It’s available in the US, too. Traxxas just announced it on Facebook. I was seriously considering a Maxx until I went with the Outcast 6s EXB. Maybe down the road, I will get one.
Also available in Switzerland, but costs a bit more here for the 2.0 (though the difference is less than the cost of adding the Wide Maxx mod to a 1.0)
This Maxx V2 is a good truck to buy for guys like me that skipped on the V1 Maxx. I think I’ll be getting it. I do love my Xmaxx. But it’s too big to run sometimes. I love Redfin what a cool little shop well stocked. Wish we had a local hobby shop. There is a huge one but it’s 4 hours away from me. I order online from them mostly. To be honest, i like the V1 Maxx better, the wide maxx makes it look too wide, and the length of the V1 maxx is fine, and I also like the original body cover
Wider stance = better stability Longer frame = better stability Looks isn't everything and some people actually take their RCs to the max, so having a L/W advantage is always better. Don't just try to justify having the V1 by knocking V2.

Upgrade path of supreme bashing On my Traxxas Maxx V1 I have made a lot of alterations… Lets begin I did wide Maxx kit it and I also got 10mm extensions all the way around to it is 20mm wider than the standard wide Maxx kit. I replaced the wheels with the Redcat Kaiju set, they are slightly larger than the stock Maxx v1 wheels but much much better traction and makes for better plush landings, I also went with one size smaller gear on the motor to account for the larger tires. I also replaced the front steering nuchals with the Traxxas Maxx V1 aluminum upgrade for smoother more rigid steering. I also replaced the stock steering servo with a smaller and 3 times stronger also faster really makes it respond much better. I replaced the front and rear diff gears with solid full lock Hot Racing gears to make it full 4x4 locked. I replaced the main spur gear with the Traxxas Maxx V1 upgrade steal gear from plastic also the steel velocity drive shafts and then again with the hot racing much beefier keyed steel drive shafts. I also did the spring upgrades to stiffen the shocks and replaced the shock oil with all 80 weight. I also locked the and upgraded the center front to rear diff with the aluminum housing and putty locked the diff. i also got rid of the crummy cooling fans and upgraded to 40mm fans and 3d printer adapters to bolt on the stock fan mounts significant cooling improvement. And of coarse shew glue and floating tape body reinforcement. So far my Maxx is so so much better than stock its not even recognizable in stability and performance vs the stock Maxx. This was everything iv done so I don't think ill be replacing it any time soon. with over 600 USD in upgrades' Ugg I would love to get the V2 Maxx but need to get my moneys worth out of my first one.
The main question is, Why does every Traxxas bounce in the rear when landing? I have my Monster Mutt "Stampede" dialed in with dual dampening spring rate and appropriate oil and I'm super close with my Slash 4x4 Ultimate with springs and oil. But why from the factory must the chassis slap so hard? Just from a 3ft jump. Shouldn't It should come stock better tuned?

The stock V1 maxx needs the wide kit to make it drivable and stop it flipping over all the time - if you don’t have a v1 this looks like a great option / alternative ! We were in Redfin last week Kev - get the Porsche out for a speed run mate.

I miss my mini maxx I had wide kit and tons of upgrades it was 6s with almost every upgrade you could do to it and I sold it. I’ve got a 6s kraton exb now but it’s not as tough as the maxx so if it’s the same price as the v1 I’ll be getting the v2 I plan on keeping it mostly stock besides maybe a servo and esc and maybe steel cvd’s.

Going to get a maxx v2 next year. Decided between a v2 and a revo 3.3.But electric is ultimately cleaner dont have to tune from time to time aswell.
