You definitely got you money's worth. The 90 Degree screw driver is made by Lisle # 64250 Right Angle Ratcheting Screwdriver. It was primarily used to remove the screws on the wheel well trim on the '70s and '80s cars. The idea for the big round knob on it was to apply a ton of pressure with your palm while you ratcheted it with your other hand. Anyone who has ever had to remove them will agree that they sucked to remove. They really liked to strip out and for a time almost every specialty tool company was trying to find a solution to removing these horrible screws.

Fantastic haul! The kind of haul that just makes ya keep going back... I know for me I cant wait to get to one and see what I come across.. great stuff Mr. Tom.. oh and that PM was made for walmart.. popular Mechanics was my first set of screwdrivers and wrenches that I bought when I was 18 or 19 yrs old.. and still have them 😊👍

Just WOW… that’s a lot of stuff for 100 bucks. Out of it all, my favorite item is the snap on 2 in 1 bit screwdriver set in the case. That was a really nice find. I have one of these but no case and only one bit. This kind of haul is what hooks a guy and make him want to go out and hunt tools every weekend. Nice job Tom, thanks.

The moody tools are good precision screwdrivers. Opticians use them for adjustments on eye glasses frames. The only complaint I've read is the new models rust easily with the black oxide finish.

All of those where great finds! You really cleaned up on this haul Tom! Pretty funny you picked up some chainsaw accessories. I actually just bought a couple of craftsman chainsaws at a yard sale last weekend for a $1 a piece🤣!

True lunch box story: Back in the 1970s I worked in a petrochemical company in Houston. Policy was that after your shift you would exit the plant through the guard station, and open your lunch box to show that you were not stealing anything. A common prank was to put something light weight into a guys lunch box, like, say, toilet paper. The guy would not notice until he was revealed as a TP thief, causing a lot of embarassment.
So I have a homemade Palm ratchet, it's quite literally a fine tooth ratchet head machines into a shower handle. I don't work on cars, nonetheless I think I use that 75% of the time. It's just so damn handy! It fits everywhere, you can get a surprising amount of torque on it, at least on mine you can slide a bar over each of the five spokes though not the very deep. Honestly I like it so much, that even when I use a normal ratchet to break something free, I just sort of automatically switch the socket to the Palm handle. I have some unusual dexterity problems so I don't know how much I speak for others, but I love the thing a lot more than I'm comfortable admitting, I'm not sure why it's vaguely embarrassing. That one looks like a great tool! Overall incredible score

Graphite powder works well in locks and hinges. But and this is a really big but, it's filthy. You'll be cleaning gray powder forever. It'll make everything dirty. Put a key in a lock where you've used graphite and it'll be on your hands and clothes.
A PTFE, Teflon, dry lubricant is a better choice.

Great score on those Craftsman professional wrenches. I would have dug through everything looking for more too. I usually sell the snap on to help with the costs as well. Epic score on the 5.5 USA socket. I have had better luck rolling that hammered paint over brushing. I perused the comments and noticed no one had any recommendations on those gas cans...

cousin says the pliers are used on old Chryslers and on hose clamps under washing machines. you use the 5.5mm socket when you put a piece of hex key in it and use it to remove wheel sensors in VW and Audi. he is always looking for caps for an old Snap on screwdriver with the bits . wish you could 3d print them

The condition of most of that stuff is unbelievable...............May sound odd but my favorite is the Moody's screwdriver set, I have cheap ones, I have professional ones and I'm not satisfied with any of them but those Moody's look just right plus I do like those cool old vinyl cases too.

If you decide to use the chucks yourself, I cannot be positive but it looks like those were threaded female arbors. First don't forget they are reverse threaded! But if you swap something for them, find a really hard Stone and make sure the face of the arbor is smooth and there is no rolled burr. The trucks should theoretically be that way, but a few swipes with the stone don't hurt. Threaded chucks are not necessarily concentric. Thread went on good and tight and try three basic sizes. If you're not happy with the concentricity, point the truck towards you and turn it very slow and try to clock where it wows and make a mark. You want to file a tiny bit opposite these marks, clean and start from scratch. It's not a hard job but it requires patience to get right. Don't rush it. It's easy to do over a towel with a needle file in front of the TV. I'm personally not a fan of threaded trucks, but if you put in that little bit of work, it really pays off in the long run. I don't know about you, but it's an absolute pleasure when a drill has virtually no detectable run out. It sounds harder than it is. You got this

I had one of those ratchet handles I got off a Snap-on truck problem with it is the bits have to be round. I donated it to a silent auction because I never used it.
Moody makes great tools.
They even make drivers like this with micro wrench heads, and micro nut drivers like this.
Still made in the USA today.

You are correct, that is a Mongomary Wards wrench. They were a HUGE department store in the 50s-60s-and 70s. I think they were all over the USA. My grandpa McBride who lived in Ohio, LOOOOOOOVED him some M.Ws. I think EVERYTHING in his shop was from Mongomery Wards!
They had some great tools rebranded for them!

This shirt was one great score! You made a comment that you like old stuff in the original package. I do too but I'm always challenged with how to store or display it. A lot of the time the packaging makes it not balanced well, it really only works well on a store hook as designed. I was just curious, what is your method? Or is it because it makes it easier to flip?
I like the original packaging because I feel it helps tell the story of the tool and represent that time in history. I try to hang some on pegboard where I can and display where I can so I can appreciate them.
