I feel like a lot of your viewers watch your videos regardless of if there is a big hit. Your content and mainly yourself is why we keep coming back for more
Nothing is more uncomfortable then walking up to a yardsale, having some fun interaction with the person running it, then upon looking at what is for sale know within 10 seconds there is nothing there for you and having to do the awkward "welp, thanks! have a good day" and getting out of there as quick as possible. I always feel bad.
Vids like these are my favorites and here is why: For a european guy watching these religiously I dont necessarily watch any videos for any specific toy or score but more for the scene itself. The shots of peoples neat driveways and different setups of stands the chatter and the cozy porches etc basicly everything is gold for me. The outdoor sales are my favs for sure! Reminds me of my childhood watching movies dreaming about living large in the States hah - please keep these type of videos Froggy the whole vibe is what I am here for ! Many greetings from Denmark
I live here in the states but love what you do about these vids. Maybe just seeing how other people live. Or seeing all the things they have for sale. Plus I'm a huge yard sale/thrifter. I hear that it isn't as common in Europe
I agree!! I am in Trinidad. We don't have many yardsales here because we don't have seasonal things like winter clothes etc. When we buy a house we stay till we pass and it goes to our children so there is no downsizing and moving sales. Anthony's yardsale videos are so interesting because of that.
I don't know about everyone else, but I didn't start following this channel for the "wow factor" I started following to watch a dude walk around yard sales! :) it doesn't always have to be wow my good man, we will watch either way. Also, Broadsides and Boarding Parties is an absolute classic.
It's sad to know the greatest days to be a kid and for toy releases are long gone. Kids aren't even the same anymore, its all about the Ipad now. We all live in the past and appreciate your "In my day" stories!
True but noticed there a lot of young cats who collecting modern toys esp modern Transformers who getting big on social media and will keep the art alive. Plus these channels R seen world wide will influence peo in the future. Not to mention the money aspect for buying N resales.
I grew up in the hometown of Pizza Hut, and agree 100% on missing the old school set up. Salad bar, personal pan, Book It, and sit down/table arcade games. Good days.
Yard sales and estate sales were my childhood. Going with my grandparents, and getting 5 bucks for the day to spend on what I wanted. When the 5 bucks was gone, that was it, and I found some good stuff always. These vids bring me back and make me miss those days. I can smell the garages and the old stuff for sale, and the Midwest grass and humidity. Love it all.
I still love watching, no matter how quiet. Im in the uk an i love everything Americano, i watch the bins too. We never see the real usa when i was growing up. ❤❤❤❤❤ im only upset you didnt get kermit. Although Gonzo is my boy😊
Gosh, you're right, I'd probably take my kids to a retro style pizza place, complete with arcade machines and soda in a pitcher super gladly. Now that I'm the same age as an old person I get nostalgia so hard. That smell of the pizza cooking and the loud beeps of the x-men/simpsons/turtles game in the corner where a couple of kids were being just a little too loud, I miss it.
The thrill of the hunt is the only thing that truly matters. Yes, it's great to find top shelf pieces, but that's not going to happen every time. Plus, like you said, it forces you to become creative and look down other avenues. Kids today truly are missing out on the fun activities we had in the 80's and 90's. Going to eat at pizza hut then a stop at blockbuster on the way home was the greatest thing ever. Thanks for the upload Anthony and keep up the great work 👍
We used to have a Noble Roman's as well and remember having our birthday parties there. They allowed us in the back to make our own pizzas and there was a viewing area where your family and friends can watch through a large window. Brings back a lot of great memories!
And yes, I remember when it was special to eat at Pizza Hut. Like a real sit down restaurant. It was pretty much the go to place for kids to go on a date in my small hometown - Attica, IN.
I have such fond memories from dining at Pizza Hut restaurants. From Book-It and making our own personal pan pizzas to the TMNT/Pizza Hut partnership and playing Turtles in Time in the restaurant arcade to the first time ever tasting a red chili flake by putting exactly one flake on my tongue lol. Nostalgia overload and I miss it!
I miss these videos! I'm a collector and I sale from time to time, I think for me its the Hunt. I love digging through stuff and regardless of they are dirty I just want to give it a home! Nice job Anthony!
We have some great Pizza King's in Lafayette! Especially the one on 18th and Veteran's. Still has that old experience we had as kids. You order through a little speaker with a button, a train brings the drinks around through a tunnel in the wall that goes back to the kitchen, and you can watch TV in your own little private booths using a Quarter every 15 minutes. We still love it!
I totally forgot about the Pizza Hut experience. So much has changed since we were kids. Toys in the Corn Flakes, the Toy soldier you got at the dentist, the free show bags at the state show. Thanks for taking us along on this hunt for small treasures.
I don't mind the somewhat more mundane hunts at yard sales. Part of the enjoyment is just seeing what people have, your interactions with people, and just wandering around outside (vicariously, of course). My favorite item would be this 15:00 Rocketeer puzzle just because of the art. Creator Dave Stevens' work is really hot right now (albeit mostly his good girl art), and although I don't think he designed that, it's still a cool illustration. Definitely worth a buck.
Excellent yard/garage sale video 🐸 Anthony..😍😮 Love the Noble Romans monster pitcher and I agree with pizza place's not having the nostalgia like they used to..😢 The VHS haul was pretty sweet..🎉 Take care buddy..👍❤🔥🤙
Awesome video! Its the obscure items like that pitcher that are my favorite to collect. Things that are not to expensive but have incredible nostalgia connected to them. Thank you for your videos. Take care.
Love all the videos, but have to say I’ve missed these types of good ole yard sale videos. You made me nostalgic for watching you hunt for nostalgia 🤯…well played sir, well played!!!
I love that you showed this, Im so happy that Garage sale season is back on for you. Seeing the big splashy items is cool but just seeing the slice of middle America garage sale is awesome you never know if you are going to get worn out stacks of VHSs, board games missing half the pieces, and melted tupperware lids or a stack of 20 pound blocks of gold wrapped in tin foil marked $2 or best offer.
Please keep doing videos like this too. They are refreshing and a great introduction for someone who is starting out to get started. Plus it makes the big scores more exciting.
I loved this video still. Reminds me of your old videos when I first started following you. Always happy when a new froggy vid pops up. Much love from the across the pond 🇬🇧
I really like and appreciate that at no time have I ever seen you try to low-ball a seller. You pay what they ask and are always respectful. I see some shameless behavior by many of the most popular TH-cam Resellers but you never behave that way. Thank you for being above that and for your integrity.
One might think that this is not the best vid to watch after a long break but I enjoyed it. Thank you, we need to appreciate chill and kind dudes like you.
That Noble Romans pitcher looks like it is a DEKA Footsie pitcher. We had the one with the smiley face when I was a kid. One of my greatest childhood memories.
Thank you for this video even the ones without great items it's still fun to watch the hunting. As to the yellow monster cup I was very curious about it when you picked it up. Thanks for letting us in on the cup.
Thats how it is out in the wild sometimes you find treasure mixed in with common items and sometimes there is just common items ...this is what makes hunting for treasure and finding those items so special..always like you're videos
I totally get what you mean about pizza nights man. We had a local Noble Romans and we would have Birthday parties there and all the kids got to go back and make their own personal pizzas. Good times mate!
I remember the Noble Roman's Monster from when I used to live in Indianapolis in the early 90s! At the restaurants, a guy would dress up as the monster and walk around to everyones' table and scream, "Did you order a monster!?" Oh, the memories!
I'm glad you shared this. It gets SO discouraging to hunt and hunt, and not find anything when we watch TH-cam and every find is legendary. Thanks for reminding us that it's not always sunshine and roses.
When I go garage saling or hit an estate sale, I enjoy the people’s stories as much as the finds. If I can walk away with a new story, it’s still a win.
I don’t care about a big hit. I just love seeing the hunt. Seeing what could be out there is what I love. Obviously I want you to get great stuff, I just love the hunt of it all. Keep posting these Froggy!
I’m so glad you posted this vlog. I have so many memories of family time spent in a Pizza Hut. Also, Captain Kangaroo was part of the morning getting ready for school. Thanks again
This is actually good because people probably think you go to places and find real good stuff all the time sometimes you just have to keep on going to find that real good thing
Oh man, that Noble Romans pitcher is sweet! I remember they had the big window looking back into the kitchen so you could watch them make your pie, it was always pretty cool to me as a kid.
To be honest, it has the opposite effect on me where finding some crazy awesome thing every time gets boring to me. I started watching for the cool yard sale experiences and your awesome personality about it, and they'll always be my favourite kind of Froggy video. Of course, getting the big views with a crazy find is somewhat important, but videos like this are still fun to watch!
As a family we went to Godfathers pizza memories I will never forget . Seeing Captain kangaroo again brings back memories as well I happen to be talking about this show with friend the other day . Great video I really enjoyed it . Thank you .
