I don't think I did a great job at explaining the rules of the challenge in this video, so let me clarify some stuff here instead.
To attempt this challenge, I added an area object known as "CometNoSpinArea" to every stage in the game. This area object only has one purpose and it's to disable the spin ability. So technically any moves I can perform with this area object active is fair game. Even if said moves almost look exactly like a spin. If you disagree with the way I went about this, that's completely fine too. I just thought that doing the challenge this way would be more interesting than just interpreting what should be considered as a spin myself. Thanks for watching! :)

This is exactly what I love seeing in challenge runs. Disabling a mechanic and seeing what sneaky tricks the games will let you get away with like the spin bonk, super cool vid!

Interesting video ! I think that you can grab the star in chompworks galaxy if you jump on one of two opposite walls (I saw a pair in the video), then spin bonk to switch the panels, then wall jump to get out of the hole.

Snowballs can be pushed into snow Goombas to make more snowballs, and you can spin 3 snow balls into snow Bowser to destroy it.
Sure, but you need an open snowball in the first place, where there are none. You need to spin fire into a statue to kick it off in the first place

Couple things I wanted to address is that if u wanted to avoid using 2P as much as possible u could’ve done the flutter to the 3rd planet and skipped the 2nd entirely in Yoshi Star 1. A long jump over to the question block is actually possible in rightside down but requires maximum acceleration. There’s also a strategy in Cosmic Cove S where u stand still and shoot the bunny which makes him run towards you. Overall this video is very well made, good job

Gonna leave some honest feedback having watched this twice now. Keep in mind the negatives are just constructive criticism and does not mean any hate is given.
First off, it’s awesome that both you tried this with modding, and also that it’s possible to do. In terms of the editing and scripting I’d like to make some points;
- in terms of editing, this is flawless. There’s useful cuts to show what is necessary but that’s easy stuff. Scripting is a 7/10, because I feel like there were a lot of times were you kept repeating the same phrase, specifically “I can add another star to our total” was said for the majority of stars here. To counteract this I’d say the best thing that could have been done was to simplify the script a little bit. You could say “ this star was pretty easy but this one was difficult. Once I beat this boss I moved over to this galaxy...”. This just feels a bit more fast paced rather than a but unnecessary and repetitive, but the repeats used didn’t actually bog the video down in any way, it was just something I noted.
Also, would it have not been possible to slot in the star you missed in editing where it’s meant to be rather than adding it later on lmao
Also also, I need to address that I feel speedinkling wasn’t in this video enough for a collab. He was just there for a few galaxies, and to add a few points. If you do another collab with him, I’d say add him into the video more. Especially for that ending bit that was like “wait?! This is possible!?” That could certainly be an artificial conversion between you two, just as an example.
Lastly, I know this is one of your first proper scripted videos but SPG in particular sounded very much like you were just reading the script. Not sure how to change that but it was just a note.
Basically this is an insanely good video that’s well edited but a couple of things I noted could have made it even better. I apologise if this came across as me critiquing this video negatively, I just wanted to acknowledge them. ❤️

It's not really a no spin challenge if you're still allowed to use all the spin mechanics and still spin with player 2
It's a no spin challenge on the technical side of things though. The game has an area object called "NoSpinArea" or something along the lines of that; and the purpose of this area is to disable what the game considers as a spin. If you disagree with the rules still that's fair enough but I thought I'd explain that a little further.
