Actually in the games' unused files the text hyper was found. Along with scrapped animations of the super emeralds blickering like in s3&k. Another text was found that said 'time to escape' in the font as the special stage instructions. Hyper sonic was probably planned but considering mania is a canon game sega probably didn't let christian whitehead do it
gotta love how there was so much effort put in to make hyper rings, a hidden palace warp, entirely new special stages, a double-transformation, hyper dashing, and even seemingly giving different attributes to hyper sonic, yet they couldn't be bothered to try and make the powered super emeralds match the art style

Dream? This is fixing what whitehead originally planned. After collecting all 7 emeralds, you could get the super emeralds, visibly shown from the word “Hyper!” In rainbow and super emerald sprites.
I love that all these forms are basically what Sonic can do on his own at some point in the future Knuckles essentially being Sonic Forces air boosting, it can sometimes feel like gliding Mighty's Hyper Form basically becomes the bounce bracelet And Tails/Ray can just fly as they please (Sonic needs to be super sonic to do this but the point is still there) thats really cool (I feel like I forgot something)

Theres a mistake, all the chaos emeralds (exept the green one) special stages is in a diferente color emeralds for example: the one that were sposed to be the red emerald instead it plays the Cyan emerald special stage and after the act clear it apears red
@@superskullmasterI'm not sure about that. It makes using and keeping the hyper form rewarding. If being able to remain Super already shows you can be fast to collect plenty of rings and mantain your ring count, keeping Hyper shows you have mastered the game.
I love the use of Sonic Forces' Super Sonic theme for the Hyper mode theme. I'd also be really cool if you could break the knuckles only wall with any character in Hyper mode, for no other reason than to just make the player feel even more powerful.
I mean, TECHNICALLY the Knuckles only wall can be broken by anyone, but the reason why only Knuckles can access it is because he breaks it automatically.

It does when you compile it yourself in Android Studio, but sometimes it may crash like when clearing Angel Island Encore
