Hi @TechDaily, I would recommend the Samsung Galaxy A55; its a new phone as of 2024, and is priced at about £285 or $360. It comes with the latest android 15, and supports up to 4 major OS updates. It comes with 8gb of ram, and 128 or 256gb of storage, which can be upgraded to 1tb. It has an Exynos 1480 chip, which has a very high performance, running most modern apps and games and it has a full HD+ resolution, for a crystal clear display. It has a 50mp main camera, a 12mp ultrawide camera, a 5mp macro camera, and finally a 32mp front-facing camera. Thanks for reading, and let me know if you thought this information was helpful :)
The A55 would be my first choice, but Samsung did not release it in the US. I could still purchase a Latin version, but I would give up the warranty to do so. That is a poor choice to have to make, so I will probably purchase the A35 only because of Samsungs update policy. I will always be ticked about the way Samsung forced me to purchase the A35 over the A55. On a side note, I wish reviews would always include the manufacturers' update policy for every phone they review. It is a huge consideration when I purchase a new phone.

3:54 the useful thing is to bring bigger batteries and improve battery life not useless circle to search that you can already do with Google lens . As an example 5000 mhA to the regular S25 , and 6000mhA or somewhat around to the S25 Fe plus and Ultra , and 6000mhA to the A siries because the M siries had already 6000mhA and some old M sires phones got 7000mhA as the M51 and F62 . Now we need to push them to improve battery life and camera hardware and not just performance and software . And if they improve performance they need to bring new games like Gta-like games or new open world , football , racing ...and every sort of game with better games stories and graphics . Edit: I want to notice that I am not against you or you opinion as a reviewer but I'm against this companies policies , and I want the reviewers to talk about this important basics that need improvements on smartphones today .
I bought an A54 new, used it for a few months, but it was too slow and laggy. It played games fine but doing any sort of multitasking was just not a good experience. Plus no samsung dex or wireless charging was a bummer. I sold it and bought a used s23 plus and I'm so happy I did. No more lag, multitasking is great, and having wireless charging + dex is great. I did have to manually flash the lastest firmware because it wouldn't update on its own but that was super easy to do. The recommended of buying last year's flagship is 100% the best bag for the buck strategy. And Amazon refurbished has been quite good so far (I've bought three phones this way). Ebay refurbished is a bad idea, took 3 tries to get a functional phone and the back glass ended up coming off less than a year after purchase.

Well, that depends on what's gonna make you happy in a new phone I would suggest you do a comparisons with these phones That way you're satisfied when you finally purchase one Also I can only speak for the a35 It's a very good well-rounded phone Don't think you can go wrong with it and all that it offers.

I got an A06, the cheapest a samsung phone can get. I don't regret it and might be my best choice. My original phone broke, and i was saving up for A55, and i was halfway there, and since I urgently needed a phone, i got an A06. It's so good! Updated to latest UI. Good screen and speed. The camera is just okay. Good enough for the price i paid. Call can get it for your parents who dont use their phone so much. Its just so good for the price.
I'm on an A34 5g, looking at how the A36 will be, probably will upgrade to that at the end of 2025 when it's cheaper. I actually would love to get the S24 FE, just don't have pockets deep enough.
On here with my S21 FE, and I've had it for over 3 years, I was holding out for the S24 Ultra but since updates, this S21FE is still kicking butt in 2024! It's still a great phone and very inexpensive..I think im going to keep this phone until next year and check out the S25 Ultra.
Last month I bought the S24 plus unlocked. Little more then $600 excellent refurbished off eBay. The phone was in a like new condition too. It's been a great device those far. I don't use any of the A.I features. But the performance and battery life. Has been really great so far.
Had a j7 neo. Still have it but it’s spoilt in my drawer. Thinking about getting it repaired and using it as a secondary phone. I honestly love that phone. The best in hand feel and old one ui was so light that it never felt slow
There's sum bad older flagship in samsung like S22 series I had the S22 ultra bad battery life, the phone use to get so hot uncomfortable very laggy might be one of d worst devices I never own.

If you dont have enough budget, buy newest midrange A35 or A55, and then update it yearly until you get to flagship area. Or update > 6 months after the phones released. Best price to value. More safest route than 2 or 3 years older flagship
Have had my S23 for 3 weeks. It's a nightmare. Worst Samsung phone I have ever had. My S10e is better. S23 has slow wifi connectivity that keeps breaking up. A simple Google search shows me it is a common complaint. Most people have to send it to repair. Samsung will not recognize the problem and people have to pay to fix it. I am sending my back for a refung. So disappointed
Just ordered an A35 so hopefully it's worth it, missed the black Friday deals cause my phone broke immediately after they ended but hopefully it lasts me a while and doesn't really leave me wanting the A55 or something else.
Honestly there's not a big difference between a35 and a55 . Apparently the 1380 is more optimized for gaming on a35 then the exynos 1480 on a55. If you want monthly security updates then go a55 .
Hey Wade, I hope you're right about the A35 5g I just bought the missus one for Christmas. If you're not, I'll probably be spending boxing day with the dog..🤔👍
I'm using a Samsung A12. It's a 6 year old device. 60hz and 720? 1080 display and 4G. Camera quality is really bad but can perform well. Although it's showing signs of aging. It's chipset is a MTK Helio P35. It lags so much. I needed an upgrade😂
I got a S22+ when it came out. Yes it was expensive but a freaking great phone. I still have it and don't plan on getting a new phone for at least 2 more years. My partners phone (a two year old Motorola) crapped out so I bought him an A35. He loves the phone and frankly when it is time for me to get a new phone it will not be a super expensive S series. It will be an A series phone. The A35 is one of the best phones I've ever had dealings with and the price is way more reasonable.
I have the A 15 and before it i had the A 53 and ive had many issues with the A 15, massive slowdown, cant have more than 1 app open at a time or they all shut down. It cant even keep drafted messages saved in messanger. It deletes the messages the moment you open the app or the message even though it says draft. I really dont stand behind this phone. The A 53 was a great phone other than the fact that the updates messed up a few apps and made the phone run slow which made me factory rest the phone to get a fresh start but once i did it was great again. I'd personally recommend steering clear of the A15.
Hey I'm still using my Samsung A13 5g. Had it from new and just had the November security update today. Also got the A15 5g too. Both of these are still great for another couple of years 👍
Thanks T.D, As expected, The new Galaxy S24 fe can be obtained for a real attractive price now days, with all the incentives and perks, your provider may offer. I picked up one 2 weeks ago for like $350- USD, factory unlocked, no term no contract. If you are on a tight budget, the S23fe is also an awesome handset with similar cameras and speed, especially the one with the SD-8 chip. As for "used phone, you always have to deal with battery degradation, depending how old and how used that phone is. We just sold an S21 fe with the SD-888 soc, due to battery issues, Had to charge that thing like twice / day, but it was good when the battery was charged up. If you don't care about the camera, go for an A series Galaxy for every day usage, like the A55 or A35. IMO / peace

@preston8872 go with the a35 if you can get it at $300 or less which is what a25 launched at . I have an a25 it's good but shop around and go for a35 .
I have the s24 fe. And I promise you. You'll love it. Its on sale for 500 and just as good as the 1000 dollar 24 plus. I bet you can't tell a difference
I did get the S24+ this year but I do plan on keeping this one until it gives up or its remaining 6 years of software updates are spent. You absolutely don't need a new phone too often nowadays.
I got my most expensive phone ever about 1 1/2 years ago. A Z-Flip 5. It gets all the latest updates and I used to worry about durability b/c it folds but it has been fine and I treat it like any other phone. No need to upgrade at this point.
For myself i like a good or pretty good camera, i take a lot of pics and vids and so i pick the last years S models and they are always awesome! If you want a budget phone id go with the moto g stylus or oneplus nord ce lite :)
I'm surprised you didn't mention the S23-24 FE best mid tier device. The thing about the A35 is that not all of them support the Verizon network. You may have to get it directly through the carrier.
green lines scares me the most about buying previous years samsungs, especially with oneUI 7 update on the way, the S21 series is known to have this issue
I need some advice here, i want an upgrade from my iphone x (broken) so I'm thinking of getting the A55, do you think it's a good choice? Thanks in advance.
I am currently using A22 and I am very annoyed about the power button because of the fingerprint sensor. Because of that, I can’t screenshot properly. Is this a me issue or is it something that everyone encountered? With that, is the power button for all the phones listed here good or better than A22?
I saw that on one of your videos, you had Hill Climb Racing 2. I play that I'm my down time when I'm on the road for work. Is the A35 good for that game? I'm still using my A50. It's been a good phone for me. I hope you see this comment.
Samsung's new budget and mid-range phones are just a renamed of older phones because they use the same chip every year. For example, this year A35 is basically last year A54, with the same Exynos 1380. A25 uses Exynos 1280 from A53. 1 version of A16 5G and A14 5G have the same Exynos 1330, while other version have Dimensity 700, 6100+ and 6300 with slightly to none improvement.
Thanks for amazing videos! Really helpful. I have a question. I use iPhone 15 for work. But need an Android (Samsung) phone for personal use. Which smartphone would you suggest? Budget is around $ 750 and needs good cameras.
I am planning to upgrade from A11 to A16 but it looks like alot still prefer A15 or maybe A16 is just fairly new. Still, it offers 6 major android upgrades. Sadly, there is just no earphone jack
Why did you put A15 in this video while A16 is the same price everywhere I look, and A16 has 6years of updates, which is a big thing to considee for people who want to keep their phones for years. Evem if the price is a bit higher, the A16 is worth it for updates alone.
I bought a Galaxy A25 on 3 December from Walmart. It's priced at $79. 20 cheaper than the A15. It's for the StraightTalk network. Replacing my old A21. The A21 is still a good phone in 2024...almost 2025, but I was ready for the latest Android. The A25 will upgrade all the way to Android 18 in 2028.
Well i say wait few months the get base S24 with 6 years os updates left. If need upper midrange go for S24fe/A55 12gb ram version Lower midrange A35 256gb variant Budget go A16/A25 ( now A16 will nof have headphone jack😢)
A16 review please. Rocking an A15 but dude I wish I'd waited for A16 with its ip-58 water resistance & 6 years os updates vs A15's 4 years. 16 also has 6.7" vs my 6.5"
honestly I am ltteraly going crazy with my actual phone, a budget 2019 huawey on its last legs, only thing keeping me from slaming it into a wall is that I have to wait till March or February fr the 25 line up to release so I get the regular s24 for cheaper abroad and who knows maybe I can upgrade to 256gb but I don't think I need it so probably not. only reason I'm fixated on the s24 particulalrly is its compact size and desgn(a bonus) and the fact thzt it will last me till 2031 at least (I tend to keep my things for a long time, I still use my ds lite from 2010 and my psp from 2012 and I've been using my phone for 5 years even if it's shit and only has 4gb of ram and 64 gb of storage). I already bought some fake air pods pro that ended up sounding just like the real thing for them (best 20$ I've ever spent)
Exactly my dilemma at the moment. My a52 5g was a very nice phone for the past 4 years, but the battery is starting to go down quite fast, and I'm torn between the plus and the FE.
Just bought an A35 in UK for £239. I considered the A55 but decided that it was not worth the extra £100. I was wondering why you did not mention the A55 when I realized it is not being released in the USA. A35, it is all yours There is an A56 launching next year so maybe you guys will get that.

More battery life like 6000mah or later = thick and heavy build quality which is not ideal for s series
The best thing about earbuds is that I can walk around talking to myself and nobody thinks I am the village idiot.
I got the a35 Upgraded from the a13 And i'm super satisfied
I'm thinking about replacing my replacement phone the Galaxy A54 5G with either the Galaxy A35 5G or Galaxy A25 5G or Motorola G 5G 2024 or Motorola G Power 5G 2024 or Motorola G Stylus 5G 2024 or a iphone. Which should i get?
Well, that depends on what's gonna make you happy in a new phone I would suggest you do a comparisons with these phones That way you're satisfied when you finally purchase one Also I can only speak for the a35 It's a very good well-rounded phone Don't think you can go wrong with it and all that it offers.
@theduceiswildtv5090 I compared these phones and the A35 5G is good and so is the Motorola G Power 5G 2024 and Motorola G Stylus 5G 2024 and the Motorola G 5G 2024 is good when I compared them all to each other.
I purchased samsung A25 5g as my second phone . I can put video files and save them inside a micro sd card. Plus it has a headphones jack.
I'm on an A34 5g, looking at how the A36 will be, probably will upgrade to that at the end of 2025 when it's cheaper.
I actually would love to get the S24 FE, just don't have pockets deep enough.
really love how this video is shot especially the way u showcase the phones and their color vibrancies
I'm using a Samsung j4😢😢trust me when i say the best phone is not in my pocket.😂
Sad
Had a j7 neo. Still have it but it’s spoilt in my drawer. Thinking about getting it repaired and using it as a secondary phone. I honestly love that phone. The best in hand feel and old one ui was so light that it never felt slow
I used a samsung j4+ since 2019 to 2023 and then it broke and almost 2 yrs later I ended up getting a new samsung A06
There's sum bad older flagship in samsung like S22 series I had the S22 ultra bad battery life, the phone use to get so hot uncomfortable very laggy might be one of d worst devices I never own.

@@SanketRoy_27 idk because I want to and I like buying new phones
If you dont have enough budget, buy newest midrange A35 or A55, and then update it yearly until you get to flagship area. Or update > 6 months after the phones released.
Best price to value. More safest route than 2 or 3 years older flagship
Why not keep the mid range phone for a few years?
@fasn279 assuming alot of people want to have the best they can get
I.m using the Samsung A 17,bought it new in 2017,still going strong

I got the S23 for 400€ and I think I got the best deal. I didn't want exynos, so this was pretty much my only option for non folding Samsung flagship.
😮😮😮for real? ¿Whereabouts in Europe are you? I'm in Spain and cannot for the life of me find it for under 600€. Help!!!!
@WeiWuxianMs Slovenia
@claudias2226 I don't have any problems so far
watching on my iphone 7 plus and it works fine nothing to upgrade
Just ordered an A35 so hopefully it's worth it, missed the black Friday deals cause my phone broke immediately after they ended but hopefully it lasts me a while and doesn't really leave me wanting the A55 or something else.
I like the A35. Just turn up that color slider, unless you like duller colors on your screen. I turned mine all the way up! 😂
I think it's a pretty good phone for the price. I sure like mine!
I'm using a Samsung A12. It's a 6 year old device. 60hz and 720? 1080 display and 4G. Camera quality is really bad but can perform well. Although it's showing signs of aging. It's chipset is a MTK Helio P35. It lags so much. I needed an upgrade😂
I think I'm gonna keep my a54 to see what next year samsung A series has to offer
So I keep my A54 another year, gotcha
I'm currently still using an S21 ultra, but it's still running One UI 6.0, How can I get the One UI 6.1?
Same here. I just got the s21 base model, but it only has one ui 6.0. I heard it's still getting one ui 7 and android 15.
@ZaneTheNinja2000 that's what I heard, as well.
After installing a new battery last yr for $35 I’m still loving my A71.
The tear drop selfie camera and larger bezels give the A15 away.
6:04 what phone and color is that on the left side of the yellow. Best color for me.

I got my A35 for my birthday in August... I love it
Still rocking samsung note 8
I have the s24 fe. And I promise you. You'll love it. Its on sale for 500 and just as good as the 1000 dollar 24 plus. I bet you can't tell a difference
Unfortunately s21,s21fe , s22 series have massive green line issues in south Asia
i have the a54 should i be worried
you have a good phone.
A35 and A54 are nearly identical inside. I wouldn't worry.
No way keep your phone for 2 more years atleast.
keep it for 4 years then buy a new one.
I did get the S24+ this year but I do plan on keeping this one until it gives up or its remaining 6 years of software updates are spent. You absolutely don't need a new phone too often nowadays.
you should do a review on the buds3 pro please!
S22+ here. Feeling left out 😅
Just pick between the S24FE vs S23FE
Watching on the Samsung S21 FE Snapdragon 888 variant.
Watching this from my Galaxy A15 5G 😊
green lines scares me the most about buying previous years samsungs, especially with oneUI 7 update on the way, the S21 series is known to have this issue
I actually haven't had any issues buying/using the older Samsungs in regards to the screen, but maybe opting for an S22 or newer would be best?
I need some advice here, i want an upgrade from my iphone x (broken) so I'm thinking of getting the A55, do you think it's a good choice? Thanks in advance.
I am currently using A22 and I am very annoyed about the power button because of the fingerprint sensor. Because of that, I can’t screenshot properly. Is this a me issue or is it something that everyone encountered? With that, is the power button for all the phones listed here good or better than A22?
Great review! My Samsung Galaxy A32 is is still killing it!!!!
I will buy Samsung galaxy a35 in two days I'm so excited ☺️ is a55 very better or no
My 52 is still doin grate 4 years now
Bro what happened a55 😢😅😊
I saw that on one of your videos, you had Hill Climb Racing 2.
S23 FE user here. I love this phone.
Bought S23 a couple of weeks ago and I'm happy about it
I am planning to upgrade from A11 to A16 but it looks like alot still prefer A15 or maybe A16 is just fairly new. Still, it offers 6 major android upgrades. Sadly, there is just no earphone jack
A16
Got this zfold 6, probably will hold outo it till something really good comes out or about 5 years
Why did you put A15 in this video while A16 is the same price everywhere I look, and A16 has 6years of updates, which is a big thing to considee for people who want to keep their phones for years.
I agree on the a35 buying option.
Well i say wait few months the get base S24 with 6 years os updates left.
If need upper midrange go for S24fe/A55 12gb ram version
Lower midrange A35 256gb variant
Budget go A16/A25 ( now A16 will nof have headphone jack😢)
have Samsung a34 its good for me so far

Actually only the flaship model. As you stated the s21 series, and then s22, s23, or even s24 series (but wait until they the s25 series launched).

honestly I am ltteraly going crazy with my actual phone, a budget 2019 huawey on its last legs, only thing keeping me from slaming it into a wall is that I have to wait till March or February fr the 25 line up to release so I get the regular s24 for cheaper abroad and who knows maybe I can upgrade to 256gb but I don't think I need it so probably not. only reason I'm fixated on the s24 particulalrly is its compact size and desgn(a bonus) and the fact thzt it will last me till 2031 at least (I tend to keep my things for a long time, I still use my ds lite from 2010 and my psp from 2012 and I've been using my phone for 5 years even if it's shit and only has 4gb of ram and 64 gb of storage).
