I am someone who has always thought I've had ADHD. Yet I've never talked to a doctor about it. I have smoked weed most my life and since I've quit i can no longer focus on anything. I was thinking about talking to a doctor to try and get Adderall prescribed. After watching a few of your videos i am second guessing if that is what i really wanna do. In a way the weed was treating my ADHD allowing me to stay focused on things i needed to do. Now i feel like i cannot focus on anything i don't wanna go back to smoking weed as it made me lazy and unmotivated but also it aloud me to sit down for hours at a time. For streaming this was great. Now i cannot sit for more than 30 minutes i don't even wanna play video games anymore, Watch movies or T.v shows. I cannot focus on anything no matter what it is. Adderall seems like it can be a miracle drug for someone like me. I don't like the thought of feeling reliant on any drug though. I am so conflicted. I will talk to my doctor about it. These talks are helping with my understanding of the drug and other ADHD medication. Thank you. I enjoyed this discussion.

No ritalin also works on neurnphrine and dopamine

That I know - Both medications increase dopamine and norepenephrine in different ways, :"Adderall increases the release of these neurotransmitters into the synaptic cleft, Ritalin primarily blocks their reuptake."

Hey, I would love to see you do interviews with people who consumed adderall for 5 to 10 years and successfully quit stimulants.
I did listen to the Ryan podcast, but he's on stimulants, so it's hard to take adhd advice from someone who is dependent on adderall.
Raises the question if he could still be an "ADHD coach" without the medication.
For context, I was prescribed adderall in 2014 and quit July 14 22. It's been a while, but I still dont feel 100 percent and am learning how to manage the adhd naturally

When you say you dont feel 100 percent, what does that mean?

I'd love an interview on someone else who came off concerta or vyvanse.

For some ppl it can take a few years to feel better. Hang in there. Im 9 months off concerta. I still dont feel 100 percent either. For me that means brain fog, no get up and go. Brain feels slow and no energy to do much. Some depression.

I did an interview with someone, its called "Joe from the Sauna." and he recovered from adderall addiction. I also have an interview with another woman on adderall that I need to edit and put out and I thank you, Aurora ,for reminding me to get on it.
I hope some of these interviews and videos help.

I think adhd coaching is a great idea. I just need a coach that doesn't use drugs. Or used them and saw the harm in them and now doesn't use drugs. Yes you're right its basically meth in a bottle.

Never come off these drugs in an already anxious state. Will cause worse withdrawal. Im sure because you were cut off from your meds that made you anxious and didnt help your withdrawal.

Okay so she is on 10 mg of concerta because it's ER. But its still ritialn...methylphenidate. Im surprised you didnt know that was also a stimulate. The fact that it took over a year to find a med that finally adjusted to her brain, is a sign the body doesn't want it. Just my opinion.

It's certainly not as stimulating as adderall!
I have known these things, forgotten, and remembered them over and over. It's ok. I forgive myself for losing a detail. I too, believe these chemicals don't mesh well with us, but I can only speak for myself.

@@R.L.Kramer No worries. You still know way more than me. Lol I was started on adderall and I called saying a feel really bizarre and they switched me to concerta. I wish in that moment I wouldn't of taken it. But its part of my journey. I just want to feel how I felt before even starting meds. Lord willing he will get me back to that well being.

Okay why even bother taking it if its only 5 times in a month? Is she taking strattera everyday? Shes done this for 4 years? So many questions? No wonder why I feel like crap i took that drug everyday for 4 years than 2 years .(had a baby) after the 4 years. She is low energy after taking it one day.
