The game has this weird glitch where if you move the camera in the UFO stage left and right all over again and jump, it will cause the character to move at the maximum speed and you can catch the UFO in no time with out any machs. Idk if it was patched but you can try out yourself

I got all the chaos emeralds in Mania mode and Encore mode and finished getting them in Studiopolis, too. I restarted the whole game at least 8 times trying to get them in the shortest levels of the game possible, so I can experience more levels of being super! #SonicManiaPlusRocks

The both have syncopation (the bridge part of studiopolis) and similar chords~ old swing jazz is what Studiopolis is modeled after Mirage Saloons piano parts and the horn is pure syncopation too, that's what gives it that swing feel
