The raid on thr jedi temple was terrifying as hell. You have the clones surrounded you and then if you even survive, you have Anakin hunting your ass down. Grogu and the others are lucky to survive.
That they did is one of the many awful things of Star Wars’ Disneyfication. _Revenge of the Sith_ was very clear that all Jedi in the temple died, and that besides Yoda and Obi-Wan, there *maybe* were a few “stragglers” on other worlds who evaded their clones and made it to safety. And by _A New Hope,_ Vader and the Empire had destroyed the very few that survived besides Yoda and Obi-Wan.

Well they DID want to overthrow the legally elected official without proper evidence that he was evil or behind the whole war. Palpatine did have legal justification for this and probably the nail in the coffin for the Jedi.

I thought it was just normal at first and the younglings were like, a prequel thing of Obi-Wan as a Youngling training. Then the troopers busted in and I went "HOLY SHIT IT'S *THIS?!*"
No complaint so far. If not the tint of the green and blue lightsabers, it's very far from the prequel ones, but it's been this way since Mandalorian so I guess it's the prop they use? Still a minor nitpick, I loved the first 2 episodes so much!
I wouldn't since I can't take the Order 66 scenes emotionally but we most likely will since Reva is most definitely one of the younglings in this scene.
Honestly, everyone is overlooking the one Jedi who deserves major props: Zett Jukassa. He was just a PADAWAN, just 10 years old, and he still managed to cut down (by my estimate) 9 Clone Troopers before being overwhelmed, all to save someone he probably didn't even know.
@@Starwarsfan1253 No? Obi-Wan was way older than Zett during episode 1 and he was still a Padawan because he hadn't taken the trials yet, and according to the wiki, it's possible for Padawans to be knighted by 18, but it's rare due to the skill it would require to learn that quickly, thus the average age of becoming a Knight is 20.
I never thought he was protecting Organa. I thought he was looking for an escape route, saw Organa arrive in the speeder and was trying to get away with him. Still heartbreaking.
the scene with that poor master fighting so hard to protect her younglings breaks me, you can see how confused she is, she doesn't understand what's going on, but she knows she has to protect the little ones with all she's got what makes it sadder is you know the reason she was making it to the center of the temple was she was hoping there would be more jedi there, more masters to regroup with but there was no one
They turned the guy who hosted a game show, and voiced the most hated character in Star Wars, into the guy who saved Grogu. That actress deserves the same sort of thing. That scene is iconic.

Agreed. It also shows that aside from the lucky few or unlucky in some cases. (Jocasta Nu, Grogu, Some of the Inquisitors). Every Jedi in the temple most likely perished there.

When I was watching this it reminded me of the old republic cutscene trailers and damn I want a Star Wars the old republic tv show with lots of Jedi fighting sith. The choreography of the fall of the Jedi temple in Kenobi is amazing. The Jedi fighting the clone troopers as the scene zooms out is so good definitely old republic vibes.
The thing is that the real old republic is quite different than what is depicted in the KOTOR and SWTOR games, they made it more modern for the games. The games feel like they happen in the same timeline as the movies as the technology is practically the same.
The scene from Kenobi helped me Understand a little better how the Jedi in the temple could be so overwhelmed in a fight against clones. But it’s a lot harder to protect yourself when you’re also trying to look after even just your Palawan, your friend, or a mentor, not to mention if you’re a legend like this jedi and help a whole group of children stay together and escape. I imagine it was also just, a lot more emotion and raw shit than most Jedi at the temple were used to
2:00 is the part absolutely destroyed me. Not because of the Jedi losing in the background but because of the younglings holding hands as they run. The fear they must have felt always leaves a pit in my stomach
The more short scenes and angles we see from order 66, the more sad and tragic it gets. The zoom out at 2:00 sent CHILLS down my spine when i saw all of those jedi fighting and dying against the clones. Star Wars is truly something great.
I think the Order 66 scene in the Kenobi series was very well done and portrayed. Showing the absolute surprise the clones had on the Jedi, who are in the middle of a class and just start getting shot at. I think a “cherry on top” moment could have been when out in the hallway you just see a hooded figure, blue lightsaber in hand, and he turns around slowly and right before you see his face it’s cuts away. So excited for the rest of this show and hope we see more angles of order 66.
I found it lacking, the battle was going on right outside the door.. How could they not have noticed? Especially the Master, you'd think she would have sensed something. Not to mention order 66 playing on repeat over some loudspeakers lol
Yeah I would have loved that they run into Skywalker. Not like showing him or the kids saying "It's skywalker, we are saved!" but rather implying that indeed those children met him.
@@Mobiusgen I’m with you, yea it’s funny that some masters like jaro tapal, Ashoka, and others could sense it moments before it happened….I like to think that in this scene the shooting hadn’t really started yet and it had just begun when they ran into the training room. @@Mobiusgen Yeah I definitely caught it lacking. It was pretty funny seeing the Clones with the usual redshirt/stormtrooper level aim just missing like 8 targets despite having the element of surprise and firing about 5-6 initial unanswered shots.
I'm not a fan of that tbh. While I understand that the jedi were overwhelmed and surprised, jedi masters like Minas Velti should have been able to handle alot more clone troopers since they aren't jedi masters for nothing. We see them tear through the separatist forces like nothing yet they get killed by 10 clone troopers? Kinda disappointing imo
@Will Is Still Here to be fair, clones were some of the best soldiers in the history of the galaxy and were considered to be worth multiple battle droids. She even took 1 last slash to make sure she killed off the 1 final clone facing the defenseless younglings before she succumbed to her wound was just pure badassery and heroineism.

I honestly didn't notice the quality of the saber. It seemed fine in the moment. Maybe I was focusing on the younglings to see if any were familiar or if any dies.
This scene has always angered me, but Grogu watching his masters and caretakers sacrificing themselves for him is the first time my heart has truly broken.
@@an-animal-lover Because it’s a scene portraying thousands of innocent men, women, and children getting shot to death in cold blood, execution-style. That’s probably why the scene angered him.
Anakin's dark deeds is one of my favorite themes in all star wars and I love how Jedi Fallen Order used it as Vader's fight theme. It perfectly represents vader in battle. It starts out with what sounds like an angel singing and praying for your protection because she knows what is coming only broken by the chanting of the full power of the dark side. It just exemplifies how fucked you are when you fight Vader and how you can't win
Williams is a legend for a reason. The episode III music is imo the best in the entire SW universe, and some of the finest film score music ever made. From the drop into the initial score while they’re flying through the massive near orbit battle to the immolation scene, the movie’s entire score is…awe-inspiring. Great point about Fallen Order. I actually just finished it. Loved how they used episode III music for that scene and the purge scene. When Vader came on screen with that music at the end my jaw was on the floor until I was made to run for my life lol. Amazing
The kid that called him “Master Skywalker” and expecting help, being scared as shit and then flinching when Anakin pulls out his lightsaber always gets me.
right? Anakin was a legend among Jedi and someone who they looked up to. They're hiding in the Master Chamber scared out of their minds, clones are everywhere and Jedi are dropping like flies. Then they see Master Skywalker come in, and I imagine they felt relief knowing who he was, he would get them out and to safety. They looked to him for protection and guidance, with the faith of a child who can trust the adults in their lives. Probably some of the most heart-breaking slaughter in Order 66 even if we never saw it.
That Jedi that was defending those young lings, chills, that was amazing. Died a amazing death and even when shot fatally still managed to cut down that last clone
@Andi Chia not really, it took multiply clonetrooper for just to put down a single Jedi. But still they are much better than their successor a stormtrooper, for being good enough to kill Jedi even not on their own.
Honestly this edit alone proves that a film just on the attack on the jedi temple or order 66 would be incredible. Imagine it being filmed in the same way as 1917 where we just follow one character dealing with it all in 'one' take.

The Jedi that Bail sees gunned down, judging by how young he looks, may very well be a padawan. I always found that added to the horror for me. His probably saw his master killed and was left to survive on his own.
What I remember about the rise of the Empire is… is how quiet it was. During the waning hours of the Clone Wars, the 501st Legion was discreetly transferred back to Coruscant. It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word. Not on the flight to Coruscant, not when Order 66 came down, and not when we marched into the Jedi Temple. Not a word.
Honestly Order 66 will always be one of the most tragic moments in cinema. It's a beautiful piece of artwork but still something that will always leave a pit on your soul as you watch it
As more and more Order 66 stuff comes out, you really start to get the sense of actually how big the entire initiative was to the decimation of the Jedi order. I could watch a whole order on the attack of the Jedi temple
Reva is the first youngling seen, she's the tallest in the group, and she's in the lead when the younglings escape. It's interesting they chose to make it subtle enough that a first-time viewer might not pick her out as important but on a rewatch it's unmistakably her scene.
Your probably right but why does she keep saying the Jedi are evil cowards who would never give up their lives protecting others when she literally saw all the jedi that died protecting her and her friends?

Seeing the panoramic shot from RotS was something, it hits even harder when you're seeing the genuine panic and attempts at trying to stop the overwhelming numbers of Clones. There's a lot to look at and enjoy about this, my favorite has to be the 501st armor, it looks so well made. The wear on the blue markings, the consistency of shooting way too many times to ensure death. It all adds so much to what we already knew, and it makes it so much more intense.
I love how the clone troopers actually aimed at the female Jedi’s head first and she actually dodges. This was a fun scene but the show is going to be a slow one.
Lol, this is not just a stupid bam-boom series. I believe it tends to be an emotional series showing the passions of obi-wan during the Empires rule and how he managed to survive...
If you think about it, Ahsoka’s return only probably did a lot to save the few who survived the temple. If she never came and took half the 501st to Mandalore the entire Legion would’ve attacked the temple.
It makes since. George Lucas covers this once. The prequels have faster better lightsaber fights because it’s classically trained Jedi. The originals were an old man, a purposely badly built cyborg and a novice. In the sequels ray had even less experience with a lightsaber. Kylo had no excuse except that he like Vader was not trying to kill his opponent.
I love being able to see the Jedi temple in this way. In the prequels the CGI was apparent, and it never felt like real place, more-so a bunch of endless corridors.
The Jedi that put up the most fight is George Lucas' son who Bail Organa saw die. He took out loads of clones and got outside of the temple. He nearly escaped.
"Catch them off balance." A most sensible strategy. Knock on the door of a friend who trusted you with a bunch of other trusted friends and then they beat the heck out of the friend who trusted you.
I just hope we see Anakin kill some important jedi at the temple. Shaak Ti specifically is said to have been killed by him. That's huge. We need to see more of his actions at the temple.
Shaak-Ti was killed by Anakin, as shown in a vision in Clone Wars. But I would love to see Vader and clones slaying Jedi like Cin Drallig and his apprentices, the Temple Guards (besides those who probably surrendered and became Inquisitors), Eno Cordova etc.
It helps that EM is also a producer on the show. He and HC are used to a certain high standard of lighsaber choreography from the prequels unlike the disappointing showings we got from sequel trilogy.
Man,the only thing I always wil consider to be mistake in Star Wars is replacing clones with stormtroopers, they are so effective soldiers and they are really dangerous,I can’t imagine any other army in Star Wars lore that can take on Jedi Order-perfect and educated force and lightsaber users, like clones did, they almost wiped out most of them
They were replaced because palatine got cold feet. Personally, sith troopers from the old republic would have been a excellent choice for the emperor guard instead of those crappy stormtroopers.
One could argue that Palpatine wouldn't want an army that powerful after taking complete control of the galaxy. As individuals, Stormtroopers have something to lose if they choose to turn on him. Clones were bred solely to follow orders and fight, with little true loyalty; hell, Order 65 was actually the overthrow of Palpatine if he were deemed unfit for office by the majority of the Senateor Security Council. Plus, clones were far better at fighting and winning a war than maintaining order long-term.
The thing I like about this is the absolute chaos it brought, the Jedi had no idea what was going on and were souly reacting to the clones, then you had jedi who heard about the assualt and then heard "anakin and the 501st are deploying to the temple" thinking all will be good with the heros of the republic stopping whatever is happening only to the earth shattering reality that they are the ones who are causing it... masterpiece
I don’t believe this is the only time we’re going to see the temple massacre in Kenobi….they got our boi Hayden back and they will use him to his fullest potential!
This edit is incredible. The way the two scenes intercut makes it seem like the 501st sent infiltration squads into the Temple ahead of the main column led by Anakin. It’s a minor detail, but it shows how well orchestrated Palpatine’s coup was, and hammers home how doomed the Jedi were. Congratulations, you made a great scene even better.
Can we take a moment to appreciate the clone trooper in the bottom left who takes down not one, but two separate jedi at point blank range as both are mid strike to kill him? It's hard to feel sympathy for the clones but man, that guy must need to change his armour
Man he op as fuck, the first Jedi he killed… he just got close enough to shoot 1 laser while the second got killed by him and other 2, this scene was brutal af

If there’s one thing that I’m loving about Disney owning Star Wars is that there’s just now so much stuff about order 66. From the different perspectives, of it happening to seeing how the situation plays out differently in each regard, it’s just great man. At this point I don’t even think it would be insane to imagine Disney reintroducing general kota and his militia and seeing what happens then.
Order 66, is arguably the darkest moment in Republic History. This wasn't some one off moment, this was the systematic extermination of the Jedi Order. Friends, companions, and brothers in arms turned their weapons on an order that upheld the very institution Clones were bred to protect. This was a slaughter of victims. Its consequences lasting for decades to come. What I think the Original and Sequel trilogy represent perfectly is the impossible to rebuild nature of Order 66, how do you bring back to glory what took over 1000 generations? Luke, Rey, and their successors could never hope to rebuild that which was struck down so swiftly.
I'm loving these new scenes of Order 66 in the Boba Fett and Obi Wan shows because it's one of the most monumental & brutal moments in the saga, but Revenge of the Sith didn't do enough scenes or give it the gravitas it deserved.
Bail has honestly become one of my favorite Star Wars characters over time. I loved his cameo on Rogue 1 now’s hes in Obi-Wan and hopefully in Andor as well!
I'm guessing one of those youngling kids is Reva who seeks refuge with Kenobi at some point, however is dismissed just like that other jedi. She feels lost and finds her path to becoming the third sister, making her tenacious to put kenobi in the sand.
I think what’s gonna happen is she’s somehow gonna hear obiwan’s distress signal telling the Jedi not to go to the temple leaving her in there with no hope of any one coming to save her
@@CloutMasterCam Nah. I bet money that she hates Obi Wan because he recruited her away from her family to this massacre. That would also explain why she knows Anakin.

This was the only thing I really enjoyed about Kenobi so far. I hope they spend less time on Reva and more time on Obi Wan. This is likely the last we will see of him and he deserves a proper send off.
The idea of order 66 was brilliant, I still remember watching it in the cinema for the first time. It blew my mind and broke my heart at the same time.
This is a great edit! One thing that grinds my gears however, is how lightsabers have become "less effective" over the years. For example in the first scene from kenobi, each clone trooper seems to need multiple strikes from a saber to die, implying that their armor can withstand a lightsaber strike. However, in Revenge of the Sith, the young padawan is able to cut down each clone with a single strike and managed to deflect blaster bolts back to some of the troopers. Lightsabers should be lethal. They should cut everything down with ease except beskar.
One problem with this. You should put the anakin walking into jedi temple 1:05 before this attack on jouglings beacuse how 501 legion can attack them if they don't walk into temple
@@notinsaneAtall the 501 was arriving with anikan from off world if u watched the clone wars they certainly were not posted up there while anikan was away

They were replaced because palatine got cold feet. Personally, sith troopers from the old republic would have been a excellent choice for the emperor guard instead of those crappy stormtroopers.
That's the point, they are effective but expensive to maintain and that palpatine no longer needed them.
@@axelvillafanemunoz6839 I don't know who's idea that was but I still think it was the will of the force that Shimi got pregnant with Anakin, like how Mary got pregnant with Jesus by an angel.
@@gibbs615 that's what I meant, what I read was Palpatine did something and anakin was born but basically his destiny was always to be on the dark side. I'm horrible at explaining things I'm sorry lol.
@@axelvillafanemunoz6839 Still it didn't have to be that way. They should've done that comic so it was the will of the force that made Shimi pregnant with Anakin.
@@gibbs615 I agree. It just sets the setting so different is all. I like the original idea anyways.
I never noticed that before.
“Master Skywalker, what are we gonna do?”
He called him _MASTER_ Skywalker, in the council room. Likely little more than addressing him- that solidified his stance then and there.
But that's how all younglings/Padawans refer to Jedi higher than them. Even Knights.
Uh yeah, that's what padawans, initiates, and other lower ranks call Jedi Knights and Masters
Something about watching a cult who was until recently in charge of the most powerful force ever seen in the galaxy with little to no tactical knowhow get desimated by their own troops is cathartic. Oya Ner Vod!
When they hear the fans! Clearly we want more Order 66 scenes. Brilliant Order 66 scenes that is :) And they give us just that!
Man!!! Just focusing on the attack on Jedi Temple. Brilliantly edited!!!! Goosebumps man!!!! 😭😭😭
This is probably the single greatest starwars video ever more continuity vids plz
Thank you for your wonderful comment! May the Force be with you!
This was so traumatic! Such an amazing scene. I held my breath the entire time. Especially with all the news in real life lately seeing our old friends the clone troopers doing a combination (g word that rhymes with side) and (term that rhymes with cool scooting) has left me shaken for days since i first saw it
If there’s one thing that I’m loving about Disney owning Star Wars is that there’s just now so much stuff about order 66. From the different perspectives, of it happening to seeing how the situation plays out differently in each regard, it’s just great man. At this point I don’t even think it would be insane to imagine Disney reintroducing general kota and his militia and seeing what happens then.
There always was, it was just for people who weren't too lazy to read books and comics.
Gotta add in the footage from Season 3 of The Mandalorian now!
Absolutely incredible video thankyou so much for this honestly 😢
Bail has honestly become one of my favorite Star Wars characters over time. I loved his cameo on Rogue 1 now’s hes in Obi-Wan and hopefully in Andor as well!
I'm guessing one of those youngling kids is Reva who seeks refuge with Kenobi at some point, however is dismissed just like that other jedi. She feels lost and finds her path to becoming the third sister, making her tenacious to put kenobi in the sand.
I think what’s gonna happen is she’s somehow gonna hear obiwan’s distress signal telling the Jedi not to go to the temple leaving her in there with no hope of any one coming to save her
I have a feeling she escapes and ends up living on the streets before they find her.
@@CloutMasterCam Nah. I bet money that she hates Obi Wan because he recruited her away from her family to this massacre. That would also explain why she knows Anakin.
All the live action 501 footage in one video, this is awesome on many levels
I hope now we can finally see what Anakin did with the other Jedis in the temple. He had to fight his way through masters. That youngling scene was sad but not enough for die hard fans!
This was the only thing I really enjoyed about Kenobi so far. I hope they spend less time on Reva and more time on Obi Wan. This is likely the last we will see of him and he deserves a proper send off.
I hope they spend more time on Reva since her character seems pretty interesting, idk why they’d be competing for screentime or anything though lol
@@frostyfrenchtoast but the show is literally titled Obi wan Kenobi lol
@@Ay3shizzle And other characters can get development, yes.
100% agree! Tkx for your comment! 😀
"They should cut everything down with ease" - but then then fight would be too fast and easy therefore someone would complain here about that too!!!

One problem with this. You should put the anakin walking into jedi temple 1:05 before this attack on jouglings beacuse how 501 legion can attack them if they don't walk into temple
If you know anything about star wars, you would know that there are clone troopers in and around the temple 24/7
Two words, my dude... cinematic timing.
I agree it seems like the 501 is entering after this attack when in reality all the 501st was arriving with anikan
@@notinsaneAtall the 501 was arriving with anikan from off world if u watched the clone wars they certainly were not posted up there while anikan was away
@@minnil7927 Still doesn’t matter if anakin wasn’t there or something else, It’s a freaking video dude don’t over analyze it.
I’m so glad we kept the dialogue of “master skywalkwer there are too many of them.”
How could I take out such a gem! xD
Imagine if that Jedi training the younglings was more concerned with protecting them than she was with doing cool dance moves
I think honestly anakins dark deeds fits this scene much better than the republic march. Watching the 501st and anakin silently marching up to the temple knowing full well what they are about to do is haunting
padme’s rumination’s i think fits the march up the steps and order 66 scenes the best, chilling to hear and watch both of them combined
That kid with the blue lightsaber. He understood the mission.
It gets more heartbreaking every time. When I saw that Jedi Master trying to defend those babies to her last breath I fucking sobbed.
It literally looks like this scene is from one movie that’s how well it was shot. And whoever edited this video did an amazing job. You can’t even tell both these scenes are from different movies
So ironic, Skywalker is becoming father, but he’s here killing children
Super well-done edit. Very touching scenes to watch.
LIVE ACTION CLONE TROOPERS AHHHHH
this was amazing. thank you
This is so heartbreaking. The Jedi get a lot of flak for their dogmatic views and unfair treatments. But this is so sad. “Caught off balance.” Caught by surprise. Seeing Anakin slaughter those in the Temple is seeing your friend, ally, and fellow warrior start killing other friends/people without any warning. Imagine how horrifying that would be.
the only ones that flak them are Disney Star wars fans not real star wars fans
