It's the perfect weapon for Salmon Run too.
It shreds through lessers (which are the things people tend to ignore the most), deletes bulky cohocks in 1 charged slash, is an effective boss slayer, and doesn't struggle with mobility. Its ink efficiency in SR is great too.
Overall, Stamper is just such a good weapon for PvP and PvE!
I find S-Blast to be even better in Salmon Run, possibly my favorite weapon for the mode. Jump shot clears away chum very easily while the grounded shot is amazing for bosses.
During Big Runs, All i dream about is stampers and S blasters
@@Fenyx_Birb Wiper is super good as well just due to having the fastest strafe speed, amazing for kiting the mobs and being the designated egg collector.
Brushes are also great for running around the map, delivering eggs or retreating.
it's charged slash projectile, although not enough to one-shot the steelhead from range, but it travels long enough distance for able the user to stay in safe distance, and hit hard enough either for the user or teammates to finish it off. is what makes it really good. Also it one-shot cohock up close. Best SR weapon.

I do wonder how it’s second kit will fair though, both it and Reeflux arguably have some of the better kits their weapons can get so it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Stamper is so much fun and so satisfying to use. I've recently started to really practice all the splatanas after burning myself out on splatlings and tri-stringers, and it's already so much more fun (I've already 4 starred Stamper and Wiper) but stamper is probably my favourite weapon in the whole game

Its also worth mentioning how good its design leans into Salmon run as well. Being able to have decent range to deal with some bosses while also having insane melee DPS against everything else is honestly so powerful in a horde gamemode. That 400 dmg charge slash is so tasty

People don't talk about sound design anywhere NEAR as much as they should, it is _incredibly_ important to how a game feels. Stamper would feel completely different to play if it had sound design as unsatisfying as Squeezer's, for example

Stamper’s V-kit is so well-tuned, it makes me wonder what on earth the devs are gonna give its second kit. Perhaps they’re saving Stamper Deco for an unreleased special weapon?
i like picking up weapons from frustration. i remember getting matched with a stamper player on the opposite team and just kept getting absolutely bodied by it, and so i decided to give it a chance because if i got that annoyed by it, it must annoy some other people too. the beginning was really hard but now that i’ve played it so much it feels like second nature. i really think that the dedication you have to give the weapon really helps make it feel so good to play. plus with all the combo combinations it has such a high skill ceiling where it always feels like you can improve.
One of the few issues I have with stamper and wiper is that I feel like the one shot could have a different one shot sound compared to blasters and chargers. Don't get me wrong, I love the blaster and charger direct sound, but I've grown to like the H-3/Stringer sound and I think more weapons could have unique ones!

I regret not picking up Stamper earlier, I’ve been finally putting in the time to learn it properly lately, and while I’m still HORRID with Zipcaster, I’m learning!!
My largest issue with Zipcaster is the same as Angle Shooter: I have very a hard time aiming it because it aims below your weapon's crosshair, and it's increasingly below the more upward you look. I don't know why both of those can't just aim centered
I mained Splatana Stamper for almost a year now, and my one reason was that it was one of the most fun and satisfying weapons to play. Only now, in this video, have I actually seen the meaning behind the reason why the weapon is actually fun and satisfying.

I've been trying to explain to my friends why Stamper is as fun and flexible as it is, think I'll show them this video. ^-^
Stamper is what flingza dreamed it was:
-Exact same range
-flingza speed is slower than stamper
-stamper has more consistent up close options
-stamper has universal damage while flingza has fall off with a minimum of 40dmg
-stamper has amazing kit synergy while flingza has mines
-stamper has way better object damage
-stamper has better match ups
-roller class is one of the worst classes

I played Stamper quite a bit at the start of Splatoon 3, but I started to lean more in favor of Wiper around Chill Season, especially after Stamper got its ink efficiency nerf in 4.0.0. However, I picked it back up around the Idol Splatfest and after a bit of gear tweaking, I absolutely love playing this weapon! I really think the sound design contributes to its fun factor, along with it being such a well designed weapon and kit in general.
Get ready for a Splatana flood in casual...

@@rubellite4480I think that’s partly due to the zipcaster buff. It’s become a lot more popular. I’ve seen some noobs using it in turf war, they’re so goofy. Meanwhile I shreds them because I main the weapon.

I recently picked up Splatana Stamper as one of my main weapons, thanks to you ! I watched all the content you made around it since the release of the game and now that I trained enough I enjoy playing this weapon more than anything else in the game. It might become my favorite of all time and I completely share the opinions you had in this video : it's the perfect weapon !

I like Stampers design because it rewards skill. The different options it has combined with its slow speed and poor ink efficiency mean players have to think about their choices and learn what the optimal plays are. When mastered, it's one of the best kits in the game. There need to be more weapons like this in the meta, and less of the walk-and-shoot braindead shooter kits.
I feel like the same amount of love and respect should go to the vanilla splash…… THE vanilla splash, pre-release footage showed zipcaster mist. The demo of the game had a better kit synergy and balance wise then release, and I would’ve mained it and praised it to hell
Splatana class in general is really solid. I’m more of a regular splatana kind of guy, but the stamper is really great too! I wouldn’t mind seeing another kit option though in the future though. The main kit is great I’m just terrible with zip caster 😂

Jr doesn't get its special too fast. Bubbler isn't good enough to justify raising the points for special. Now if bubbler had twice the hp, but twice speed of decay (so it could tank more specials while still decaying just as fast), then it could potentially be an issue, but for now? Bubbler is only barely more useful than inkwall.
That clip with the Hydra homie turning around instantly was funny
I picked up the wipers before the stamper and i gotta say i just don't feel like picking up stamper at any time. It feels so sluggish, slow and just not rewarding to play for me, mostly because i am used to wipers fast "annoying the enemy" playstyle. Plus i dislike (and am bad with) zip as a special. I hope the next stamper kit is gonna be an interesting one so i will pick it up.
I feel the same. I sometimes pick up Stamper but honestly I just don't vibe with its kit like most ppl do and I can't wait for a second kit that will have a different playstyle.

Fun fact: Stamper is the OG splatana. It and the wiper were in the game on launch. But only the stamper is in story mode. This is because it was made first. Wiper was made late and the story mode was already finished. It was just put in the trailer instead.

I commented this exact thing on omegas video about a month ago, this weapon is truly perfect. To fight and to play.
As a stamper main who is very close to 5 starring the weapon, i still struggle with doing good flicks because i get scared too easily when someone is camping my zip callback or jumping from above. I still try but my aim is really wobbly and i either flick too hard or not enough plus with the charge slash throwing me into a completely other direction than my enemy is in? How can i stay more calm in situations like this and effectively do charge slashes without fumbling badly?
I think you can practice protecting your landing in the training area in the lobby, by popping zip near dummies, then using zip and coming back down to splat them
Otherwise, you just have to go for it and step out of your comfort zone. Even if youre afraid to flick, just try it, and eventually youll likely be able to get over it
Also, about your aim being wobbly, you could try learning things the hard way by playing chargers
I sucked like hell at chargers, but after some practice, my aim did improve, and i think that carried over to my stamper gameplay

@@taigalou you can either take a quick glance at your map to see if anyone around your landing is marked (like, hit by ink and thus can be seen on the map) or try to watch for movement (e.g. a shooter popping up out of nowhere, or a roller spinning around)
I'm more of a Wiper main, but both Splatanas are absolutely amazing and some of the most satisfying weapons I've used in a videogame.

I’ve been playing Stamper a bit more recently, and (while I think they might have over Nerfed the ink efficiency by a bit) it’s still playable AND VERY FUN.

If there's one thing I would change with Splatana Stamper is the object damage to brella shields it's too much, the brella match up should be more even than stamper just winning 80% of the time.
Shields aren't supposed to just crumple against swords immediately.

I main stamper, I feel bad for stringer mains. That weapon is fun and takes a lot of skill. I’ll play tri from time to time. It just hasn’t gotten a lot that unlocks it’s full potential.
Honestly though it feels wrong that stamper will get a 2nd kit. The one it has feels borderline inseparable from the weapon.
It honestly does. The kit it has synergies so well that it honestly feels like it’s part of the main weapon.
Stamper is cool, but the range, damage, and utility make it really just not fun to play against.

My dream special for Stamper's alternate kit is Wave Breaker. The shockwave combos with the charged shot and uncharged melee slash, and I can't think of a scarier weapon to grant a tracking special to facilitate hunting down opposing players.

I dont know if there's a special that will feel as good as zipcaster, sure there will be ones that work well with it, but no other special *feels* like it belongs on stamper like zip does
Stamper has cemented itself as the best zip weapon with the unique identity of "chainsaw spiderman" and its gonna be incredibly hard to change that
I sure hope we get a radically different special because while I respect that you like zipcaster on Stamper, zip is literally the one thing that keeps me from playing it 😅
As a wiper main, I’ve always considered the stamper but since I don’t use motions yet zipcaster has deterred me from trying it out

stamper is a lot of fun to use but as a backline main it feels very unfair to fight and is a little overtuned
As someone who decided to pick up Stamper a few days ago, it definitely feels pretty oppressive against everything other than charger/elitre. The thing's range is nutty, more than a Squiffer; and against immobile targets the projectile speed doesn't really matter.
The fact that it can space and out paint most (if not all) other midline weapons too is pretty crazy. I'm pretty sure it even out-ranges the Range Blaster and Rapid Pro even with their blast radius considered. The main things that give me difficulties are dualies and other extreme mobility weapons (inkbrush, some lightweights, etc.).
As of now, as a 5 star stamper main, i can say that its downtime is punishing for whenever somdone gets too greedy, but i believe that in its current state, its pretty well balanced
I think that backlines could be buffed instead, but im not too sure about how it'd be done, especially given how backlines took a lot of heavy criticism (e litre) as a result of bad maps (mincemeat)

I always used to play shooters in every Splatoon game before Splat 3 came out, but when I saw the freakin chainsaw, I just needed to switch my main instantly. Even though it took me some time to figure out properly, I don't regret spending the time to learn the weapon, since it's soooo satisfying to play.
I'm sure i've been in one of your games one competively I was only in like A+ or S and I think it must have been back when I was playing Splatoon 2, Sadly, I lost track if I got the replay/ Video on my switch since it's full and stuff wish I found it. Anyways, Nice video as always cya later!!

I really want to love this weapon, but all the time I play It I am mediocre at best... I am a Dualies main and I can't do anything about it... even though I love the concept.. I am just not able to make it work at all ;-;

a lot of the reasons to love stamper are actually really similar to the reason why tri-stringer is my favorite. there’s so many options and so many different ways you could play it, it’s just always fun for me. killer wail and toxic mist make it easier to kill with the charge shots, you can use tap shots to paint like a slosher, and short-range isn’t even that much of a death sentence if you get the hang of dodging and mashing. the only issue i have is that toxic mist is too expensive, so it’s kinda hard to combo with in a lot of situations. but other than that it’s an absolute blast to play with.
