The Olympic standards were much slower for the 2020 Olympics very few Americans have the 2o24 standards in the 5k fewer in the 10k which I think is 30 seconds faster now than in 2020.They are 1 to 2 minutes faster. Record Wise... The Africans at least . Many American women with the standard are injured this year. However many of the races are not at record pace they are 20 to 60 seconds faster as the pros often use elbows timing strategy blocking trapping team work and then kick at the end. @@Tigerex966 Like I said another Participation Trophy 🏆 winner. Good for her though, unfortunate for the REAL players at those distances - typical.
Athletic excellence! I love it
as the creator of Wholistic Fitness© since 1981and a stalwart pioneering coach of cross training for young distance athletes? especially my own 16 year old daughter (top 15 natz in both Nordic ski Racing and Trail running) just gotta say?!?! THANK YOU PARKER!!!!!
Just incredible to witness. Her waiting around by the finish line to welcome the other athletes adds a touch of class.
she's amazing.... enough said
That's a great finish to a great career. I remember when she was hurt, it seems like yesterday. But she never gave up, and leaves as a champion.
Parker looks so much stronger than a year ago. I want those Touhy Valby duels again.
You will I hope tuohy show6s up at the trials she said the Olympic team is her dream.
Declared and Accepted for Trials in the 5000 on June 21st at 6:22 PST
Olympics 2024! WOUKD be cool to see this young lady go blow away the world. I do not know what world wide comp there is going to be in a Paris. Will be fun to watch!!
Congrats!
Well considering she hasn't even run the Olympic standard and her time is only the 39th fastest run so far this year. 58th in the last year with 8 other Americans ahead of her...yeah, that's not happening.
She should at least be top 5 among the Americans I think, but many are injured so she may be too three among non injured Olympic America hopeful at the 10k at least.
She is not a world class runner yet... but she is only 21. And a tough, tough competitor.
The "world" is considerably faster than her in both the 5k and 10k. Even US runners have run 30 seconds faster just last month in the 5,000m. Let's see what she can do but there will definitely be an adjustment.
Translation - I know ZERO about track so just ignore me...
wtf was that nc state runner doing! get out of the way! Parker would have probably have gotten the standard if she didn’t have to go wide
2 tenths. No. Wide? She never even moved out of lane 1.
She wasn't trying to go for the standard
Would love to see her shine in the Paris Olympics
I hope we see Parker in the Olympics.
Beautiful with so much heart❤😊😅
Parker was smiling and laughing while congratulating the other competitors who all looked like they were ready to puke. Damn.
Amazing
She's an impressive runner and very pretty as well. She seems very confident and personable, too. Remarkable that she didn't seem that tired after the race, while others well behind her were gasping for air and about to keel over.
Trials could be interesting if KT shows. Congrats Parker!!!
Parker = Superstar
Respect! Outstanding performance. Just too bad of that 2 tenths! But I've faith she'll get them in time.
Parker Valby is a beautiful runner when she is up front. She would look great in almost any position though. I am rooting for Parker whatever anyone else does. How can you not?
Any position hm? ;)
Parker Valby is a great runner. She will get somewhere good.
Watching funny sports moments is the best way to relax!
Omg what an athlete
15:10 Valby says "I'm tired" right before one of the announcers declares that "she's not tired at all".
Absolutely FANTASTIC 🏆🏆🏆 I saw this in 2023 when everyone was writing her off against Tuoyi. (spelling😢)
17:15 lmao Parker Valby tackling sprinters would be as effective as throwing a marshmallow at a brick wall.
The most BEAUTIFUL runner in my long lifetime, and so TALENTED. I hope she wins a gold in the Olympics in the next decade.
Why did they correct the time so much?
I think that when Valby crossed the line, the finish line camera accidentally took the time of the NC State runner because she was to the left of Valby where the camera is likely located, so they had to manually look at the finish to get her actual time.
When Parker finishes a race she looks almost as fresh as when she started the race.
translation - she is doping

muy linda chica , en el remate final nos hizo emocionar mucho,le puso todo su corazon y nos alegra su triunfo, fue emocionante, soy peruano.
If she had started off strong and went right to the front she would have made that time 😩 still an amazing run she’s got this!
“I’m tired” 2 seconds later the commentators: “you guys notice she’s not tired at all?”
Maravillosa.
La adoro.
Abrazos de Luz.
She is destined for anything that she wants to do.
Not only as a beautiful woman and champion runner but as a good human being.
All the best to her.
Thank you verymuch.
The wonderful a good to a Runner in the winner a good life.
👍👏👏👏🌠🥇🏃🌠🌹♥️♥️♥️🌷🌠💫🌌😘
These commentators something else
why is the resolution of these broadcast so crappy? a lot of artifacts and pixelation. You'd think they'd have some decent cameras in 2024, and not using their 2006 ones?? FFS
I didn’t notice that myself. I will have to go back and look again.
I was at work when this happened and I was awestruck just watching it
Jesus christ that's just so impressive. I'm a dude who won MVP on my high school XC team with a PB of 16:38. Parker would have beaten me by nearly 2 minutes......
Parker wins races and hearts! What a fucking smoke show she is!! Beautiful girl!
Does the ncaa do USADA testing? What testing do they do?
Beautiful, dominating run by Parker V., but what is up with Hayward Field? This is the home of American Track & Field, and here is the NCAA D1 race & it's maybe 1/10th full of spectators?? If this was Europe, the stands would be filled to capacity! Maybe we need to move Hayward Field to Norway?
Don't you know that fentanyl is all the rage, and audio fentanyl also called rap....🤔🤫
Well done Parker. I am also so very proud of Bailey Hertenstein and Ella Baran from Colorado. Go Buffs!
how long does it takes for solve this problem
Reminds me of Secretariat in the Belmont 1973.
Secretariat ran against talented horse...
Finally breaks Tuohy's 5000 m record inside and out.👍😳😲😍👍❤️❤️❤️
Doping.
@@icarus8471 Parker does an extreme amount of "running" on an elliptical trainer. This type of training may revolutionize the sport of distance running. I think the "doping" claim is an easy out.
Oh please. There is always an "explanation". Now "revolutionary training". She had a massive jump in performance and does not show natural fatigue. She is doping.
@@icarus8471Prove it.
@@icarus8471 Tuohy Maybe?
Hilda Maybe?
The pros from Africa running 2 minutes faster, the 7 faster Americans?
Definitely not Parker that's disrespectful she worked hard to win and still did not qualify for the 10000 5000 or any oly.hikfa and tuihy are a little over 10 to 20 seconds behind.
Heck a couple high schoolers are not far away in the 5000 at 15 years old 15.25
None of the racers looked tired at the end and many ran the 10000.
everyone else is passing out lol and she is like hugsssss is she even tired? what the heck
What can I say Amazing !!!
Pretty great commentary
