Hi Toby hope you are well, I love your theory videos and would it be cool if giratina, Arceus and Eternatus plus Hoopa unbound had a all out battle against eachother, of course it is something I imagined but I thought I would see what your take on it would be.
OMG !!! this video almost represented a theory of mine that I have had for a long time. In my theory Arceus would divide his 1000 arms one to create each of the 1000 constituent universes of the Pkmn multiverse. In this one of his arms would be "infected" by Giratina leading him to try to destroy the universe, but Arceus would prevent him by transforming Eternatus in his skeletal form and putting him in a meteor that would fall in Galar 20,000 years ago.
Almighty Arceus did a very similar theory not long ago ^^'

Sword shield are represented by the wolf legends, the raven is represented by Corviknight, and the Spear is represented by Sinnoh's Spear Pillar. DP next up boys!

For a while, I expected the game's plot twist to be the fact that everyone misinterpreted the Darkest Day legend. It wasn't a myth or a historical event, it was a prophecy. You and Hop ARE the two heroes that will use Zacian and Zamazenta to stop the Darkest Day which was caused by Chairman Rose.
Idk I just thought that would be more interesting that what we actually got.
I would've preferred this a lot more than what we got. Now what actually happened in game wasn't too disappointing, it was just too predictable.

A young child has caught the hand of god. We are trying to get them to put it down but they keep yelling that they will beat Leon with God's severed hand.
Next weak on the news: Champion Leon beaten by child with god’s severed hand. Child says that the hand of god is really lovable.
Next up, we investigate the missing reporter... oh wait I forgot that he was just checking the galas regions power supply
Wait we’re leaving that in there?
My theory:
I'm more convinced that Eternatus was meant to be a Dragon god ruling over infinity energy (dynamax) to regulate it, and by extension prevent Pokemon from using too much energy and losing control by growing massive and wild (Why Mega and Dynamax Pokemonnare so aggressive). When Arceus was forced to banish Giratina, the flow of inifnity energy was disrupted causing Dynamax phenomenon in Galar, Z-power in Alola, and primal energy in Hoenn. Eternatus was injured by the disruptuon and was influenced by the Dynamax power, causing a chain reaction across Galar. Zacian and Zamazenta worked to defeat it and stop the reaction. The battle damages the body of Eternatus and scatters pieces of it across Galar (Wishing pieces) that will serve to stabilize Pokemon under the influence of Dyanamax energy (why we need Wishing pieces to fiind and trap Dynamax pokemon.) It formed the egg to try and recover, where itnwas hidden by the heroes until Rose started to drain its energy and damaging it further. This damage led to it losing complete control and created the Eternamax form. Capturing it cleansed it of dynamax energy and replaced it with infinity energy, trapping it in the skeletal form but returning its sense and responsibilities.
As for Arceus's "thousand hands," I think the many Legendaries across the regions are those, each ruling a concept, force, location, or element for Arceus to focus on bigger issues.

Conner Holvick If you follow this theory, it's likely that Arceus created Necrozma as a deity that rules over light and it's properties. So, even if indirectly, z power was a product of Arceus.
Personally, Eternatus looks more like a counterpart to Necrozma.

What if Necrozma is the Arceus of Ultra Megalopolis and Eternatus is the Giratina?
Necrozma is confirmed an Ultra Beast, and it has an aura when in battle. Eternatus also emits a red aura when powered up similar to an Ultra Beast. We can easily make this connection to Ultra Beasts, but what about to Arceus and Giratina? Arceus creates light and energy, while Giratina represents the opposite, antimatter, dark energy. Necrozma represents light energy, while Eternatus creates dark energy, bringing about the Darkest Day. Perhaps the nature of these Pokemon are the opposite of eachother, where the light deity creates in one universe but the dark deity creates in the other.
Weird theory, not very well expressed, but I hope people can get where I'm trying to come from.

If you look for it it's very faint, one of the quietest ones but if you listen carefully it's there
Arceus rules over the whole universe which includes the different dimensions like Ultra Megalopolis, its different dimension but not a different universe, so wouldnt make sense for there to be a Arceus counter part, but definitely agree with you in that Eternatus is an ultra beast
Arceus doesn't rule over all universes. An arceus is born everytime a universe is created. It'd make sense that arceus from different universes would look different cause they would have used different types and forms of the or energy to make stuff- the same for giratina too. In ultropilis I'd say eternatus is arceus and necrozma giratina while lunala and solgaleo are that version of palki and dialga. They're way different to our version cause the ultra universe is way different to our universe- arceus and his servants would need to maintain different things and they'd look different because they'd be adapted to maintaining that different thing. Also lunala and solgaleo don't fit with alola so they're canditates- alola has the tapus and solgaleo and lunala are masters in the ultra warp ride which alolan legendaries probably shouldn't be able to use. When necrozma went crazy eternatus probably tried it by getting rid of light that necrozma feeds on. According to the dates, AZ fired his weapon the same time eternatus fell (3000 years ago) and galar and kalos are close to each other. The weapon probably hit eternatus which is why there's no stories of it damaging other regions and eternatus accidentally caused the darkest day in galar instead of alola. The damage from AZ made it lose part of itself in the form of wishing stars and revert back to an egg.
this could perhaps be a hint to the existence of a multiverse, and ultra beasts are basically just pokemon, but from a universe separate from the one arceus made, and they broke into the pokemon universe via a rip in space-time perhaps caused by a black hole or maybe even infinite energy

Is it wrong that I think that think Entereus is a bit UB in a way?
They glow red when powered up, oddly shaped / design, a bit of power and weird also share a potential for a strange form. Just food for thought.
honestly, i think UB's were GF's test to see how the community would react to "not looking like Pokemon, Pokemon" in an attempt to see what they can get away with in designs if they were starting to feel held back somehow.
And Eternatus really resembles Naganadel, both in design and typing!

I guess, though I feel it;s still somewhat lose. Eternetus is a dragon type but lacks many classic dragon qualities. The statue of the dragon o the top of the dragon vaults in hammerlock fits that role much better

I haven't thought of that, i always linked Eternatus to Necrozma cuz Eternatus looks a lot like an Ultra Beast and falling from the sky could mean it fell from an Ultra Wormhole, not necessary from space. Also they are both Dragon Types (although Necrozma is only Dragon in its Ultra Burst form), they both achieve their final form through absorbing a special type of energy (Necrozma absorbs light from the Z-Crystals and Eternatus absorbs Dynamax Energy) and both their names comes from Death (Necro from the Greek word of Death for Necrozma and Natos from the Greek personification of death Thanatos for Eternatos). Also, being Psychic type makes Necrozma a natural adversary of Eternatus which is Poison type.
Terios try looking at a picture of naganadel and Eternatus right next to each other ;) you’ll instantly see the link... plus they have the same exact typing. The ultimate weapon that fired 3,000 years ago hit a naganadel and then it mutates/ gigantamaxed from all that energy

I was liking this, but I'd offer an alternative to the "Hand in an egg" part.
We know Giratina being the embodiment of anti-matter and on a rampage early on in the creation of the Pokeworld. So, what if Arceus used most of it's power to banish Giratina, and in it's moments after, fell in what would become Galar and Sinnoh respectively. This over use of energy would cause Arceus to sacrifice it's God abilities to save itself and all 4 realms from destruction, thus leaving an Egg/Container for It's God abilities to keep safe untill it could get itself back together. Eternatus is that Primordial God energy that took form as a shell of its former self, waiting for it's other half (Arceus) to make them whole again. Similar to the Tao Trio

Could Eternatus be an ultra beast? I always thought they didn't "look like" pokemon. It makes sense because they're alien. Partly the design of Eternatus looks devoid of personality, a trait the UBs are known for. Also looking at other pokemon from space (Clefairy, Solrock, Lunatone, Minior, and Deoxys) all or most of them have strong ties to meteorites. Contrasted with the UBs, who actually come from different worlds outside our solar system.
If I'm not mistaken, one of its Dex entries mentions it came from a meteorite. Or maybe it was Rose who said it.
honestly, I think they're done with UBs for now. that was the main plotline of gen 7, like how mega evolution was the main plot of gen 6, and they're done with it for now

Dragon D. Arrior agreed. With Mega Evolutions, the way we were told was that you needed a Mega Ring and a strong bond with the Mega Evolving Pokémon in question (aka in its final stage; Let’s Go and Mega Rayquaza are proof that the stones aren’t required in some cases). Dynamax energy flows directly and ONLY in Galar cuz that’s where Eternatus was having its energy harvested for so long. Mega Evolution seems universal in Pokémon, as we saw it was available in Kanto, Hoenn, Kalos and Alola. There should be no feasible way that the Dynamax phenomenon can be used in battles outside Galar in other regions, unless the writers rush and make up something in the next games stating, that Dynamax energy also existed in Sinnoh by some means, like Toby’s theory.
It would make more sense for Mega Evolution to return in Sinnoh remakes or sequels than dynamaxing and gigantimacing in my opinion with evolution being so important in gen4.

i think it would be really cool if at some point in the arceus battle there would be a cutscene where you see it absorbing mega evolution energy the the z energy dynamax gigantimax eternamax infinity and maybe see it absorb the color of the universe light just like necrozma strengthening the idea that everything was created by arceus and more and more energy until...
you see the PRIMAL arceus and make it the toughest battle ever even more than ultra necrozma
primal bc arceus could represent the universe and taking its energy makes it more like it was originlally all the universe being smaller and just arceus nothing else so arrceus holds all the energy and releasing it obviously makes it less dense so the power is spread through the universe not just arceus

*My theory:*
_This is mainly based on my interpretation of Eternatus's first battle theme._
Its battle theme gives the impression that you're facing a monster (duh!), something extremely powerful that can damage the enviroment, but then in the 'calmer' section of the theme, you can listen this techno sound often associated with space, but it sounds kind of sad and melancholic; almost like something tragic that we don't know of happened.
My thoughts? Infinity energy and Dinamax energy are not the same. Infinity energy is the essence of life in the Pokémon world, and Dynamax energy is the equivalent on Eternatus's home planet. When it interacts with a Pokémon, it affects its natural size and power, and can even cause mutations (Gigantamax), it is unnatural, almost like a disease, hence Eternatus's poison typing.
Eternatus (or the Eternatuses) is the last form of life remaining from its home planet, where it was at the edge of extinction, and left it hoping to found a new home where it could thrive, but instead of succeeding, it died waiting for that to happen. Then, 20.000 years ago, a meteorite crashed on today's Galar containing what looks like the skeleton, or the fossil of a strange dragon that one day was alive, and it was full of this harmful energy that once it interacted with ours, it caused the fossil to revive in an abomination that radiated Dynamax energy it had been storing, affecting the surrounding Pokémon, and causing the first Darkest Day of history.
Eternatus is dangerous, but it does not want to be like that. It only wanted to find a new home where it could live in peace, but instead it was responsible for a massive destruction. The rest of the story, we already know it.

Ok this is just a theory so arceus is god right like a Pokémon based on him well what if eternatus is based on Satan giving you heaven and hell and that's why eternatus is causing destruction and also alot of dynamax Pokémon are found in weird distorted world's so maybe thats the destortion world from sinnoh or maybe bits of hell cuz dynamax Pokémon are not friendly till you defeat them but it's just a theory.

Timeline is the issue here. Eternatus and the darkest day was 3000 years ago. However Arceus created everything millions possibly billions of years ago. What was Eternatus doing in that massive time frame?

My main takeaway from this video was the idea of Eternatus looking skeletal because Chairman Rose was draining its power, and now I feel sorry for the poor thing.

I keep seeing this point passed over when i see people talk about Chairman Rose using Eternatus as a powersource. Not only was he using it as a living eternal battery, but he was also nurturing it. I feel like people forget that he sponsored Bede to not only be a competitor, but to also collect wishing fragments from other trainers. And those fragments went back to Rose and were fed to Eternatus. And once the final battle with it concludes, those wishing fragments are launched away from the arena and never collected again. Those fragments gave Eternatus the strength to complete the Eternamax transformation and its why we as players cant use it (aside from balancing)
Basically its another parallel to Arceus. Theyre both fragmented, not completely whole. And i have a feeling the Tao trio is involved as well somehow, seeing as they too can never be fully whole again, just like there is no way to complete Eternatus and Arceus' forms. You can only equip one plate to it, never more. And you cant give any wishing fragments to Eternatus.

I think another really great theory-crafter is Cydonia, the guy who runs the TH-cam channel of Pokémon Millennium, the biggest Italian Pokémon-themed website. He also recently made a few theories related to Arceus, Eternatus and the "giants". His videos are in Italian of course but the theories are incredible. You all are the proof that videogames can have infinitely more depth than people claim, keep on trucking.

In their world, maybe English is the ancient mysterious language that no one can read. It seems like the characters in-game have never noticed that Unown are basically just easily readable letters (at least that I can remember correct me if I'm wrong)

Great minds certainly think alike! Loved the extra bit on Pokéballs using Infinity Energy as well; I find it very likely that this is how Pokémon were able to be coded and stored in Pokéballs and the Pokemon Storage system. And the inscription on the plates as well! It's fascinating that as of now we can't find any plates aside from the Pixie Plate in Galar...perhaps that's because the giants there still remain "undefeated..."
Given our theories similarities (thanks for the description shoutout btw :D) I think it would be good to dive even deeper into exploring Eternatus. You said it yourself at the start of the video, Eternatus does seem rather mismatched with Zacian and Zamazenta. There may be some deeper reasons for this to be explored, and we may just see Galar build some deeper connections to the fables of Kalos ... ;)

Normal Type Arceus is the original form.
The power he gains from the 17 Type Plates aren't originally his, those belong to the Giants he defeated before creating the universe.

The Giants are the source of the Types, they had the "power" or "energy" or "magic" or whatever it can be called that makes a Type *be* said Type (ie, what makes a Dragon be a Dragon, or a Poison be Poison)
In DPPlt, the Plates had writings of how the Pokemon Universe came to be, whenever you found a Plate it would tell you a piece of the writings.
In them it is mentioned that:
>The Plates are the leftover "shards" of the creation of the Universe
>They are infused with "the power of defeated Giants"
>The rightful beared (Arceus) draws power from them
This means that Arceus in it's natural, original state, was Pure Normal. It was *after* defeating the Giants and obtaining the Plates that he could become of other Types (or in the case of Lore, be all Types simultaneously as he always carries all Plates with him and they are even shown to be inside it)

PS Theory Time:
1. This is the reason why I believe Type: Full (Sylvally) went berserker when Aether Foundation tried to implement the RKS System. He was frankenstein-builded with pieces of Pokemon from every single Type, all 18. I think that all of that power in one single body was just too much for it to handle, it was simply unnatural. Not even when released from the Mask he can do it, as the Type Memories only allow him to become 1 Type, and this isn't just a Game Mechanic since in the show we see Gladion changing Memories on the fly (meaning Sylvally never have all memories at the same time, so it can't be all Types at the same time)
2. As of now, there hasn't been any Giant *officially* revealed, but it is believed (myself included) that Eternatus is one, alongside Necrozma, Kyurem and maybe Zygarde.
@@jvbon646 An interesting theory, though you'd think the Giants of those Types would only be of the specific Type their Plate matches with. And I imagine it would make sense for Arceus' original Type to be Normal, seeing as they only have one Type weakness. I mean, look at what Guzma was able to do with a team full of Bug-Types. It wouldn't be that Farfetch'd to imagine there's more to Normal-Types than we know.

Actually there isn't anything more (sadly) in the Lore that limits the Giants to a specific Type. All we know is that at absolute Max, there can only be 17 (ignoring Normal cuz Arceus, and unless they add a new Type), but is possible that some or all of them had multiple Types, ie the Original Dragon Kyurem could be the Giant of Fire, Electric, Ice and Dragon (since he's lore-wise the strongest of all Dragons). Or maybe he was just Pure Dragon that could tap into those 3 Types without being one itself (in the same way mons can learn multiple types moves).
Or maybe there where only 2 Giants that had all of the Types between them. It's all really open up in the air for speculation.
The reason Giants are believed to all be Dual Dragon Types, due to a Dragon being GFs first pick for "Strong, powerful, mighty mons".
The increase in "Powerful 3rd Legendary Dragon" started with Gen 4, even the Creation Trio are all Dragon (this is more of an observation, but is believed that may have been the reason Arceus gave them that Type, due to it being the strongest). Basically, to say it in the way that Gnoggin would: "Dragons are about pure raw power"
There's also the Gen 4 Pokeathlon in HGSS.
The Pokeathlon stats for Arceus in any form are always the same (just different stat spreads). Except Dragon Type, which gives Arceus a higher stats total than any other Plate (except Fairy, since it didn't existed)
PS: Something I forgot to include in the last comment.
It seems like Normal was originally going to be one of the Types gained, while Arceus was going to be ???-Type, literally Typeless (like the move Struggle) as ??? takes Neutral from any attack. This makes sense in the context of "he had no type before the plates" and with the fact that Normal does have different interactions with other Types (it has weaknesses and even inmunities, something ??? doesn't have)
But this idea seems to have been discarted, as ??? Arceus was never inplemented (only obtainable via hacks), they didn't added a Normal Plate, and in the next games it was completly taken out of the code.
What if the Dynamax/Gigantamax energy is the version of Mega Evolution you get if there is no bond with the trainer and no mega stones? If the untimate weapon transformed stones to mega stones, who's to say the wishing stars aren't very similar to the energy the ultimate weapon gives off? Maybe, wishing stars are the non-mega timeline's version of Mega Stones.

What if Arceus and Eternatus are the right and left “hands” of the creation origin and the Unknown are the overseers to their world. Arceus fits as the creator and Eternatus could fit as a destroyer.

Arceus is the Creator god so of course they are related. Arceus is technically related to every Pokémon
Not necessarily, considering that Arceus just created other Pokémon. The real genetic ancestors of Pokémon and people are the Mews (which were created by Arceus, but not necessarily through regular reproduction - they were most likely "thought into existence"). Considering what happens at the Sinjoh Ruins, not even Dialga, Palkia and Giratina are actually its children, more like its first creations.
I mean like the only pokemons that got created about like millions of years ago by arceus is probaly giratina,dialga and palkia

Maybe its like in Hinduism. Arceus is Vishnu, the original, and eternatus is shiva, as it wakes up later.

Some very interesting connections, hopefully we'll get more lore with the dlc at least? I think Zacian and Zamazenta are a bit Arthurian - when Albion (Galar) is under threat (right now that's Eternatus) they rise again to save the day. So maybe that's the connection with Eternatus. But very interested to see if we get a concrete link between Eternatus and Arceus!

The reason why the Pixie Plate is the only Arceus plate in SwSh is so Fairy type moves have a held item that boosts their power like the Twisted Spoon or Black Sunglasses. Most likely isn't some Sinnoh remake hint.

What if Eternatus is a fragment of the God that Arceus used to be? What if it's meant to fuse with Arceus to restore its "true" form? Like the Black & White, and Sun & Moon Legendaries.
Here is a theory, ditto isn’t the fail mew clones, the a cell mews dropped when creating the Pokémon in the world, that’s why ditto can be found in any region and they are found by mew and even mewtwo, because both Pokémon cells are creating dittos. This would explain why ditto can breed with anything because every thing goes back to it. This would also go along with your theory that weezing and muk, were at one point dittos they just adapted to their environments.
I also thought it more likely that Ditto were discarded parts of Mew rather than failed clones for about 5 years. Of course I also thought Mew was supposedly the Pokemon that shed its hide to sleep as a human. I like your theory that they are actually Mew Cells & it perfectly explains why they would appear everywhere that Ditto appears.

Here is a possible theory, Eternatus hand form was once part of Arceus' arms however when it separated and landed on earth, it met two kings who from their arguing separated it into five forms. A lighting dragon, a fire dragon, an ice dragon, a skeletal dragon who was blown to Galar from Kalos, where it brought about the darkest day and subsequently became reverted to an egg due to lacking power in an attempt to regain its energy as the remaining energy was gathered by a giant golem and made into the Regidraco. The fire, lightning, and ice represent the forming of earth/planets which was what Eternatus' arm could have been responsible for while the dragon aspect is a representative of its arcane/infinity energy.
I would be more interested in a Primal Reversion of Arceus, Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina than a Gmax Form

Primal reversion is also only for the weather duo, as their original power was zapped by Rayquaza and they get their original power back through it. They will not use the same kind of storyline again. They will give them something new most likely

eternatus doesnt gigantamax, he summon his mother entity, one of the giants the original creature (original arceus) defeated to gain the power of the types to create an ordinate universe.
these giants are banished today somewhere between the universes and are just recently losing chunk of their bodies and some of their infinite energy, which they regrow because they are singular infinity, that fall in some of the dimensions and react whit the pokemons int hese worlds.
there are teorically one of each type like the plates all sharing the dragon type because of their ancent raw power cause that is what dragon type represent in pokemon.
considering every region infused whit some sorta of infite energy we can say that dynamax, mega evolution and z power came from the giants, as each fenomena needs the energy and a mineral tool needed for manifest the event: mega stones for mega evolution, z cristal for z moves and whising stars for dynamax.
these bodies are related to legendary pokemons that seem connected to these phenomena: in the games is confirmed that z cristals are shattered piecies of necrozma original form, and whishing stars are part of eternatus's body.
by this it seems that big chunks of the giants pokemon are able to become alive and indipendent, and they all share the dragon type and bodies madde of minor pieces able to refuse together.
by this reasoning zygarde is the legendary dragon type related to mega evolution, theory enforced by the fact that is power construct ability makes him evolve during the battle basically and because his cave is situated below the stone that indicate you the location of megastones that is said to have fallen of the skyes like an asteroid.
theere is no zygarde in hoenn because there were not big enough chunks of the asteroid to birth one.
seeking other dragon types able to divide and reassemble we can say that also reshiram zekrom and kyurem spawned from the chunk of a giant in the form of the original dragon falled in unima were now there is the giant chasm, the possible crater.
cause on no new mecanic in fifth gen we can assume that there were not enoug infinite energy in the chunk to infuse the region, but in the remake maybe, and this energy could be the key to refuse them all into the original dragon.
so for now, whe found the spawns of the ice giant, the ground giant, the psychic giant and the poison giant.
escludind the normal type as there is no normal plate so it must be arceus original type , there are still 13 out of 17 giants spawns to found.
eternatus summoning is mother entity has probably awakened it, and thats bad, because if the giants awaken, the will do the opposite of what the original ccreature did, which divide itself to generate the universe ending degraded in arceus.
they will claim their powers back to become one only, consumin the multiverse in the process.
we need to train and become the very best like no one ever was to prevent the ned of the multiverse.

And that wouldn’t make any sense. If sun and moon happens after sword and shield, why can’t you transfer Galar Pokémon to those games (besides from the fact that it’s impossible to transfer pkmn from home to bank). And why would they make sun and moon before swsh if it did take place after swsh?
I absolutely love your theory, although I’ve come up with my own conclusion that fits the timeline. I believe that Eternatus is actually related to poipole and naganadel. 3,000 years ago the ultimate weapon fired in the sky/space and then shot back down. What were to happen if naganadel warped into space and then got hit by the ultimate weapon making it mutate/mega evolve from being exposed to that same light energy. Plus Kalos is theoretically close to Galar.
If you look at a picture of naganadel and Eternatus together they’re clearly branched evolutions
Also being hit by the ultimate weapon would explain the size of its form and dynamaxing in general
Okay but Poipole has only shown up in Alola. Geographically speaking Galar is north from Kalos.. and Alola is south of Kanto and Johto while Sinnoh is north of those two. Unova is said to be close to Galar and Kalos.
@@fallensurvivor21 actually when you get into things realistically - Poipole isn’t really a part of Alola. Instead it comes from Ultra Space. So possibly a poipole crossing through an ultra worm hole in space got effected by the ultimate weapon. Regardless it’s super fun to speculate

If Eternatus is one of the thousand hands of Arceus, then Ho-Oh/Lugia, Groudon/Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga/Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram/Zekrom, B-/W-Kyurem (or the original dragon), Xerneas/Yveltal, Zygarde, Solgaleo, Lunala, Ultra-Necrozma, Zacian and Zamazenta are as well. Great theory, but each region (except Kanto) has a god-like legendary Pokémon, created by nature to fulfill their duties.

Good one. Makes a lot more sense than the ash/may shipping, (no idea what it was called). Hopefully we get more evidence of this. I think a good idea of a new theory (as far as I know, it's new) is: Ash will befriend Team Rocket, or at least Jesse, James, and Meowth. One of the biggest pieces of evidence is in Pokemon the Movie 2000, when they jump off of Lugia at what could have been a fatal height, so ash could save the world. You also have the sinking of the Saint Anne, and that episode when pikachu and meowth are lost together (I don't remember the name). Ash's gym battle with Lt. Surge would also be a factor. There is undoubtedly more evidence that I didn't mention, but this can't be a full fledged essay. I'm sure you could dive further in though. I never read about Arceus being left over of anything, he came from a single egg that came from Chaos/emptiness before the universe or even time because time came with Dialga.
The theory of the Unown being the thousand arms of Arceus absolutely makes sense, they are seen floating in between dimension in the fight of Dialga and Palkia, in that Sinjoh ruins bit they are seen floating around Arceus and there's also a bit from the Adventures manga where Arceus seems to be controlling thousands of them, plus in the Entei movie we saw how they can work together to make solid matter.
Connecting the thousand arms theory with Eternatus just because he takes the shape of a giant hand, while somehow manipulating the area around him and gives off energy, seems a little like we're complicating the story somehow...
