I've been playing it since the test fire and I love it so much :,) I'm so glad it's getting the recognition it deserves now- I was shitting on it in the beginning to alongside everyone else but I slowly realized it's not a jokingly bad weapon at all
It has a pretty good aggressive kit rn already. Ultra Stamp just needs a few buffs to it's protective qualities, and this weapon is perfect. It would be nice to see a more semi-supportive kit with this, though. Maybe with a Bubble, Ink Storm, or Booyah Bomb.
I dream of the Carbon Deco kit on Wiper, I love how the splatanas are the counter to HP specials being spammed though I love when someone uses the Ink vac near me
I picked up the splatana wiper on launch and loved it...mostly.(Thank you stamp) and saw chara playing the stamper, so I switched to that, which I also loved. Well. Here we are.
As a Splatana enjoyer it’s great to see wiper getting some positive attention! Personally I’ve stuck with Splatana Stamper for a while now as it fits my playstyle better and I prefer it’s kit, but if Splatana Wiper got an alternative kit I could see it’s use go up.
My brother's played the wiper since the game came out. He's gotten into S rank with a weapon that I first thought to be unviable and niche, but he made me realise that it's a frontline menace if you really understand the weapon and learn how it's capable of absolutely decimating the enemy team. Glad to see more people exploring the untapped potential of the wiper!
I have recently started playing wiper for real (after picking it up at the beginning of the game) and it’s hard, but when I’m playing well I play REALLY well and have a LOT of fun
I've been a wiper fan ever since launch and I've loved to use it as a disruptor. One of my best plays have come from me engaging an enemy, directing them away from my dynamo teammate, and us getting the kill together :] Wiper is super fun as a ranged weapon with its horizontal slashes and I love to drop in with Stamper and get the splats!
Props to LogiCreates, the editing on the recent videos are so well done! I really love the little touches like the bottom right corner mimicking the Splatoon 3 song titles with what's playing in the video.
Loving the wiper painting buff, it was my first weapon and it was so fun but I stopped using it because the awkward painting made mobility weird, finally going to pick it back up!

I never actually understood what the value of QR weapons were meant for, I always just saw them as feeders and would advocate for a different build. Thank you for explaining what a QR weapon does, I feel enlightened.

Quite honestly, considering that I've used both splatanas consistently since launch, I would actually be very curious what the Light Tetra's kit would be and how it would vary from the dark ones. I think a kit like toxic mist and zipcaster would be lethal. But as it stands, we need to continue pushing both splatana's meta for every single patch (unless they add a new one and its undercover brella or bamboo levels of garbage)
I started S3 being mainly a Tetras one-trick, picked up Wiper after the buff, and when I felt comfortable enough to take it into our LUTI week 2 match, we went 5-0 after previously struggling with crabs. And it has been SO MUCH FUN.
Honestly happy to see folks coming around on Wiper. And I'm one of 'em! Back then I thought the weapon was too weak and outclassed by Stamper but (admittedly) after getting my ass kicked by one, I tried it out and it clicked almost instantly! Coming from maining Squeezer in 2 and early on in this game, the weapon just feels so...freeing, y'know? Sure Stamp is about as consistent as Splatoon 2's kit design, sure it can take quite a bit to kill someone and sure, the OHKO range is kiiiiinda small. But this weapon's got one thing that makes it too hard for me to put it down: It's just so damn fun to play. It's the most fun I've ever had with a weapon in Splatoon and I've yet to wanna main anything else! From a bumbling beginner with it to 2700+ in TC currently with it, I absolutely love that it's not getting shafted as much anymore! Hoping for good alternative kit though. Worried about a Support kind of kit but it could work, (the thing's good at chip and finishing people off)! Dream kit's probably Fizzy/Splat -> Zooka/Booyah/Inkjet though but I'm interested to see how it goes! (Though sometimes I DO think the object damage is uh....a bit much!)

Explains why I keep going back to this weapon, it's honestly so great to use. Just the sheer speed you have with it while firing is just really comfy for moving in and out of other weapons ranges. And even if the ttk is bad unless you melee or combo, just the sheer pressure usually leads to a favorable situation showing up eventually
splatoon 3 is my first game but i immediately fell in love with the splatana. i don't play comp often, but i like to see different strategies from comp players and to learn more about ways to play the game... very cool to see wiper getting some love :) it might not be useful in high-level play, but there's also something to be said about the ability to efficiently two-shot opponents from a distance. with a steady aim, the splatana can function like a more forgiving but shorter-range bamboo. i would love to see people taking advantage of its charge shot more! this is maybe a weird kit choice, but after maining e-liter for a bit, i feel like ink mines could be a potentially very interesting choice for wiper. since the wiper gets into annoying positions, distracts, and chips, the mines could work well with it. not sure what special would be best--i don't know if big bubbler would work really well or really poorly with the QR playstyle, but I think it could provide even more distraction and obstruction, potentially incentivizing wipers to try more charge-kills from the bubbler's safety, too.
Since the demo I've held to the idea that the only buff wiper really needed was painting power to move, and I still stand by that, I think with its recent buff it's in a perfect state for what the weapon is
It’s been a while since I took my wiper out on a run but this video convinced me to give it another go alongside my brushes and rollers. I don’t know how good I’ll be at adapting my current play style to a quick respawn one but I’ll give it a go.

I played Wiper during the Splatfest testfire and had a blast, but struggled once the game actually came out and I dropped it for the next three months. I just circled back to playing Wiper and I'm glad to see someone else noticing the strengths of the weapon, especially with the huge paint buff it got as well as the Stamp fixes. As far as a secondary kit, I think giving Stamp Wave breaker would be absolutely wild since it would combo with charged slash and maybe a regular splat bomb to create a distraction to go in for the one shot?

I'd love to see a supportive wiper or stamper kit, or maybe an entirely new splatana with more paint output and focus on range. A splatana with wavebreaker and a homing sub seems quite fitting, though with Cjr it'd probably be outclasses without any nerfs to the latter.
That buff made it so good! I’ve loved how aggressive I get to play, ironically I die less now than I did before even taking more fights 😂 I use drop roller on it so I get a lil roll too which lets me get even more aggressive lol
Wiper main here, great video overall and lines up with what I think about wiper. The only thing I'd contest is that with Torpedo it has an even more threatening kill time than Tetra at time with the combo (Granted it is VERY hard to land) and that the weapon is more flexible on what comps it can be on due to the paint. Also, my dream second kit for it would be Fizzy Bomb, Killer Wail 5.1 to give it another combo Sub but a different special to help fill another role with the special.
The way I always justify “tactical feeding” is that if you take attention away from your team and have multiple people running after you, your team actually starts fighting the people that are still paying attention to them with a numbers advantage anyways. You can’t ignore the feeder either since if you ignore them you’re just allowing them to flank you. If you get 2 members of the other team to focus on you for 6 seconds, that’s 6 seconds your team is fighting 3v2.
Almost all of these points I called out during the first Splatfest. Of course, a few things have changed due to the balance patches, but overall I definitely agree, being an X-rank Wiper main myself.

As someone who’s been playing wiper since launch it’s finally nice to get recognition. Wiper is a truly underrated weapon
It is slightly better range than normal shooters on tap shots. Hard to keep the range without getting stuck in ink tho.
I also find wiper as my main despite me running little to no quick respawn.

I'd love to see a supportive wiper or stamper kit, or maybe an entirely new splatana with more paint output and focus on range. A splatana with wavebreaker and a homing sub seems quite fitting, though with Cjr it'd probably be outclasses without any nerfs to the latter.
I know Chara's Pngtuber isn't new, but some of the sprites are just adorable
being a Tetra main, this has me intrigued. I may give wiper a try now (also respect for using Sonic music lol)
That buff made it so good! I’ve loved how aggressive I get to play, ironically I die less now than I did before even taking more fights 😂
I use drop roller on it so I get a lil roll too which lets me get even more aggressive lol
Wiper main here, great video overall and lines up with what I think about wiper. The only thing I'd contest is that with Torpedo it has an even more threatening kill time than Tetra at time with the combo (Granted it is VERY hard to land) and that the weapon is more flexible on what comps it can be on due to the paint. Also, my dream second kit for it would be Fizzy Bomb, Killer Wail 5.1 to give it another combo Sub but a different special to help fill another role with the special.
The way I always justify “tactical feeding” is that if you take attention away from your team and have multiple people running after you, your team actually starts fighting the people that are still paying attention to them with a numbers advantage anyways. You can’t ignore the feeder either since if you ignore them you’re just allowing them to flank you. If you get 2 members of the other team to focus on you for 6 seconds, that’s 6 seconds your team is fighting 3v2.
Almost all of these points I called out during the first Splatfest. Of course, a few things have changed due to the balance patches, but overall I definitely agree, being an X-rank Wiper main myself.
