A good literary example of this would be Talkative from the Pilgrims Progress. He loves to talk about spiritual things, and he seems to know a lot, but Christian can tell that he has not been changed by all of this knowledge. He encourages Faithful to ask him certain questions which reveal who he truly is. Just a talker. And ultimately as much as faithful attempts to explain about real faith, Talkative does not want to walk anymore with Christian and faithful.
I was a false convert for the first 30 years of my life. This topic is especially close to my heart, and it's an enormous issue within the church because many don't think that deeply about these issues.
This is very informative. Thank you,!
EXCELLENT EXPLANATION!!!
