Once again, great content. My question is, when you get a violation in which I have. But get them corrected, does it drop off over time. For example, I received a violation for tinted front windows in which I brought the truck with the tints but after the violation I got it removed. Once you correct the violation, could you go to data Q to get it removed? Or do you have to organically wait the 24? Last question? Does point go down within 1 year? Even if it hasn't been a full 24 months?
Unfortunately in that case, you have to wait the 24 months for it to fall off. That said, it will decline in weight as it ages. Violations drop in severity at the 6 month and 1 year marks.
Why do you get points on your CSA when not involved in a accident but only for incidents in a shippers parking lot like getting a flat tire from hitting a steal rod with a hook on it that caused the flat. This parking lot was narrow with all kinds of junk in the way making it hard to maneuver the truck? Don’t seem fair to the driver. Thanks.
I run a trucking business with my dad. This was a huge help, we understand things better and it served as a guide!

As an insurance broker, this information is very helpful - thanks! I can look up the violations in SAFER and advise clients to submit DataQ appeals

Ty great vid
I have 3 clean DOT inspections in last 3 months, but I don't see them on SMS portal
One of my drivers got some citations 2/9.Does the severity drop at 8/9 immediately or it drops by the end of that month?

Do you have proof what you are saying is true.
