If Earthquaker's Life V2 is the best selling pedal, then why is it already out of production? Why wouldn't they want more musicians to have the pedal if it's made so many other musicians happy? They could clearly sell more? Is it to give the pedal some kind of mythical notoriety, thus jacking up the price of the OG's, & then being able to sell twice as many when they reintroduce it two years from now? Whatever it is, I highly suspect is some kind of marketing ploy. The common line is -we just don't have the parts any more, & I find that lacking in substance & believability.

Nah, I work for a dealer than they're consistently a top seller. I would sell at least 3 a day. They're more signal processors than guitar effects pedals.
Because of Covid supply chain issues and general disruption, they're thousands of pedals behind in orders to dealers so this list actually under represents them.
I've bought 4 in the last 3 months, i regret absolutely nothing other than the new rigmarole of selling all my other pedals because those things have cleared my board and inve toey out.. there's no point in half of my others now, wish I'd just got a Chase bliss pedal first, would've saved me so much hunting
Having been into craft beer and even home brewing for a while, I chuckle when I see similarities between pedals and beer. I think Fuzz is the IPA of pedals. So many people hate it and so many people like it, but for all the haters, companies keep putting out Fuzz, because it sells. See both how the Bender fared here and the decision by Boss to make a Tone Bender. And #1? A Fuzz with an Octave.
Really hope that EQD a v3 of the life pedal or at least builds another batch or two. Prices on the used market have been ludicrous and there are clones being built left and right to fill the void. EQD would probably clean up with another batch.

I put together my first pedal board this year. I don’t know how I ever lived without one. I’ve got a looper, reverb/delay combo, a distortion, a fuzz and a tremolo. Great practice tools and lots of fun to play. One of these days I wanna get a strymon reverb.
If you're stuck at home alone then a looper makes sense. I have the old Boss looper - I had to buy a course on it from Truefire. Only then could I coax good sounding loops.

Any of the limited edition ones. They’ll be sold for twice the price or more over the next few months. I’ve seen the limited edition Sunn pedal from Earthquaker being sold used on quite a few distributors websites. Most people buy them to make money off them. Same with the limited runs from Spacemam.
I understand the MXR Timmy and the Line6 POD Go, but I don't believe for a second that all those crazy expensive pedals (and highly unusual pedals for most people) have been sold in larger quantities than many other pedals.
And I saw so many comments when it came out to the effect that the Automatone Preamp was far too expensive, not worth it and it wouldn’t sell! 😜 Erm... 5th place is not bad for a very high end pedal that’s only been out for half of the year! 😉
I find it amazing that the Chase Bliss Blooper is #2. Chase Bliss are some of the most expensive (over priced) pedals on the market. There must be a lot of somewhat wealthy guitarists that can afford it even during these pandemic times.

I was already workless when all of this started, got more unemployment payout than before because government tried to compensate people for not being able to look for work. The Eccos sounds like a winner but I am only about three thousand bucks 💸 away from completing the Echo Array, and my tails do Vibrato and Flange, as well as two sorts of Phase manipulation. 🎸
Why can’t you? The Automatone can replace multiple pedals. Just sell a fuzz and an overdrive, or any of the pedals it can do the job of. It’s the most value for the money on the list. Most expensive too. I’ve been debating that Keeley delay, but Alexander’s new version of the History Lesson looks like more of what I want with the same quality. I’m going to sell two pedals to buy one or the other.

@@hoboroadie It's their fault they knowingly let people scalp the limited edition products they sponsor within days of the original sale. Some of the scalp listings for these pedal even admit they put it on sale (for twice the retail price) as soon as it was delivered. This is actually a violation of Reverb TOS and yet they still allow the listings. So yes, it is their fault. The people that buy from scalpers are also idiots too and feed the beast, but Reverb is enabling it all and take their 5-7% off the scalp sale too.
That feeling when you buy 31 pedals & none of them make reverbs list maybe I should have bought more than 9 from them ha .Who am I kidding I don't buy new pedals ; ) I would however love to see how many Corona chorus's they sold !
The pedals I see with a few exceptions are variations of ones that have been around for a long time and this is coming from a former pedal addicted gasser. I have delays and reverbs with 100s of settings and use maybe 6. Of my 50 or so overdrives, fuzzes, 5 can replicate all the rest. We have gone from making the tone "better" to seeing how much you can destroy the original signal using a overpriced boutique with a cool name.
