Shiva, I have a quick comment and one question. You are my favorite accessory reviewer because you show a detailed installation versus removing important content. This is critically important. I've watched many of your installs and other authors; please keep doing what you do. So much better! On to my question, I really like this new unit. It looks built-in and has Android Auto. Can you tell me -
    (a) Can it be a WiFi hotspot?
    (b) And if a low-mounted front camera is available?
If no, which Android, WiFi hotspot, low-mounted front camera cluster would you recommend?
You installed one such unit, but it is not as well integrated into the dash and inside power source, right?

I was one of the first complainers of the early version of the mini display when it only had a 24-hour clock with no 12-hour option. My other gripe with most is the European-type Speed Limit sign with the red circle. The thing is, these are easy fixes in the UI. Simple changes can lead to many more sales. Thanks for the great channel.

Hey Shiv. I really do like your reviews but not sure you did this one justice. I do agree with some of the UI inconsistencies and there are a few more you didn’t mention. The seat belt light stays on, the % under the battery amount (instead of beside) the mi/h, the fact that speed limit warning is totally missing. Maybe include those next time? Also, aside from all that I purchased this from Teslasy and they have already addressed the seatbelt icon issue. They are working on the others. The graphics are no different than other displays and in fact the crispness and clarity of this one is WAY better than the smaller displays. Also the time works perfectly if you set your timezone. Things like this missing from your review make potential buyers not get the full picture.

It would be nice if there was an option for that. It is nice to see the speedometer and all the info displayed, but the user should be able to decide whether they like that when AA or CarPlay is in use.

Once of these display makers need to get smart and create an API that would allow the community to create designs based on available CAN bus data and a video input.

I like Tesla Map functionality and would want that on any front display I may buy especially because FSD is getting very practical with monthly subscription.
So #1 for me is showing FSD information in all its glory.

Hi Shiva, many thanks for your interesting video. I have purchased the unit with your discount at TMA plus, got it delivered and installed in my Tesla Model 3 (manufactured in 2022 in China). But the problem is that after installation there is a gap between glove box and panel about 1cm. That looks not nice. I asked local car German service, but they did not succeed to fix. In addition i asked TMA support and sent them pictures. They promised to come back, but up to now no feedback received. At the end of the day i have just the costs for the unit, unfinished installation and frustration. I suspect design issue here. Maybe you can forward my message to the company support and ask them to help me too. Also this comment will be helpful for other people who are going to but the unit. Many thanks. Nikolai.

My greatest concerns about these products are, your insurance asks, have you modified the vehicle? Also do you void your Tesla warranty by adding this device to your Tesla? In Australia a Tesla model 3 starts at a bit over $60,000 plus on road costs, so I want my warranty. Personally, I am astonished why Tesla don't fit a front display to their cars. It is a deal breaker for me.

This model appears considerably more expensive than the Hansshow F9, with fewer features other than the more integrated look. Actually, I find it no more integrated than the other flat screens due to the center joints in dash cap, and the curved ends that, to me, look less integrated than a rectangular screen that resembles the shape of the Tesla center display. I don't like all the wasted display space at each side. Why didn't they square it off more? Lack of camera, blind spot warning, and steering wheel controls make it a non-starter for me, especially given the noted shortcomings in UI. The biggest benefits I enjoy with my 1-year old 10.25" 4G unit are: (1) it looks totally compatible with my center screen; (2) I can control everything with steering wheel buttons; (3) I can listen to podcasts and display Waze or Google Maps in front of me; (4) bumper camera saves me from hitting parking curbs at front; (5) I enjoy speed info closer to my line of sight. I would consider changing from my 10.25" ro the F9 if they improve the UI, as I like the F9's higher resolution screen, the blind spot warning, and with the hope/expectation that it is less glitchy when initializing the BT connection than mine is. The air flow interruption isn't a big deal for me, as I live in a moderate climate.

I agree, this one lacks a lot of those features we saw on the F9 screen. I am with you the 10.25" 4G screen was a great one with all the great features. Thank you for all your feedback over the years, I really appreciate your continued support to the channel.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention in my video. Unfortunately it is only for the LHD markets.

Oh man, that's a great looking product. I still haven't pulled the trigger for one of these accessories, but this definitely looks great and functional. By any chance do you know of any upgrade for Tesla where I can connect my phone audio to the Tesla so I get LDAC quality sound instead of ACC compressed audio?

    • @ShivaSapkota
      @ShivaSapkota  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

My apologies, I am not knowledgeable about LDAC vs ACC sound quality so wouldn't know how to respond. Thank you.

@@ShivaSapkota Hey, just wanted to clarify: LDAC and ACC are codecs for Blue Tooth connection between devices with audio. ACC is a high compression BlueTooth connection format, while LDAC is a near lossless quality connection. The audio quality is very noticeable if I'm streaming from my phone verses listening to the same audio from a high-quality stream from a Tesla app or from an HD quality file on a USB connected to the car. Unfortunately, Tesla only supports ACC (at least with the Intel based computers; I'm unsure about the newer AMD computers). I hope that helps clear up the confusion.

@@Falkor82 Oh okay, thanks for the clarification. I believe you are correct with Tesla only supporting ACC. Hansshow did make a product last year that is supposed to take the quality to the next label, perhaps check to see what they did? You can search under Audio upgrade on their page.

The latest model has some nice improvements, but there are two significant drawbacks that make it a deal breaker for me. Firstly, it doesn't have full-screen Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and secondly, it lacks a scroll wheel control. As a result, I won't be purchasing it. Perhaps the manufacturer could create a Bluetooth device, such as a wireless trackpad or a scroll wheel, to address these issues.

Thank you for your feedback. I really appreciate it and will pass them along to TMA.

I agree that the inability to control it from the steering wheel controls would be a huge improvement. Same with the ability to decide where the data sits in the screen-that would be great. Makes me want to get a Model 3!

Issue with these that it can stop working with a single Tesla update

Speedo is just near the tesla screen. Why would I buy this instead of moving eyeballs a little bit to check the speed? Hope there will have a screen which can be installed closer to the windshield.

That screen should be wider too much fake bezel plastic on the sides.

Hope someone can help. I can connect one time EXACTLY as listed in the video via iPhone etc but when I get out and then get back it, it does not (the unit) auto connect and I have to go into my iphone and set it again. Any thoughts? If not, then the unit is useless and will need to return, but hoping its a quick fix. THANK YOU and LOVE your videos!!!

Soon you will need to have a Battle Royale death match between all the aftermarket displays. The landscape is oversaturated and becoming confusing, even with the rear displays.
    There can be only one!

Lol yeah. If I am getting confused, I can imagine everyone out there being super confused with which does what. I plan on making a video to show all of these new ones and hopefully be able to narrow down to one or two that are the "best". Thanks for watching.
