I have been using this technique on TC-Electronic G-Major for 20 years - up 6c on one side, down 6c on the other. The pitch effect is way superior to chorus. Great video.

That is an amazing clean tone. Thanks for the explanation of the parallel path and how it affects the signal.

Thanks, Doug! I'm really liking the Archean Clean model.

Love it! In the 80s/90s I had a Bob Bradshaw system and would use my Yamaha SPX70 for the left/right detune and add a real subtle chorusing with my Lexicon PCM 70, but putting that slow trem up the middle is fabulous!

That is really cool and much different than just running a full chorus effect and tremolo in series.
Oh and the Standberg is sounding great. I love mine. I’m amazed at how many guitarists are totally intimidated by it when I hand it to them. I tell them to not pay attention to the differences and just play it like they would any guitar, but they can’t seem to get over the shape and size, the fanned frets, and neck profile. They seem to be afraid they won’t be able play it well and just hand it back after plucking a couple strings. Guitarists can be very self conscious.

I like that. It's a nice clean tone. Maybe a uni vibe to replace the trem? I'll need to check that out. I love de-tune , big fan of EVH tone using de-tune. Thanks

So you have combined chorus with tremolo. That's been done for decades.

No this exact effect hasn’t been used for decades because it wasn’t possible exactly like this. First it really isn’t a traditional chorus like was stated because the effect separating the signal and slightly changing the pitch isn’t modulating. Second, being able to run in parallel would have had to be done with some sort of mixing console. Third, adding the tremolo is what is giving the sound some movement, but unlike what you would get if someone just stuck a chorus pedal and tremolo in series. No muddy mess.
I often wonder if people on TH-cam that come out of the blue to make not just a negative comment, but an inaccurate one get some sort of perverse gratification.🤪
