    I never stop learning from this channel! One of things that make it so good is that the recommended products and tools are down to earth products that are affordable and easy to get. The viewer is never made to feel that the tasks are too difficult or that the desired results are really only achievable by professionals using expensive high end products and tools. Thanks Josh for making videos for us ordinary guys!

    Thank you for your mentorship Josh I was intrigued that you would choose air compressor over the other 2 options. But makes sense to me. 95% of the time fabric seats and carpets you can get away with just APC and towels and a vacuum. Heck even using foam can cleaners like Meguiar's carpet and upholstery cleaner or blue coral is enough especially when you're mobile your client will love the fact that they would have no wet seats, especially in the cold months.

    I just got an air compressor, and I couldn't agree more. I use my steamer alot less now. I used to steam the vents and cracks in door panels now I use the brushes and air compressor. Another excellent tool is the scrub pads from auto fiber I believe. They really get into the texture of the plastics.

    Be extremely careful with drill brushes, since they can easily damage carpets. When I first started using drill brushes on carpet, I found that it was ‘pulling’ the fibres and made the carpet fibres elongated and messy rather than nice and tight and neat. I now stick with just using a regular carpet brush on carpets rather than a drill brush.

    • @FrequencyORD
      @FrequencyORD 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I use a white one (softer) that works perfectly on all different types of carpets in cars, I still use a normal hand brush for getting out hair and crumbs stuck deep in the carpet fibers. You might have been using like a red colored or green colored stiffer brush.

      I recently bought a Ryobi power brush tool which I find much better than using the drill. It runs slower and it's waterproof. The only con is the proprietary brush connection but (a) their brushes aren't that expensive and (2) if you really wanted you could easily manufacture an adapter if some sort

    Josh..I have to say that the Technicians Choice Ceramic Spray is the 💣. I cannot express how much this product blew me away. I used it in on the exterior of my truck . 2 weeks later when I sprayed the vehicle with water before washing I was blown away by the hydrophobic properties and slickness still. My new go too. I will try it on the interior next.

    I actually have a compressor on my list. My shop vac has a blower option and a wet vac option but it is a pain for me to switch it during a job especially since I also have an extractor. I’d go with compressed air before extractor. Being able to blow out junk is better than getting at the stuff that can’t be easily seen. Too many people think the value of a detailers time is low. To get to a lower price point, close is at good as it gets. Clean? 😁😁😁 yeah, it’s clean.

    The million dollar question........the mix ratio for tech choice I like 10-1 for interior. I don't like to use it straight even exterior mixed to 5-1. Its a very thick formula. I hate to wasted by wiping most of it off. I use power lock plus for the detail and tech choice for maintenance. The car looks like it had a ceramic coat installed. Anybody has a different ratio? 👍👍

    A good item to have is a ionizers, the kind they use to take the smell out of a house after a fire, they run about 100 bucks on amazon will make the car regain that new car smell, but to remove the smell of someone that smokes with the windows closed while running the HVAC, you might need to run it overnight, with the car's fan jumpered to run off an external power supply, or MacGyver duct tape & cardboard & using your own fan to push air thru the car's HVAC system, you'll want to put a fan in the car anyway to move those tiny ions around a bit faster, I always put a full sized window box fan in the car so it can spin slower, but move a lot more air, it does make it work a hell of a lot faster. And you do not need to run the ionizer non-stop over night, I use IFTTT to control the google smart switch I have the ionizer plugged into to turn on & off a few times during its run. Also I do not want to breathe it, so I turn it on and off from outside of the car, & will take a few hours for the ions to be used up, or leave with the windows down.
    It will also kill mold, mildew, & any bugs (fleas), as if you left your windows down overnight and 20 stray cats make it their home overnight.

    How does Super Clean compare to Simple Green, which is an EPA certified Safer Choice, low toxicity degreaser? It is as Lao available in gallon jugs and can be deputed to various strengths.
    I have also used the Sam’s Club bulk gallon jug degreaser for several years to clean equipment, etc. But it seems to be a little harsher than the Simple Green, and haven’t been comfortable using it on any interior cloth surfaces.
    Also, I did get the power drill brushes you recommended, and have been very pleased with them.
