    I was just calculating the cost how much it would cost to build. As I thought, the price is considerably cheaper. Yes it's nice, but with those tdf logo's etc it looks a bit naff to be honest. Colnago love their little limited editions, just a 'cash cow' for the company. The only unique component here is the single yellow brake lever. The rest is standard kit. At that price I would expect all parts to be uniquely painted etc.

  • @dakrisht

    New Colnago font is pretty garbage.
    Regardless, Ernesto has always been a great marketer and snake oil salesman to build crazy buzz and hype around his bikes. And while the C64 is a great bike, they’re a lot more sizzle than they are steak - and certainly insanely pricey. But if you have a buyer, the train rolls on. The V3RS is a nicer looking bike than the lugged carbon (why) C64 and the paint scheme is solid on this “limited edition” but again, obscene money at play here.

    WTF have they done to their font - I mean, is the classic traditional Colnago font considered too old fashioned or something? Or maybe they've just done it in bold type and squashed it up, I don't know, but it looks wrong. I know they dropped the serifs and italicised it in recent years but it still looks classy on every other Colnago - that's just naff.
    I know looks aren't everything - you can't see a bike when you're riding it - and I'm sure it's an awesome bike but it ain't got no class (unlike just about every Colnago ever built) - if you didn't know better you'd think it was a Chinese replica, and not a very convincing one at that, in fact Chinese replicas look more convincing. Yeuch. :(

      @kyle_c936 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@andycorso8498 I know but I just think it's a change for the worse - hope it's just a one off - they haven't changed the current font on their website or any of their other current bikes and I hope they don't. Fonts don't count for nothing in the great scheme of things, of course, but part of what makes a Colnago classy is its classy looks and that bike just isn't classy, at least not to my eyes.
