Great video, I'm just about to mod my 2nd wiiU with coldboot haxxchi (first was with mocha) I'll install nintendont for sure, I have a potential external hdd if I can get it working, how do I put gamecube games onto the hard drive for the wiiU? Because it obviously formats usb devices that you plug in and then the file format becomes unreadable by computer?

HELP: It does not work with a USB flash drive. But it does work perfect with a USB hard drive. I formatted the Hard drive exactly the same like the USB flash drive (FAT 32 with 32-allocation), the USB has an error as this: "USB FAT device could not be opened" I tried various sizes and brands of USB flash drives. I tried FAT 32 with 32-allocation, 64-allocation and 15-allocation. Nothing works so far.

@@camvel869 Yeah, I already have almost all the games, but I have about 20 8 gig usb's. I just gave my 320 gig to my son for his PS4, LOL. I think he already filled his up with little to no games, LoL.
@@camvel869 - I got a 2TB drive on it since then. I have it tweaked and customized so nice! I got tons of games on it from all sorts of systems. I even have backups of all my kid's games. Works perfect. All the games I have on cartridges and disc is on this Wii now. I made sure that my new 50" TV has the old connections on it.

@Boyish000 make sure you unzipped the games. Also make sure you're sorting by the correct storage system. As in sd card if your games are on the sd card
@SacredMirror no I unzipped and did exactly everything I needed to. What ended up working was renaming the "game.iso" to just simply "game". so i.e., for me, it was: USB> Games> SuperMarioSunshine> game very odd, but yes, not "games.iso" but again, "games" really hope this helps someone out there
originally I was going to use USB loader GX but considering the fact that feels like you have to do 50 other things just to get it to work on there and with this it's just click on the thing and Done I'll just use this

Basic , but where do I start . I have Wii sd card and internet connection . What do I do then what ? Anyone plz I have bought all these games a hundred times over and need to back them up etc .
If you don't have any homebrew (hack) installed yet you will need to do that first. Go to wii.guide/ for a tutorial on that. You'll want to follow that guide to the "cIOS" section. That is what you need to play backups.
Hope ya got it going . Ya need a sys folder with the game folder on each . It boots the game ? Just have 1 folder called Super Mario Sunshine , then copy & paste the game iso into it and make sure to name the iso game in lowercase then patse in a sys folder which should have , app loader , file and a bi2 file and a boot file . All contained in the folder named sys . So when you open your folder Called Super Mario Sunshine that you made , you should have 1 folder called sys closed and the iso pasted below it named game . I'm learning also and it gets frustrating but we learn it pretty quick . Good luck . If ya get stuck , there must be a way to email the setup ?

Only thing I ask. When using the gamecube controller on wii and playing a gamecube game. When I want to leave the gamecube game and go back to homebrew channel. Or usb loader menu. But when I use the gamecube controller it takes over and won't let the wii remote do anything and I can't go to homebrew or usb loader so I have to restart wii. Is there a fix for this?

Hello, I did everything that the video said, and the games do not appear, When I did the tutorial before it worked for me but now it does not. It leaves Nintendont and everything is empty.
Guys, some PCs don't automatically put the file name in the name of the file, so on default when you put the game's file into the "games" folder, rename it to just "game".
I just got done doing this on a Mac but am unable to get anything to pop up when accessing the "homebrew" channel which has already been previously installed. I have been able to get SNES, and other different games on a different SD card... but am having trouble getting gamecube games to pop up in homebrew channel... it is just blank with the blue screen in the background... Any thoughts?
If you can not find a website for ROMS, because emuparadise is down, check out Edgeemulation. It has everything from Atari 2600 to Gamecube. And it is not a virus. :)

If you want to use your own discs to get legal ISO files, use the Homebrew tool CleanRip.

Apologies, it's fixed now. You have to right click on those links and click "save link as" since they link directly to the files.

instead of renaming the iso to "game.iso" like he said in the video i rename it to "game"and it showed on my sd in nintendont
It depends on PC. Some pcs require you to write the file extension, like mine. And some others don't show file extension.

Tried to play metroid prime, but most of the time it doesn't even make it to the title screen before it all just stops working. Any help?
You may have put youre flashdrive in the wrong slot just switch the slot and see if it works

Will this work to load my physical gamecube discs on my Wii? I have the newer Wii without built in gamecube support.

Hey, not sure if you still check the comments here, but I was wondering as to why my Nintendont keeps sending me back to the title screen after claiming, "Failed to load IOS58 from Nand" and "LoadKernel() error 5 occurred, returning -1" Just curious if you have any suggestions or ideas as to what I did wrong, or could possibly fix
Im having trouble because if i try to load them from my usb, the screen just freezes on "loading please wait" or "iniatin slot device" and i dont know what to do know. Im using the same usb i used time ago but only now is causing trouble

Hello, I did everything that the video said, and the games do not appear, When I did the tutorial before it worked for me but now it does not.
It leaves Nintendont and everything is empty.
Guys, some PCs don't automatically put the file name in the name of the file, so on default when you put the game's file into the "games" folder, rename it to just "game".
I just got done doing this on a Mac but am unable to get anything to pop up when accessing the "homebrew" channel which has already been previously installed. I have been able to get SNES, and other different games on a different SD card... but am having trouble getting gamecube games to pop up in homebrew channel... it is just blank with the blue screen in the background... Any thoughts?
Where do the save files go? Do they store on an SD card or a Gamecube Memory Card? Or does it save the file at all?
If you can not find a website for ROMS, because emuparadise is down, check out Edgeemulation. It has everything from Atari 2600 to Gamecube. And it is not a virus. :)
