Hayden - long time Helix user - this has made me really want to investigate the FM9...your sounds are so spot on. crushing it. appreciate you sharing this with us.
so I got my invitation to buy the FM9 and it arrived a few days ago....just loving the tones. going to purchase your preset tonight. appreciate all the time you put into this!
Hayden, have you tried the "Virtual Capo" in the Pitch effect block for changing keys? You can set up four channels on it (just set the hold function on whatever footswitch you assign to it to cycle through all the channels) for different keys and it tracks quite well if you put early on in the chain and have input 1 trigger it. You might be able to "drop" the "drop" pedal off your board for some more space! 😉
Great Video thank you I just purchase your preset but i get a overload on the FM9 i got the Turbo Version not sure if i have to do any type of additional settings also i cant see the 8th / 9th block any advice? thank you
So I'm looking to join my Church Band and looking to pull the trigger on SOME SORT of pedal board... The Helix is the only all in 1 solution (expression pedals etc..)... What's the rational for anyone to use anything else? In the context of a full band too... sonically the differences aren't going to be that astounding for ANYONE to notice. It seems that everyone wants a Nueral or a FM9 to capture their existing rigs - but I don't need that functionality. Give me your thoughts
My honest thoughts, Helix, Quad, Fractal, all sound great. I have owned all at some point. I rocked a Helix for years and it was wonderful. The Fxs alone were top notch. Too my ears and my sound engineers ears, the Fractal sounds MORE like a amp with the feel out of all the three. It’s for sure not the most user friendly unit out of the three, but if you are shooting for the best sounding out of the three, i would say Fractal stuff. Just my opinion and experience after owing everything there is.
The fact that the fractal doesn’t have an expression pedal is not that big of a deal… expression pedals might have a high failure rate depending on how hard you use them, and having a separate pedal makes easy to swap pedals for different brands with different feels, sizes… you can get spring loaded, mini sized.. I actually use my expression pedal a lot and I find more comfortable to have it outside the board closer to me, so I don’t have to get over the fm9 to use it. As far as sound and feel, number of amps, quality of the effects, pc editor, the FM9 is the best unit I have ever used. Not saying the helix is bad, I used one for many years but always thought it lacked a certain something I couldn’t explain. Some depth of sound, girth perhaps? From the first time I used my flirts fractal fm3 4 years ago i felt at home and overwhelmed by its sound. Even today it still blows me away every time I turn it on and play it for a few minutes, upload a new preset or try a new free amp after an update. I honestly never felt that way about the helix in all the years I owned one. It will definitely get the job done and do everything you need it to do. The FM9 will do things you never knew you needed and make you sound like someone far better. Hardly a week goes by when I play at a service and don’t get any compliments on the sound, either from the band members or random church members. I don’t remember ever having random people approaching me just to compliment the guitar tone when using my old rigs…
Hello! I am referring to your pedal board! Do you carry this pedal in the original pedaltrain hard case? And when you put it in the case, does it close without being too tight?
Hey there! Sorry to hear that. I would try cutting the plex verb as it takes to most CPU.Interesting it’s not working but i haven’t use a FM9 in a few months as I sold mine. I do know they upgraded the firmware since I made this so that could be playing a part into as well. If you can’t get it ill happily give you a refund bro! Hope that helps!
In all my years of playing Worship you have the most beautiful sounds coming out of your FM 9. Incredible playing also. Absolutely beautiful.
@@garycoraluzzi1166 thank you so much! 🙏 im still chasing tone through other stuff now but the FM9 will always have a place in heart.
@ Hi Again, is that FM9 preset still available? Please

Thanks Mike! I came from using a Helix as well, and while there is a learning curve to the FM9, the sounds are wonderful in the unit.

I actually have and I love it! The only problem is its CPU heavy and takes a away a spot for a pog if I need one. Great idea though!
Nice tones.
you get some great sounds out of that thing
Toppppppppp

Hello, these presets are useful for fm 3
como consigo este preset para Fm9 ?
Are you using a custom FC layout for effects?
Thanks for the video. This is exactly what I want to do. It's good to see it all fits on the NOVO 24. How are you powering the Drop pedal?
Just a Strymon Zuma underneath. Overkill but it was left over from my old board.
@@hairman49erwhen did you move to digital?
What do you mean they fit on the novo 24?
I can see your display screen of the scene seem to be different from FM9. Did you change something in th setting to show it this way.
hey there I buy preset fm9 but no work Don’t know what to eliminate to make it work
How do you use the 7 other scenes?
are those pick up are single or humbuckers please let me know Thank you
All Humbuckers my friend.
You use FM9 for your main? No nore pedalboard?
Hello!
I am referring to your pedal board!
Do you carry this pedal in the original pedaltrain hard case?
And when you put it in the case, does it close without being too tight?
I use a mono pedalboard case and it fits nicely in it. Not sure about the original one. Sorry.
Hi there
I have a fm9 turbo and one of your preset goes to 100 DSP. Don’t know what to eliminate to make it work

@@hairman49er I will really appreciate that. Yes I updated everything already, running fireware 6.0 I think
May I ask why you sold it please
Man sounds amazing!! What pickups in the portlander?
Thank you! Bearcats
does this sleeptoken?
Which vibrato are u using ? Can you share it with me please ? Thanks
Hi, its the Chorus block with Vintage Tape type. Depth set to 100% and play with the rate until it feels right.
Why did you sell this?
Wanted to try new things but i never could dial in the overdrives well, volume wise. I might come back one day though!
Fractal para worship 💩
I thought only DH had those hideous guitars 😂😂😂
I know… silly how “worship-tubers” think they are a requirement
