    *Construction seemed sturdier than other units I considered **MyBest.Tools** Noise level was reasonable. Good pressure and cfm capacity for a small reasonably light compressor.*

    Hey Gabe ...Just wanted to say i bought this little monster!!!!..based on this nice little video...Have to say that the compressor is pretty heavy and the noise level is not what Rigid claims!!...But if you are looking for a Beast of performance this is the one!!...and like you said It's a "Game Changer" for me....On a personal note i heard you are doing very well in your Detailing business,...Congratulations and keep up the good work!!!...and here's hoping you will still continue to post some informative videos as always...Wishing you continued success.

    That ridgid is pretty awesome. My uncle who is a contractor has used this 5 days a week for the last 3 years and it’s rock solid. Good choice! I’ll keep running my cheap HF until it dies then replace it with a better one 😁. I hope it doesn’t die though because I love it lol.

      I killed my little hot dog from HF. I added an additional 7 gallon tank. The run time the compressor had to do to fill its own little 3 gallon + the 7, killed the compressor, haha. I decided that I would just buy the best I could fit on the trailer. Honestly, the rigid is a work horse.

  • @aportman58

    I need an opinion regarding this compressor. I have for years had the original porter-cable pancake compressor which overall it is managed to get me through most jobs which I use my trim, nail guns, and framing gun on some DIY jobs, but the one time I attempted using it to blow wall and ceiling texture the consistency varied so much with my spraying due to having to quite blowing texture out of the hopper while waiting on the compressor to refill. Even though the working pressure is low with it dropping pressures so quick and restart it is almost impossible to get a smooth consistent blow texture job. I need to try to keep a compressor as portable as possible without getting a huge one and I really seem to like what I have read about this compressor.
    Regarding your opinion or recommendation, do you think this compressor would help maintain more consistency when doing jobs like blowing texturing small room ceilings and walls (i.e. bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, etc.)? PLease let me know ASAP.! I need to make a decision tomorrow or next day? Thank you!

    The Tornador tools require 5.2 SCFM's of air according to their website but can be used with lower-volume systems by using their in-line pressure regulator.

    • @TaminicoleBurke

    This looks like a great compressor for auto detailing. I'm not a professional, but I read where you shouldn't use too high a PSI with a Tornador gun. Obviously, your using the gun, even though the PSI on this Rigid goes up to 200 or so PSI. Are you using the tank valve some way to regulate the pressure, or are you somehow adjusting the gun to suit the pressure, not to blow out the gun? Any explanation would be appreciated. Marc T.

    • @TotalDetailing
      @TotalDetailing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would need to be a 200PSI capable tank. You simply remove the 3/8 knob valve on one of the Rigid tanks, attach a hose, connect it to an add on tank. Legit that simple. It can't be a 125 or 150psi tank, as the valve included with those tanks would trip their emergency bleed feature at 125/150 psi, thus just making the compressor run and run and the system would just leak air. www.toolnut.com/rolair-airkegplus-auxiliary-10-gallon-compressor-tank.html
