Love my v1 maxx with the wide maxx kit. The back shocks are saggy af too while driving it. But i took out the stock esc and motor and put them on ebay as soon as i brought the truck home and opened the box. Didn't even turn it on or anything. I'll never submit to proprietary sh*t! 🤣
As soon as I started using that ESC in my hoss i started having problems with the throttle cutting out randomly break wouldn't work. It wouldn't work only the steering woodwork hold down the power button to the light turns red make sure your controllers on first hold full throttle it will flash hold full reverse it will flash green let off to neutral and your ESC will be reprogrammed I never had this problem when I had the vxl-3s in it
i recently got a brand new maxx v2 not to mention its 4 days old! and im having so many issues with it, does anyone know why my trucks is going from sport mode to limp mode then i have to unplug the battery and blug it back it then it goes foast agian i have had so many issues with this truck like limp mode, leaking diff, squeaky shocks, chassis slam, knocking when i steer, remotes light wont turn on, im more concerned about why its going into limp mode, so if anyone knows why its doing that please help
My Maxx v2 starts to pull to the right constantly and then straightens itself out.. I'm not sure if it's receiver the esc or the steering servo, I'm newer to RC so any input would be great
I bought both a Hoss and a maxx recently and both had electrical issues out of the box. Receiver kept losing reception after about 100 feet. Traxxass and the hobby shop are obnoxious about it as well. Replaced the receiver in the hoss and that fixed the issue. Now, put the replacement receiver from the Hoss into the Maxx and that fixed the issue. Still tussling with Traxxass to send me a new receiver. Only industry where neither the hobby shop nor the company stand by their product. Such a damn hassle. Never, ever had these issues with Arrma. Spent and wasted hours trying to fix it when it is clear they send you faulty receivers, steering servos and esc's. I have spent damn near $4k on traxxass stuff over the past year and still they are difficult. Time to move on from them. Low quality stuff they are putting out right now with generally difficult customer service agents that are just downright nasty. Why in hell do we spend a fortune on their garbage to be treated like crap? You get better service at Walmart. Very annoyed right now!
Bro i hear you i actually have a traxxas max i havent had any issues with the esc and reciever , on my xmaxx on the other hand i had issues with but i took it to fast eddies and they took really good care of me . If you have under a month with the truck take it to them they will help you out

Exact same thing happening here, full cut outs, but fans still on. No lights. resetting battery connection would bring it back for a bit. That was annoying but never stopped unless I rode batteries to 3.9v Now I have your second issue of total esc failure, kinda pissed off and bummed out. No lights on startup then 1 green three red. How did it pan out for you? I’m hitting up my hobby shop cuz that’s what traxxas suggested first
The max is actually a really good basher out of the box, ESC and motor are perfect for factory electronics, never a issue. You say the shocks are to saggy and springy then next sentence you say they are stiff and bounce when landing..what is it springy or stiff🤔.my advice don't do reviews just drive them and have fun, we beat the hell out of them then people want to complain just fix it and have fun....

Horseshit when they say you did not bind it correctly. The vechile is marketed as a "ready to run" The manual says it was bound at the factory. Don't tell me I did something wrong when you were the one who did the binding. This is a game that play. They know damn well what the problem is, they make the warantee process as tedious and time consuming as it possibly could be so you end up caving and just end up buying the replacement part just to get your $600 vechile driving. Again, never ever had this issue with other manufacturers such as Arrma who clearly makes higher quality better performing vechiles across the board.
