So this one only has wireless CarPlay? No Android Auto?
@@CumBrianFries It does have Android auto. I have a timestamp for AA. Thank you.
Thanks Shiva! Any tempered glass screen protector you can recommend for this display?
@@CumBrianFriesI would look for any 9" screen protector. I believe there are some tablets that come in that size. But probably get a soft protector so you can cut it if needed. Thanks.
@@ShivaSapkota Thanks again, man!
The OTA update actually works. I was able to do an update recently. When you select "Update" in the settings menu, you'll get a screen indicating to what you need to change your router SSID or Hotspot name and password. Once you do this, restart the screen and it will connect. Then you can download and install the latest update.
I am glad to see them add the air vent. Great video as always Shiva. I am sure it takes a lot to make these extremely detailed guides but Tesla community is thankful for your hard work. I also like that you are not afraid to point out negatives and call out these vendors. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much for your kind words and support. I try my best to provide as much details and show everything including the negatives. It does take a lot of resources to produce these videos but seeing the support from viewers like yourself makes it all worth the effort.
Thanks, I was stuck until I watched your video. It helped a lot.
Amazingly comprehensive demo and review. thank you.
Thanks so much for this video. This was the best one I found in terms of helping with the install.
Absolutely love all of your videos, keep up the amazing work. Everything is shown and explained so concisely, just perfect!
Thank you very much for your kind words.
Great video, I like that you go over all the displays.
Thank you for the detailed video. I had out the camera aside. But after your video it took literally 20 mins to install
You did a great job! 👍 I really appreciate you taking your time to put this together!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it.
I like your explanation and how you actually do the installation in detail, even down to the unplugging of the plugs/clips. Those details help, which is impressive. Other videos skip those simple tasks which is so sad. So this makes it easier for a newbie like myself to be confident enough to unclip and do the installs with the wiring elc. I actually just bought this unit using your code. Yeah, good point on the UI design. Maybe if the manufacturers offer the ability to let owners redesign or theme the UI or customize ourselves then upload with sd card or usb, that might be helpful too. Great work on the videos and keep it up.
I really like your screen video, that make a huge difference for me and my neighbors. Keep up the amazing videos.
Good video bro, keep up the good work. Appreciate you taking time to explain this in detail :)
Appreciate the review. Will be using your code to buy this. Good job my man.
Thank you for the incredible video, your videos are the most helpful out there.😀
Thanks for this video. It is an important upgrade!
Great job… will be using this to do my install
Well done! This really helped me make a decision.
Great to see your ingenuity once again showing with display and with out when did you change your car it looks good have a great holiday
Thank you Mal. I really appreciate it. Hope you are doing well and happy holidays my friend.
Solid video, thanks for posting.
Thanks for the thorough review!
I don't have a Tesla..... Probably never,,,, but you are THE BEST INSTALLING AND testing Tesla gadgets !!! You seek more Tesla Cars because your installation
Thank you so much!
Great video. Thanks for your efforts putting it up. I guess I agree about the updating of older models (I have one of those). I hear you with the continuous introduction of new clusters too. But I also appreciate that they keep making new iterations that get better each time (largely) and that I can just be patient until I feel it's worth the upgrade. I remember getting OEM parts to upgrade my (german made) car audio that were incredibly overpriced, flawed and never improved, ever. These instrument clusters are much better value in that respect. Keep up the great work Shiva!
Thank you so much my friend. I really appreciate your feedback.
Your video was very helpful in my decision to buy this cluster for my model 3. Also a great news is that I could update it via OTA which is an awesome feature.
As always thanks for another honest review. This display is very close to what I'm looking for. I really don't care about Android auto or Apple carplay, but I agree 100% with you that a tweak to the UI is needed. Finally a decent sized display that addresses airflow. Thanks again.
Thank you very much for your feedback and continued support to my channel.
Great work!! Im OCD, so I did see that there is a small angle when the display lines up with the dash. I really love the blindspot monitoring.
???
Really good video, thanks
Love the videos !! Thank you so much for all the work.
Thank you very much for your support.
great video tour, well done!
Excellent review as usual. Thanks!
Instead of releasing a new instrument cluster every month, hanshaw should actually support the instrument clusters already released. OTA updates are still not working on my cluster, even though it is supposed to be supported. if you are going to continually review and recommend their products ( and obtain a commission) you should at least hold them to account regarding their lack of software support.....
I hear you and if you watch the "review" section of my video, I share the same frustration about their lack of support for older devices. I am pressuring Hansshow and hope they listen. Thank you.
Many thanks. Keep up the good work on your channel!@@ShivaSapkota
Then don’t review their product.
They don't support anything.. they buy and resell marked up aliexpress Chinese junk..
TMA will open OTA around mid month
52:30 Thank you for all the work you’ve done to make the installation easy to understand. My Tesla y 2023 is one month old and I’m eager to make it mine. Really want a front camera and a new rearview mirror with the back camera. 73yo woman from Oregon
Thank you very much for your kind words. It takes a lot of efforts and resources to produce these videos but hearing from viewers like yourself that my videos are helpful make it all worth the efforts. Thank you again. Please reach out if you have any questions.
I enjoy your video's, you take your time and explain in detail what nneds to be done. You also give honest reviews
Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.
Wonderful video, as always! 😊
Great video as always and i might actually pull the trigger on a hansshow display finally…the front camera is great but i wish there was an easier way to install this
Omg, the Intel installation is ridiculously hard, still trying to figure it out. But Shiva, your video is the most complete. Love all your videos.
@fwangfj1 yes - it is extremely difficult for Intel version (tedious indeed !!). I was eventually able to reach and remove the connector using two long flat head screwdrivers, one to keep the locking tang pressed in the release position, the other to simultaneously pry up the edge of the male connector from the female housing. Reconnecting with the new harness end was easy by comparison.
Great video as always Shiva, this is probably the first display I really want, it seems to have covered everything, I agree totally about the UI though, its so easy just to use the correct fonts etc, it seems lazy that they just don't do that. Apart from improving the UI the only other suggestion I have is the colour of the silver housing that sits on the dash, if it was the darker grey to match the silver/grey dash it would look less like an add on and look more standard (or is it the same colour, it is hard to tell in the video?)
Thank you 4 yours videos 👍🏻🤝
Awesome video dude! Incredible 😊
Awesome! I’m really tempted to buy it
Very detailed video, great
Honestly, this is the best one yet!
Agreed, this is the best version out there so far. Thank you.
Awesome video!
I love your videos. So good. Perfect everything!
Thank you very much for your support.
Thanks for a great review!!
Great review. Well done 👏🏻
Great job!
Great video!
Amazing video and detailed process! I'm am android user and this is the first video I saw the brief demo. It seemed liked it was lagging a bit. Have you done longer test?
Nice review will definitely give it a try
I like your videos. Varry detailed video Varry helpful. Keep up the great work 👍
Thank you so much for your support.
This is such an awesome screen; I sold my model 3 and now in an MX refresh. If I get another 3 or Y I’m definitely adding this screen
Thank you very much for your feedback. I bet the MX refresh is awesome!
Very nice video, especially with the camera installation. I've had my MYLR for just 6 weeks and want to add a screen but didn't because of the air vents as well the non standard software\UI. I do like the airflow on this one, but I think my OCD would cause me to get annoyed with it not being lined up straight on the dash. Also, I noticed in your video that English is NOT the main language on the screen and at times will flash back to Mandarin (or whatever else it was). I wish there was a way to test and play around with it more before spending that kind of money, even if it required more reviews and videos! Keep them up, i'll be on the lookout for more of your videos!
Great video, thanks for the amount of work you have put into this. I've bought this screen on the basis of your review, so thank you. The only thing you did not show was what Carplay in split-screen mode looked like, otherwise great work!
UPDATE - Having installed this screen, there is only one thing missing from this review - if you have the regular steering wheel, not a yoke, it can be an issue for the wheel to obstruct some of the screen, depending on your seating position. Worth mentioning, and something one of the slightly smaller screens (or one that mounts on the steering column) would eliminate.
Great job
It's great that they took my suggestion on connecting the bluetooth directly to Tesla instead of a passthrough through the screen on the previous from TMA you reviewed and implemented with this one.. It remove any sort of delays with the audio and the delays/echos with the phone calls. Too bad they didn't get rid of the brakes warning light on there when the brake lights are on since it shouldn't be on at all unless there's an issue.
Great stuff
Really like your extensive review will done . Thanks
Thank you very much for the support.
You did a great job! 😊 👍
Wonderful job!
Thank you so much!
Brilliant videos! Keep it up!
Thanks for great review Shiva like you always do! I have one question, is there a way to record the front camera view like typical dashcams? Like example put USB drive in that port and record video during the drive?
Amazingly thorough video man, thank you. The one question I still have (that I haven’t seen anyone answer) is do we lose any functionality from the right scroll wheel? I.e. follow distance or FSD style?
Gracias, Shiva, muy interesante, buen trabajo. me gusto,
Muchas Gracias!
Great video! It will be nice if the front camera can automatically turn on at low speed or at least be able to configure like that.
Great video as usual. I purchased this product following this video. I installed the F9 on my 2023 M3LR.
I installed it 2 weeks ago and it worked perfectly until 8 days ago when something strange happened to the device:
every time I get out of the car, the settings I set reset themselves, and when I get in the car I have to configure them again every time, which until now was useless (I'm talking here about color, time, theme , brightness, front camera is off).
So I have a question: what should I do to stop having this inconvenience? I should point out that I played with the settings all day and they wouldn't save at all. I also tried hotspot-update-download but nothing happened.
I understood that these things are solved with an update.
I have tried to contact your Hansshow seller by sending several emails but have not received any response.
Thank you very much.
Once again, a great video, Shiva! Here's a question you probably answered in one of your previous videos: Does installing this (or any other HUD unit) void the Tesla warranty? In other words, when you take your car in for service, do you have to uninstall the unit? Thanks!
Great review and installation instruction video. It would seem the screen is tilted towards the passenger side, am I right?
Great review
Love the video! Very interesting!
Thank you very much!
Great video bro! I think this will probably be the next change in my MYLR 😁 Do we have any update on Hansshow releasing updates for this?
Nice video thank you
Thank you very much!
Great video
THANKS! This looks like something that Tesla should have included but, absent that, I think I will give this a try when they change the UI.
Great work filming the install. Would you recommend this over the smallerH6 6.8 screen? Ive the smaller screen still in box. i would be returning it if you reccomended the 9inch
If you are able to get free/minimal fee returns, I would recommend this one over the H6. However, if you have to spend significant amount of money for the return, I would keep the H6 as it does basically the same thing but is smaller in size and not as good of graphics quality as this one. Thanks.
thanks for thedetsiled instructions. Getting the dashboard back was the most difficult task. It seems like the unit is too deep. I loosened the screws to try to get a bit more space but it was still a real struggle. Is there any detail available for the android based unit. I bought this as I hoped it would be more usable but maybe I should have ordered the basic unit. I can't see how to change the themes on this one?
Wonderful
What the difference with F9C with System Android?
This is my first time watching one of your videos and enjoyed it more than another video I saw on the same product. I like the details that you go into, including the old vs. the new model cars.
I’m not really looking for a center console, but a way to do car play. The center console displays seem to fill that need.
I’m a little confused by the Bluetooth integration. Is there a way you can demo that?
Based on the comments about support and updates from Hanshow, makes me reluctant to purchase one of their products.
My only other comment was to add an additional light to use in those dark places.
Great video 😊
Thank you :)
Good job
Wonderful video. Does the manufacturer splash screen always display at start up, and if so, can it be disabled?
like your demo think you also need to do one for a reverse park aid i had already a collision driving backwards the sound alarm is very bad of the teslas thx
Perfect !!!!
Dherai dherai dhanyad for all of your informative videso :)
Dherai dhanyabad hajurlai video heridinu vaekoma :)
As usual, an excellent review. I have an older version of their 9 inch screen with front camera. Do you know if the old wiring works with the new screen? It would be nice if I didn’t have to rerun cables and struggle with the computer connection.
Mismatch, requires rewiring
Very nice. I like it..!!
Great video Shiva!
Does the music automatically connect to the car after you do it once or do you have to connect manually every time if you want to use the car play function? Thank you for your help
Tesla automatically connects to your phone whether you are connected to this display or not. However, once you connect to this display, next time it doesn’t connect to your phone automatically. At least that is the case with me. This is annoying as CarPlay won’t start unless this display connects to your phone automatically! I pinged Hansshow but no response yet!
For the highland would you recommended the larger F9 or the F62 ?
Great Video, will this work on the 2024 Y?
Thanks for great video. Does the F9 - C camera version also connect to Android phone and show Google Maps and Waze? What is resolution of camera? What is the SIM card for? Do you have a monthly service fee? Does it browse? Is it compatible with HW4? Does it affect Tesla warranty. Thanks.
Does the front camera do any detecting or alerts or does it just show you a video. Thanks
Thank you for your video. You made my installation a breeze. Does the camera automatically turn on when the car slow down? Thanks again
Did you pull the grommet fully off to pass the fishing rod through? I tried to pull off the right side and fish it but something seems to be blocking it. Is it easy to push back in if I took the grommet off?
Is the screen sideways looking from a top view? Not lined up
Will this display Uber/Lyft driver app for navigtion on carplay?? Thanks for the review. I could really use this if it works for rideshare work.
Great video @ShivaSapkota and thank you for continuing to make these videos while providing feedback to Hansshow. So, which one is your favorite so far? Based on your videos, F68 seems like the best so far (UI, size, finish). Does the F68 support USB updates?
Thank you so much. Yes, my top choices are F68 and this display. F68 has USB-C port for upgrades.
Great video! ....At Hansshow there are 2 types of F9 9 inches touch screen , .....CarPlay + Android Auto OR Android System + carplay + Android Auto.
I have model Y 2022 which one show I buy?
Danke!
Thank you very much! I greatly appreciate your support 🙏
You are so symphatic
Another great video! Thanks for this. The website states this is only for LHD. I am in the UK, will this fit RHD or just LHD. Also does it need a connection with the centre console wireless hub for powering up the device?
Thank you. I just saw that note in the website. I am getting some clarity from Hansshow and will report back. I am not too familiar with the RHD vehicles but I believe you can get the power from the side door pillar (like the one I show on the video but on the other side for you).
