If your having issues with fingerprint scanner, increase the sensitivity of your screen. That helped with my s10+ when I had a built in screen protector in my phone case

I have the Aussie version with six gig of RAM. Wireless charging seems to be a bonus if you own the latest car or vehicle. Coming from a Galaxy S4 l am very impressed so far. Had it for two weeks.
Mine is 6 gb ram, and it works amazing no lag at all been using it for two months,if anyone thinking of buying this if you cant go for a71, then make sure to go for 6gb not 4 that is a huge difference cause this phone runs most of the time at 3gb when your using all the apps or 4, so you'll still have 3 gb of ram spare. This is my opinion, I had an Apple phone for only 2 years and it packed in all of a sudden. Before that it had many issues like battery life problems iCloud storage and everything like that. My friend has had a Samsung for 4 years now and nothing has happened. Overall in my opinion I think that Samsung is more worthwhile, cheaper and better quality. (My opinion)

My wife and I got our A51 phones from Spectrum a little over a month ago and we really enjoy them, but, me being the one who plays racing and boxing games, I really wish I had the A71. Spectrum didn't have that to offer at the time but hopefully an upgrade from them will be coming soon. Thanks!

Good review, I've been shopping around and I agree this is the best value currently on the market for price/features. I would still envy the S20's camera although this phone's camera is still miles ahead of others at the same price point. One thing that gravitates me toward this A51 is the headphone jack - a lot of focus on video with most phones but audio is getting sidelined. I listen to podcasts and music on headphones while I work, and Bluetooth is horrible for audiophiles like me.

We're STILL waiting for our upgrades to show up in the system for the store we go through, it's there on our devices, we paid them up to the point required. For people having trouble with the finger print scanner try registering the same finger you use to unlock your phone to the max fingers that could be registered instead of registering different fingers, this way the sensor would be faster.
just got mine (128gb,6gb ram) last 2 weeks and i kinda love it.it feels premium and i love when i can do my assignments smoothly, tiktok all day and sometimes pubg with maximum 2 times charge. also the new update which the navigation bar can be removed makes me less desperately wanting the new iphones haha. the only thing i hate about the samsung a51 is my old iphone 5s can take faster snaps with better pictures with no blurs and smoother videos lmao.not only that, i have to regularly clear the ram storage if i dont want it to lag. but overall, its a decent phone

@@aena5995 yeah u can. but its definitely not for gaming tho.when u get the phone, i suggest u to add device care from widgets to the home screen so u can regularly clear the ram storage to optimise the phone. so far, i have no lag. for assignments, i only use it to change file or picture to pdf bcs its easier that way.i also have all kinds of google and microsoft apps on the phone for online classes.im starting to love the phone now.its easier to download anything compared to ios.
You're talking to an LG user and I will tell you this I tried in a50 last year a saw whatta a better panel super AMOLED is LG makes the most premium feeling looking phones that I've ever seen but for some reason my $800 v50 can't hold a match to this a51 it's just incredible somehow Samsung just knows how to make a panel and they know how to make cameras even the the single-camera they had on their j7 I have a friend who uses it for his drone and the videos look far superior to anything I've ever seen from any phone in any class I know it sounds weird but it is true Either it's the lenses they use or I guess somehow the circuitry but whatever it isif I look at a photo on my computer that was taken with a Samsung as opposed to an LG or even an iPhone for that reason The Samsung is a better quality photo and not just because they over-saturate because even when I enlarge their photos they don't I do some very moderate graphics programs and I learned this very early on when I saw photos he took I'm done with LG , I don't know why they get all the camera hype I guess people love the bells and whistles which would be great if their phones would not lock up while trying to use them ugh!
I bought my Samsung Galaxy A51 yesterday and at first I was not really happy with the overall performance/smoothness (didnt expect flagship performance but still less than I expected). But after Reducing Animations in Settings/Advanced Features and reducing animation speeds to .5 in Developer Options, the difference is NIGHT AND DAY! Love this phone now.

One of the most important aspects of any phone for me is the speaker/audio quality, so kudos to this reviewer for talking about that for this phone. I am looking for a new mid-range phone with good speaker/audio and very importantly in-call quality, as I want to upgrade from my 2017 Honor 9 Lite, which for a budget phone has excellent speaker/audio/in-call quality. I would not buy the Samsung A51, or indeed its bigger relative the A71, because going by this review and indeed other reviews the speaker/audio (and therefore I assume the in-call quality) lets them down. There's nothing more annoying than buying a new phone and then having to endure sub-standard audio qualities on phone calls.
I don't understand why underscreen fingerprint scanners are so low down on the screen, if they were nearer the middle of the display it would be much more ergonomic.
Only thing that bugs me about this phone is the location of the headphone jack. Im someone who always listens to music with headphones and rests the phone upright on my stomach but this would make that very uncomfortable. In my opinion they should've put it on the top of the phone instead
I've had the A10 for quite some time, I brought it to the shower for a couple times and got soaked and I've dropped it quite a lot too and it's still fine without any problems. I have doubts that the A51 would perform worse.
Waiting for mine in mail. About speaker. I always use equalizer speakers app.. pair to phone makes it loud and clear. Adjustable bass etc.I use on my new A 51 too

bought one recently.. what I did with finger sensor was just add 2-3 more fingerprints of the same thumb.. worked like a charm.. and yes you can bypass the "already have that fingerprint" prompt if you just keep doing it.

RED yea i found out that facebook was draining my battery fast for no reason so i deleted it and now it lasts me the whole day. As for the processor it is fast and runs all the apps easily. I like to do gaming so i can play clash royale and pubg mobile with good specs with little lag at high performance

I just got my new phone and still trying to set everything up. I had a Samsung S. 3. Things have really changed and I feel a little overwhelmed. I thought the Verizon guy would help me set it up but nope . Phone in box and bill and out the door. I am older and could have used a little help.
I have the A51. I've been using it about a week. I really like it but here are my dislikes: back button on swipe gestures can sometimes be a nuisance adaptive brightness is sometimes inaccurate fingerprint sensor is not perfect many apps are not optimized ^ all can be fixed withing software. Also wished the power button had a grip so I wouldn't accidentally hit the volume buttons. Otherwise I absolutely love this phone.
@@sp-vk4bl For my usage; I normally use it after school. I play casual games and watch youtube intesly. I wake up around 6am and come home from school around 3PM. The battery would still be above 70. Between the hours of 3PM and 9PM I use it prolonged and it drains to 30 easily. At this point I charge it because i normally stay up until 1 am. Can you get an all day battery? yes. I'm just using it too much. Also dark mode is enabled and automatic power saver is enabled.
You say the macro lens is gimmicky which I guess it can be but I take photos of little gaming miniatures with small details and that camera should be perfect for that!
The "IP rating" is just a rating companies can buy and when when they do so they can say it is splash proofed or so, budget phones often do not pay to get this rating, but some phones can handle rain and even a wash. This is something channels should test, maybe to see what phones can handle a 20 second soap and wash routine. Edit: And I like Samsung's single speaker, it is easy to use the thumb as a quick mute, and I often use headphones if I listen to music, videos or play Games.
Is there a decent mid-range equivalent with a smaller screen? Around 5.5 inches would be great. I am using an S7 which is only 5.1 inches. Now that screens are edge to edge, the equivalent would be about 5.5 inches, and that's about as big as I'd want it. I don't really get the huge phone craze.

It's been more than a year and a half Since I bought an A50. It works just fine. Decent Camera, Amazing Display, Moderate gaming performance and updates on a regular basis are all in it. When it comes to Mid range phones market, Samsung surely knows how to satisfy their Customers!

From their point of view they are quite cheap. Minimum wage in US is 7.25$ which means that they can buy this phone after working about a week.

The speaker doesn't matter for me personally cause all the time i use earphones and while listening to tunes i can just use my Bluetooth speaker

My A51 (Prism Crush Black) arrived from Amazon Thursday afternoon April 16th. After one day no regrets so far all my apps running smoothly. I've been learning by watching you as well as other TH-camrs on reviews, hidden features, comparing with other Samsung Galaxy devices. A big screen, longer battery life (4000) lasts longer throughout the day unlikely my S9+ with only (3000). I feel I've made the right decision in purchasing the A51

Having trouble reading the 'fine print', even witih good corrective glasses, I take a picture and enlarge on the screen. So, having a good Macro Lens is right up there.
I switched to the a51 from an iphone x and I can say it's a definite upgrade, no lag, 6GB ram, all the freedom of the android os, I love this phone

@@HE-tg5pf I switched because my storage was getting full and there was nothing I could do, as I wasn't gonna buy iCloud storage. Also, my iPhone x was starting to get seizures or a ghost screen, and it was getting annoying. I bought my a51 from ebay for 274 dollars and sold my iphone x and apple watch for more.

I've ordered A71 for bigger screen and a little better cpu. A51 is really good tho
For people having trouble with the finger print scanner try registering the same finger you use to unlock your phone to the max fingers that could be registered instead of registering different fingers, this way the sensor would be faster.
After using A51 for about 3weeks ago. And its pretty decent and AWESOME! maybe its because mine is 8gb
just got mine (128gb,6gb ram) last 2 weeks and i kinda love it.it feels premium and i love when i can do my assignments smoothly, tiktok all day and sometimes pubg with maximum 2 times charge. also the new update which the navigation bar can be removed makes me less desperately wanting the new iphones haha. the only thing i hate about the samsung a51 is my old iphone 5s can take faster snaps with better pictures with no blurs and smoother videos lmao.not only that, i have to regularly clear the ram storage if i dont want it to lag. but overall, its a decent phone

@@aena5995 yeah u can. but its definitely not for gaming tho.when u get the phone, i suggest u to add device care from widgets to the home screen so u can regularly clear the ram storage to optimise the phone. so far, i have no lag. for assignments, i only use it to change file or picture to pdf bcs its easier that way.i also have all kinds of google and microsoft apps on the phone for online classes.im starting to love the phone now.its easier to download anything compared to ios.
You're talking to an LG user and I will tell you this I tried in a50 last year a saw whatta a better panel super AMOLED is
LG makes the most premium feeling looking phones that I've ever seen but for some reason my $800 v50 can't hold a match to this a51 it's just incredible somehow Samsung just knows how to make a panel and they know how to make cameras even the the single-camera they had on their j7 I have a friend who uses it for his drone and the videos look far superior to anything I've ever seen from any phone in any class I know it sounds weird but it is true
Either it's the lenses they use or I guess somehow the circuitry but whatever it isif I look at a photo on my computer that was taken with a Samsung as opposed to an LG or even an iPhone for that reason
The Samsung is a better quality photo and not just because they over-saturate because even when I enlarge their photos they don't I do some very moderate graphics programs and I learned this very early on when I saw photos he took
I'm done with LG , I don't know why they get all the camera hype I guess people love the bells and whistles which would be great if their phones would not lock up while trying to use them ugh!

I bought my Samsung Galaxy A51 yesterday and at first I was not really happy with the overall performance/smoothness (didnt expect flagship performance but still less than I expected). But after Reducing Animations in Settings/Advanced Features and reducing animation speeds to .5 in Developer Options, the difference is NIGHT AND DAY! Love this phone now.

One of the most important aspects of any phone for me is the speaker/audio quality, so kudos to this reviewer for talking about that for this phone. I am looking for a new mid-range phone with good speaker/audio and very importantly in-call quality, as I want to upgrade from my 2017 Honor 9 Lite, which for a budget phone has excellent speaker/audio/in-call quality. I would not buy the Samsung A51, or indeed its bigger relative the A71, because going by this review and indeed other reviews the speaker/audio (and therefore I assume the in-call quality) lets them down. There's nothing more annoying than buying a new phone and then having to endure sub-standard audio qualities on phone calls.

I've had the A10 for quite some time, I brought it to the shower for a couple times and got soaked and I've dropped it quite a lot too and it's still fine without any problems. I have doubts that the A51 would perform worse.

bought one recently.. what I did with finger sensor was just add 2-3 more fingerprints of the same thumb.. worked like a charm.. and yes you can bypass the "already have that fingerprint" prompt if you just keep doing it.

RED yea i found out that facebook was draining my battery fast for no reason so i deleted it and now it lasts me the whole day. As for the processor it is fast and runs all the apps easily. I like to do gaming so i can play clash royale and pubg mobile with good specs with little lag at high performance

I just got my new phone and still trying to set everything up. I had a Samsung S. 3. Things have really changed and I feel a little overwhelmed. I thought the Verizon guy would help me set it up but nope . Phone in box and bill and out the door. I am older and could have used a little help.
I have the A51. I've been using it about a week. I really like it but here are my dislikes:
back button on swipe gestures can sometimes be a nuisance
adaptive brightness is sometimes inaccurate
fingerprint sensor is not perfect
many apps are not optimized
^ all can be fixed withing software. Also wished the power button had a grip so I wouldn't accidentally hit the volume buttons. Otherwise I absolutely love this phone.
How is battery performance?
@@sp-vk4bl For my usage; I normally use it after school. I play casual games and watch youtube intesly. I wake up around 6am and come home from school around 3PM. The battery would still be above 70. Between the hours of 3PM and 9PM I use it prolonged and it drains to 30 easily. At this point I charge it because i normally stay up until 1 am. Can you get an all day battery? yes. I'm just using it too much. Also dark mode is enabled and automatic power saver is enabled.

You say the macro lens is gimmicky which I guess it can be but I take photos of little gaming miniatures with small details and that camera should be perfect for that!
It'll be great for photos of gaming miniatures. It's probably a gimmick for people who don't use or need macro. I think it's a very useful feature

The "IP rating" is just a rating companies can buy and when when they do so they can say it is splash proofed or so, budget phones often do not pay to get this rating, but some phones can handle rain and even a wash. This is something channels should test, maybe to see what phones can handle a 20 second soap and wash routine.
Edit: And I like Samsung's single speaker, it is easy to use the thumb as a quick mute, and I often use headphones if I listen to music, videos or play Games.

Is there a decent mid-range equivalent with a smaller screen? Around 5.5 inches would be great. I am using an S7 which is only 5.1 inches. Now that screens are edge to edge, the equivalent would be about 5.5 inches, and that's about as big as I'd want it. I don't really get the huge phone craze.

It's been more than a year and a half Since I bought an A50. It works just fine. Decent Camera, Amazing Display, Moderate gaming performance and updates on a regular basis are all in it. When it comes to Mid range phones market, Samsung surely knows how to satisfy their Customers!
