has a bomb.
I’m a splatana main, and have been day 1, with no bomb, wiper can’t do as well cause it lakes range that vanilla wiper could.
I think it'll only be a problem in turf
Probably gonna replace Lux
i predicted that wiper deco wouldnt ruin the game and i was right, if anything, i think the vanilla wiper is gonna be better (but they will still be run in comps)
It's a cool weapon, gonna keep playing my big swig express
6 missiles in one game can change your mind
OK, if the same main weapon that has two kits one with Stamp + one with Missles, in my opinion either way with a bomb or utility Missles would be better
Also I’m a dirty Missles spammer so kinda bias
