Who is Yahweh? Refer to 2 Samuel 24:1 "and again the anger of Yahweh was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah" Now cross-reference this to 1 Chronicles 21:1 "And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel". Also Gen 3:1-8 "Satan came in the form of a HISSING SERPENT", Isaiah 7:18 "And it shall come to pass in that day, that YAHWEH shall HISS". The mystery of the ages which has blinded and confused the Christian world these past 2000+ years is that the OT is a Jewish book of stories about 2 gods, their tribal god called Yahweh, and the true God, the Father which Jesus came to reveal and to save us from the condemnation of Yahweh. Why do you think Yahweh gave them the 10 commandments? The law kills like Paul said because it's a setup! No one can keep them, so Yahweh is guaranteed to bring death to ALL mankind (The wages of sin is death). Jesus beat him at his own game by "fulfilling" all of them and being killed sinless! Why do you think Jesus rose from the dead? because he didn't earn the punishment of death! Death could not hold him to any sin! There are two ways to know which god the OT is referring to at any time. 1. look at the original word for God, Lord, and see if it is Yahweh or EL (EL is the Father). 2. The Father (True God) is love, cannot lie, has no darkness in Him, does not want sacrifices, and much more, Yahweh is the complete opposite, he comes to steal, kill, lie and destroy. Look it up yourselves and be free of the religious matrix. Peace.
Also about the passages you cited about Yawhews anger being kindled you forget that satan has no legal authority to actually destroy Gods chosen people, all he can do is tempt and seduce the Israelites to sin so that God will have to force justice. Sometimes its so wicked that blameless people are tested, like Job. Thats why the adversary is "the accuser" who temps and then accuses us for our sins that he instigated so God has to answer with judgement. Luckily Jesus came so that now we have greater mercy and redemption, because now we are measured by the righteousness of Christ. Romans 3:31 Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, WE UPHOLD THE LAW!
Dear Pastor Caldwell, if it is adultery to remarry after divorce. Is it a one time act that God forgives or is it ongoing sin? Sincerely wanting truth?
Deuteronomy 22:13 If a man takes a wife and, after sleeping with her, dislikes her 14 and slanders her and gives her a bad name, saying, “I married this woman, but when I approached her, I did not find proof of her virginity,” 15 then the young woman’s father and mother shall bring to the town elders at the gate proof that she was a virgin. 16 Her father will say to the elders, “I gave my daughter in marriage to this man, but he dislikes her. 17 Now he has slandered her and said, ‘I did not find your daughter to be a virgin.’ But here is the proof of my daughter’s virginity.” Then her parents shall display the cloth before the elders of the town, 18 and the elders shall take the man and punish him. 19 They shall fine him a hundred shekels[b] of silver and give them to the young woman’s father, because this man has given an Israelite virgin a bad name. She shall continue to be his wife; he must not divorce her as long as he lives. 20 If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found, 21 she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you.
Lack of knowledge on your part. You obviously don't know who your Father is, the simple answer is that they are two different Gods. The old Testament God is the Jewish God which is a fallen angel. Jesus tells you in the Gospels. All Christians have a veil and can not see the truth. Blessings and I hope you find the truth so you can really teach.
Its sounds like candy coating to me sorry, sounds like God truly did make us in his image. Humans who are slow to anger but kill if necessary, humans who are loving but can be jealous etc. We really are made in the image of a God who admits I'm slow to anger but if you cross me I will kill you. Difference is when we do it we are condemned . Another big thing is this , Isn't Satan accused of jealousy, killing when no one follows his ways as in the early deaths of Christians at the stake and burned for their beliefs. What's going on here , who's killing who for what, God, Satan, humans, there is something wrong with this.
I don't seem to understand why preacher shy away from this question.its obviously true that God's actions/dealings in old testament was warsome, hash, wrathful more than in new testament. The question didn't say there was no mention of wrath in new testament but God in the old testament more horrific
I think it’s a matter of there being much more time passing in the Old Testament than the New. The OT is centuries and centuries, while the NT covers only a few decades. I don’t know. Just a thought.

What do you mean?
Jesus is just telling the disciples that just because our enemy will hurt us does not mean that we should also hurt him
@@emilioduran3430 It's also one of several passages where Jesus defies the law of the OT god.

God does not change [Malachi] even in new testament he is still the same
Pastor,
Would you say one of the first acts of kindness by God was his willingness to clothe Adam and Eve after their sin?
Let us hope there is a being less capricious and ridiculous as the one they are sending forth
