    Ahhh... I just installed one on my dad's f350 and I really wasn't impressed on the final fit. Thank you so much for the tip! Gonna redo the handle install ASAP!

      Excellent, glad this helps! For an even better fit, remove the rods from the handle mechanism before you final bolt your handle in place. Once your handle is in place, then reattach the rods. Make sense?

    For the benefit of anyone wanting to do this kind of project, there is no need to connect the backup light at the tail light, this vintage truck has a wire behind the driver side kick panel, gray connector; probe each wire with a test light while going into reverse, it'll provide 12v every time you go into reverse. I simply ran a wire from there to the radio input., and coiled/taped the camera wires on each end (didn't use them). The 12v is an input to the radio to tell it to activate the rear camera screen. The actual 12v for the camera I connected to the same 12v used to power the radio since it runs along the camera wires, the ground I connected on the rear chassis on a factory ground point. Great video, thanks!

    Very nice work. I plan on putting one on my 02 sometime in the near future.

      I really love the install... nice feature. Do you have a head unit that accepts the RCA?

      @@DrivingIntelligence Not yet, but that will change soon. I'll be doing a video on that when I do it.

      @@santiagodavila1426 unfortunately no. The truck but the dust soon after this video was released. However, I DO plan on putting one on the truck I'm about to buy.

    Hi good vide0 Where you able to adjust your field if vision with the camera

    • @DrivingIntelligence
      @DrivingIntelligence  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      there is very little adjustment, just orientation and angle of the parking lines, but not the size.

    So, is there one you DO recommend for a 02' F250??

    • @DrivingIntelligence
      @DrivingIntelligence  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      To be honest, the ISSYAUTO unit is holding up nicely after I made the adjustments. Very sturdy. If you're willing to make the few adjustments, it is a good unit.

    I’ve got a 02 Harley Davidson. Low mileage. What camera and parts work for it?

    • @DrivingIntelligence
      @DrivingIntelligence  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All the parts that can be used are listed in the description of this video. Same parts I used on mine.

      @@DrivingIntelligence great thanks. I removed the rear console and did the extra captains chair mod so I could fit my third kid in there. Turning out pretty nicely. I like the truck.

    Did you have to grind anything down besides the lock hole?
    On mine the side where the camera is doesn’t sit flush

    • @DrivingIntelligence
      @DrivingIntelligence  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I only made the modifications I showed in the video. But I removed the door linkages from the handle mechanism before I tightened everything up. Then reattached. In the video, I am referring to the rods that go to each side of the tailgate and held onto the center mechanism my green clips. You might want to release those rods, loosen and retighten your handle and then reattach the rods. Could also be the stud holes need to be opened for further adjustment. Make sense?
