What this guy did is so far beyond what anyone else did today... His mental toughness is infinitely beyond everyone else's... The only person who could possibly stake a claim to be on the same level is Graham Blanks
Heroic Performance by Hantum. This will go down in NCAA Folklore as one of the greatest moments/efforts ever. Probably the right split decision at the 5K mark to proceed on instead of flipping off the remaining shoe or searching for the lost one. How memorable was that Jersey Swap! Think this might become the norm among all top athletes going forward. Simply beautiful.
Love this guy… deserves all his flowers, hope he gets his international running situation figured out so we can see him dominate on the world stage as well as the NCAA!
I don’t think that someone losing their shoe can ever be their own fault - but this being said, Graham noted that when he realized it was a slower pace he intentionally stayed on the outside to avoid any trouble. Regardless, Habtom is an absolute warrior and can’t wait to see him hopefully win it next year.

What a humble well spoken man
Crazy work. He would have won if he didn't lose his shoe
It would have been close, but I am not sure if he would have won.
Him losing his shoe was his own fault.
He would have won- Graham would not have had the gap present and h. Samuel wins on kick
@@baumsquad222have you never had someone clip the heal of your shoe? Not much you can do!

Your blessed Habton
Epic performance! Let him be.
He was cleared by NCAA as well as three other athletes older
Probably would have won if he had zero shoes
