      @@fernandodisola6675 Excellent. You should have another fantastic riding season outside on that. I'm waiting on mine (also rim brake) to be finished at our local bike shop. Then, when the weather gets nice, I'm gone outside.

      @@fernandodisola6675 Hahah! ABS braking systems. LOL. I do understand the why for disc brakes and safety, but that mainly applies to rainy/wet road conditions. Oh, I just picked my bike up a little while ago and did my first ride on it. You're going to be VERY happy with it. And the rim brakes are awesome, especially since I am staying with carbon wheels that have alloy rims--that is a better braking surface.

      Weight matters if you get paid to ride bikes for a living. If you are a fat frick like most of us, weight doesn't matter and if it really does, you could probably lose some weight for free before you spend a few K to drop some grams.

      Reminds me of Magnus Bäckstedt when while commentating last years TT at the Road World Championships he was asked if he noticed that practically everybody was using disc brakes on their TT bikes even though they are less aero and heavier. He just said that it is obviously a great advantage even in a time trial to have brakes that actually work.

    Technically the bike Pogacar won the TdF on is the rim brake version of this bike. If you watch the stages all the hard mountain stages he chose a rim brake version and for the flat or last stage he used the disc brake for marketing/promo purposes.

      Technically Pog win Tdf on stage 8, where he put 4 minutes againts his competition. He used disc brake that time.

    To keep the weight down and to be more aero TP uses rim brakes on the stages that matter.

    Not a full aero frame and above the UCI 6.8kg limit. Shows you that the extreme obsession with aero and weight I have witnessed in the amateur community is misplaced to a degree. It's much more about the rider.

    Pro team bikes 2022, I'll take the Trek Madone for the flat stages and the Merida Scultura for the Mountains. Both brands with a lifetime warranty.

    7.1 kg with no paint WOW, i remember the days when the team mechanics had to add weight to the bikes to get them up to the U.C.I. lowest limit of 6.8 kg, you know the days before disc brakes.

    Further proof that it’s not the bike that makes greatness, it’s the coaches and riders. Bikes are all so similar now it doesn’t matter what brand you ride, so don’t give in to the marketing of it all, invest in yourself, not your overly expensive bike.

      Yes. I hang around the bike shop most of the day. The Dise brake bike keep coming back for sounds and oil leak. I am riding a Dogma F 12 Rimbrake I am so happy with it. No headache. And my Dogma F is coming on April. Rimbrake is my favorite.

      Forgot to say this I got many of my Cycling friend most of them Riding Dise brake. And some. Of them tell me they Regret buying the Dise brake. They say so troublesome when want to put the bike in the car. Because they worry their touch the brake it will lock up. And sounds. And if did not ride the bike for awhile the Dise get Rusty. I know it's only give headache. The Rimbrake you also can stopped anyway you want. The Race in UAE Stage 7. The final Stage. The winner is Riding a Rimbrake. People have their choice I just want to share what I know. Thank you.

    UCI should increase the minimum weight of bikes to 7.3 at least. Allowing frames to be made stronger and manufacturers to build safer components.

      @@MilesBellas actually you can tell the editor tried to make every shot of B-roll count by stretching it in slow-mo etc, but they didn’t have much footage to work with... I suspect most pro teams aren’t fans of lending their team bikes out to “the press” and Alex/crew probably spent a total of 10 minutes with this bike with the B-roll captured in a rush.

    Eye candy that's as awesome as it looks. But.., I have a set of tubular wheels for my older steel bike, I'm always uptight when riding them for fear of a flat. I stopped using them because of that. My choice would be the Pinarello Dogma that Team Ineos uses.

      I had a HED tubular disc and those wheels would pop if I simply got too close to railroad tracks. But, wow. Tubulars are the best on the road.

    That bike didn't win anything. Without the best rider/racer in the world that bike would have lost. That bike does nothing, can't move one inch until a rider (engine) is installed. Do you really think Pogacar would have lost on a Specialized or Trek, or.....?????

    7.1kilo is heavy af and 15.5lbs!! That's half a lb over the minimum uci weight limit. This never happened with rim brakes!!

    I feel like this bike lacks "soul". It's very standard looking, almost a product of homogeneous CFD calculations without an artistic spin. I much prefer the curves and style of Bianchis or Pinarellos. Don't get me wrong, the bike's a beauty, I just feel saddened that bikes went through what smartphones did over the past decade. Same design everywhere.

      True, but in pro cycling, it comes down to winning so more sponsors want to sponsor you and will give more money to be shown on the jersey. So the better the bike functionally, the better chance you have of winning. You would think they could save some weight somewhere to bring the build down to 15lbs but I guess they do that in his rim brake version.

      @@PartisanGamerDE he did win on the rim brake in 2020 & 2021 and rim brake in the mountains and disc on the flats. Rim brakes are more aero and lighter its shame it gone disc, disc are to solve a problem that doesn't exist.
